My father passed away today, i went to get him for blood work and he was deceased. Its hard, first close memebr that I have to take care of all the arrangements for. I cant believe how much work there will be ahead of me. I am trying to do this right! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I loved this guy he was one of my best friends, also my next door neighbor. I was thinking of asking him to come up and see my new tractor this weekend but Thur. he had to go on oxygen at his house so that xnayed those plans. This is going to be a real tough week for brokenarrow, havent really cried hard yet but think its still inside, trying to be strong for my kids sake. This is tough! Real tough. Hard to imagine my neighbor, best friend,golfing partner and Father is gone. Hard part is I had to find him and knew something terribly went wrong even before I walked in. I called him at 8:20 am and every hour for the next 4, from work. I should of left work to see if he was ok but I didnt! This will be a hard week for my wife and family.<br>

Nope not yet for me, but last week I did hit a tree while backing up (in the side door and rocker!!!) Trying to get around the blue beast. Atleast my tractor was not hurt!!!!

So let me see if I got this right? You got the larger tractor tc35 vs tc40 for the same price from tar heal instead of your local dealer selling you the smaller one for the same price. You then also paid $1000 MORE for shipping? You may of saved a few hundred bucks at the most. (by my calculations witch could always be wrong?)

The relief valve for the pressuer side ie: lifting curling ect. is not actually in the control valve. How does your 3pt lift? Or how much are you trying to lift with your loader? How old is the tractor? I do not normally recommend trying to adjust the relief valve your self unless you have to correct specs and the right gages. If you are still in warranty and you mess with the relief valve and end up causing damage to the unit in some way you are in trouble. If you are still under warranty have your dealer check the pressures. If they are off they should set them at no charge to you. You may how ever get a road call charge if you can not bring it to them but that depends on your dealer and their policies.

I doubt if any standard homeowners policy covers a tractor for damage caused by human error - rolling it, falling a tree on it, etc. If wind blows a tree down and it falls on your tractor it's probably covered, but if you cut down a tree and it falls on the tractor it probably isn't. If they say they do then they should show it to you in writing.

Don't you guys mean "polyethylene" (milk jug & fuel can containers) not PVC which is "poly vynil cloride"? From my experience PVC does not hold up well to solvents (melts), and gets very brittle when exposed to ozone and UV (sun)light.

I have a buddy that has a Farm Pro 2425 (NO Front End Loader) and he has had problems with his, but not anything near a "nightmare". His fittings leak a little, the fuel guage don't work (stuck on half a tank), the power steering works but the wheel keeps spinning (you know you can only turn the wheel all the way in one direction and it is SUPPOSED to stop, but his doesn't), and some more "minor" things. To really be honest with you, I can't believe that the tractor is still running. He has put that thing through hell and back. He ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT DO ANY MAINTENANCE to the machine. I was the ONLY one who ever washed it, and it has 70 hours on it. It was plum filthy. Mud, sticks, grass, - you name it, it was probably on it. <br>
I passed by his house the other day and it was WORSE than it has ever been. I have NEVER seen that much mud on a tractor before. It actually p*s*e* me off because of all the time I spent cleaning it after I used it. <br>

Now, this don't solve your problem at all. He hasn't got diesel in his oil, or, the clutch hasn't went out. If I were you, I wouldn't buy another one either. I'd be furious too.<br>

BUT, just because yours is tore up, don't make them ALL no good. I have heard a few VERY bad things going wrong with the Farm Pro 2425 like engines and major componets like that. But, I HAVE HEARD MORE GOOD THINGS ABOUT FARM PRO THAN I HAVE HEARD BAD. That is no opinion cause thats what the owners of Farm Pros have told me.<br>
Do I own a tractor? NO, but hopefully real soon i'll be able to buy a tractor. I am NOT saying that I will buy a Farm Pro. It all depends on how much money i'll get-i'll leave it at that. Would I BUY a Farm Pro? Damn right I will. But like I said, it depends on the money.<br>

Now don't get me wrong. I would NOT buy the Farm Pro 2430. I have heard quite a few major things go wrong with that model. Besides, I think they are priced too high anyway (my opinion). <br>

I also like the "gray market" Yanmars (Japanese). That is what I am having trouble with deciding now. You have probably saw my post "Japanese or Chinese". I think the Japanese Yanmar YM2000 24hp 2wd tractor is probably a better quality machine, BUT, it is also 30 YEARS OLD. <br>

But all in all, I would buy a Farm Pro. I think you have had a bad experience and like I said- If I were you, I wouldn't buy another one either. But just keep in mind- One bad one don't make them all bad.<br>

Lots of valves do help.... My Tundra has 32 valves and it breathes real good at high rpm's.

I will agree with the statements that yanmar engines are very good and reliable engines. Just about every major equipment weather ag or industrial uses a yanmar in one piece or another. The biggest being Deere, New Holland uses them in their new compact excavators, which are made by kobelko. I have also seen them in many other smaller companies products.

4110 Hydro, DSCV, R4's, Folding ROPS... $12,275.00
410 loader w/ 53" bucket............... $2,300.00

790 4WD, DSCV, Mid-PTO, R4 tires........... $12,465

4110 Hydro, DSCV, Folding ROPS, R4 tires... $12,540
(4WD and mid-pto are standard on 4110)

You could save a $135.00 by not getting folding ROPS.

A 16 foot flatbed will weigh around 1600-1800 pounds empty. I can only guess, but my guess is that your tractor and all the gear weighs 4000 pounds.

My heavy 1/2 ton 4wd pick-up weighs 5000 pounds with me in it.

I would never consider pulling a load that weighs more than the truck unless that load had its own brakes.

I have a Massey Furgeson 1035. The belts break constantly. Several local dealers have tried several options. Pulley alignment has been checked by several dealers, alternator and water pump pulleys have been replaced along with the bearing from the idle pulley. The last dealer called the factory but we aren't hearing anything back from them. It runs fine for an hour at a time but if it's run any longer the belt breaks. I bought it in 1991 and the first belt went out in two years but I put few hours on it for the first two years. It's immaculate, looks and (otherwise) runs like new. Total hours 958, 6 or 8 belts in that time period. Anyone have any clues?

trbomax, the product you are looking for is called "Snake-Away". You should be able to get it at a good hardware store, gardening store, or pest control company.

Please help, I just bought a SA250 Lincoln welder just for the diesel engine for a power plant. The Welder part I was told does not work, But it has a CV/VV box on it and the previous owner spent $800.00 to fix it 2-months ago and stated it works fine. <br>

Ask your spouse which one you should go for, thats a sure fire way to get the machine you REALLY want, and it ensures you get to make more tractor purchases in the future.
