Anyone know what a reasonable price would be for a 1984<br>
JD 850 2x4, 1000hrs, 8spd. man., with a SMC 840 loader, sorry that`s all the<br>
specifics I have it`s in a public sale flyer. Thanks in advance for any imput.

The CK 30's are real nice machines.
I have a Kioti DK 35 with backhoe, done lots of landscaping, brush mowing, finish mowing, tilling, backhoe work,loader work, built a driveway, Etc.
So far after 360 problem free hours I've been extreamly happy with it.
The Big 3 make some real fine machines, but Kioti is definately worth a look, I've been real happy with mine !!

I have a Land Pride FDR 1548 mower. I mow about 3 acres of grass around my house. I have been having the belts come apart about every 3 mowings, approx. 12 hrs. There doesn't appear to be any damaged pulleys. Ikeep the rpms as specified by the manual. Any ideas what might be causing this?

I'm looking to put on rear hyd. remote on the back of my 1992 mod 1920 tractor to run a log splitter. I dont need control can i just put on the fitting on the back of the tractor for quick disconect hoses

I had planned to smooth out the very rough spots with a box blade, and then drag a piece of chain-linked fence behind the tractor as opposed to a pallet as you suggested so it would be wide enough to cover my tire tracks. Do you think that would work fine, or should I join two pallets to get the desired width?

As for the box blade, I'll start tinkering with it in the lowest field. That way, if I make a mess for the time being my wife won't be too upset with me! Any other tips on box blade use would be appreciated, as well. Someone told me to tilt it one way, anmd someone else said to tilt it another, etc., etc. As you say, there are many ways to do something, but I trust the judgement of everyone on here better thamn just about anything else!

I've often wondered if the anti virus software companies hire people to create new viruses? It would or does keep them in business.

I do agree with with tractor123! AVG antivirus software is as good or better than any out there. The free version downloads new virus definitions every 14 days and watches your email for viruses. If AVG started charging for the free version today, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I've used AVG for over 2 years now and never got a virus that it didn't intercept. It will certify incoming and outgoing email virus free.

DR: No I didn't fix or replace it yet. I used it bent this past w/e and it was okay. Just keeping a close eye on it and not over stressing it. I will be replacng it with the factory OEM next spring when 3pt season starts again (unless an aftermarket becomes available.).

The end is bent is such a way that it looks like a "P" rather than an "i", inline with the center, if you can follow me.

I have a Woods 5000 chipper shredder that I used behind a B6100E (12 pto hp)for a season. Worked fine, just had to go easy on the feed. I have replaced the B6100E with an Kubota L3130 but have not yet hooked up the Woods unit.

Does anyone know how to get the bucket cylinder on a NH 7308 loader apart to replace the seals? I've got the kit and an exploded diagram, but apparently NH doesn't have a service manual for the 7308. The outer nut on the cylinder doesn't screw into the casing, it screws onto the "cylinder head" inside. I can't figure out how to hold the cylinder head in order to remove the nut (which conceals a snap ring). Please reply short (I haven't paid the money to read "long messages", or reply directly to me at choltz_at_orbitworld.net. Thanks

If you are new to tractors, I definitely would suggest purchasing something from a local dealer for after the sale service. If cost is an issue you may be able to find a good used tractor. Some good used John Deere, Ford/New Holland and Massey Ferguson tractors in utility style (low to the ground & smaller frame) full size tractors may be an option. These are usually in 2WD but are somewhat larger than a compact utility. You can get by with these using a loader if you have rear ballast. If you purchase a compact utility definitely go with 4WD.

I would shop all the dealers in your local area and see what they have to offer. Also talking with a salesman and service people will give you an idea about how helpful they can be. The cheapest price isn't always the best deal

I am considering buying a GC2300 with FEL or a JD 2210 with FEL. When I tried a GC2300 with 2350 loader, the loader would not raise & dump at the same time. Is this normal, or was it because tractor was at low/idle RPM?<br>
JD say their 2210 FEL will raise & dump simultaneously.<br>

PTO shafts are rated according to their load carrying capacity. The Italian MFG's have standard sizes from 1-10.The #4 has a rating of standard working load of 40 HP when the shaft is used at 540 rpm's. To be exact these shafts have torque ratings. HP is a derivative of torque and speed of motion, so the HP capacity of the PTO shaft is increased by increasing the RPM's.

I have told the guys to put in the new heavy wall PVC pipe, they are checking the pump at the shop now. Also go figure you are in a desert with 14 gpm and I am in the land of constant rain with a measly 7 gpm at 460 feet.<br>

Absolutely purchase the belly mower if you are using for lawns. It is a very nice finishing mower built for lawns. The pull behinds are typically single blade alowing for poor finish for lawns. If you are cutting weeds you may want the rear mount. I suggest purchasing a 6 foot model....I believe that is what is priced to you. I have a 6 foot mower on a DX29. Believe me, it is not short on power!!! The DX33 will be even better. I have steep grades and have little if any scuffing due to wide width. They are set up that well!!

$I wanted to let you know that there is a very helpfull Bulldog dealer not far from Vestal, NY. Spencer Auto in Spencer NY. Marty is the owner and has been accessable and helpfull to me. He went as far as to take the tractor, a brush hog, and me to his own property to try it out. I have not gotten this level of service from any of the "big name" tractor dealers. He is also backing it with a one year parts and labor and three year parts warranty. It is definately not a Kubota in finish, but the tractor worked hard and was a fraction of the price. I also tried an Agco 25hp and a Kioti 20hp. The Agco cost $2000 more and was more difficult to use than the chinese bulldog. The Kioti was a great tractor, but I'm not sure its worth the extra $3,000. If you are still interested in the Bulldog, check out Spencer Auto. I think you will find his prices are even less than what you have seen at the Vestal dealer.$ DF-Bulldog advice
