Hopefully Chief, Murf or other with more knowledge will chime in here.

I have an add on to go with it. I just got hooked up with the local Southern States to buy "Off Road Diesel". I thought the only diffecence was no road tax, but when I went to the pump it was labeled "High Sulfur, Off Road Diesel". Is it ok to run this in a modern, CUT, diesel engine?

The B7800 safetys require both PTO's off and no hydro pedal unless you are in the seat or it shuts down after a second or two. Mine doesn't require parking brake or being in neutral to dismount.<br>

There is a second seat switch that allows rear pto operation if the seat is flipped forward for log splitters... I don't know about the parking brake interlock in this mode or not but I would think its a good idea to secure the machine somehow while using the pto from a dismounted position. <br>

Personally, I've almost stopped using the parking brake due to problems with CRS. Instead I use the bucket as a parking brake. Kind of hard to drive off with it down and not notice ;) <br>

Update...

The jaw was only able to put a few 1/8" deep x 1" long dents in the 2x4. I dropped off the 2x4, the keys and a note to the dealer. I haven't heard the result yet, but the dealer offered to come check pressures and haul it back to the shop if needed. I had to ask them to hold off till after the weekend so I could hog the pasture first.

TomG - Thanks for the line on the book, I'll check a local dealer and Amazon.

I've heard and do the same as Beagle. After shutting down, I lower all hydraulics and then cycle the loader valve through all positions to be sure all pressure is off. The dealer and people here say a little leakage is normal. My 3pth was leaking down 3" in 15 minutes before the repair. I should know after tomorrow if that has been corrected.

Like I told the dealer, the bucket thing was a suprise. I can live with it if needed to get back the bite strength, but they want to check some pressure readings first. Apparently there is a relief valve in the bucket circuit that may need adjustment.

Thanks for the post. Funny the color comment had been sent to me from a friend that thinks green is not the choice too. We have a fun battle going on. Buckets at head to head at sundown. I learned the hard way of having a too small of a truck when pulling a large boat with a Ford Ranger and the gears fell out on the street. So now I have a v8 Dodge, I know wrong color.
(brand) But we work with what we have.
I think I am going to check out the elec. breaks and a strong gate to drive on. Why cut coners.

I ran into the identical scenario with my 50 hour maintenance on my BX22. I filled it to the level on the dipstick (just under 3.5 qts.). Not that long ago on this website someone else noted the same thing so I figured it was an oversite on Kubota's behalf.

Do you know if the ends are replacable, or would I need to order the whole shaft?

The Bush Hog has the ring type. The KK Tiller has the push button type. Much easier to work, but not used as often as the cutter.

I might add there is some room downward in the quoted price for the Kubota, but in any event it is a superior machine in my humble opinion!

Just ordered the Workshop manual for the Bx23 from Tractorsmart.com for $48. They didn't have it on their website util I emailed them and they said they could get it from Kubota. Don't know what the msrp is but at least I don't have to pay sales tax on it.

Thanks for the response Murf! I took the carb to a dealer service manager today and he said it was a heater but could not say why it's there. I'm going to put it back together and run it awhile to see if it is tied to a temperature switch and goes off after the motor is at operating temperature. The reason for my interest is after the motor gets hot it begins to run bad. The thermostat has been changed and the system filled to the manuals direction. IF the heater in the carb doesn't go off then maybe it's vapor locking. Anyway I should know tomorrow. Again thanks for your response.....bigfred

Just finished up 5, count em FIVE ears of that Iowa gold, still lickin the butter off my face like an old dog. Even after all that corn I think I could make room for a few of those ribs. AV8R I'll bet the Wisconsin corn has been contaminated by all the cheese that surrounds you. We finally surrendered in the battle of "The Farmer challenges the Raccoon Sweet corn Battle", so we buy it at a farmers market too. We drove from Decorah Ia. to Rochester, Minnesota today and saw lots of sweet corn stands along the road. but then too the Minnesota corn might be contaminated by Ludefisk. Enjoy those ribs and beans. Frank.

Murf, thanks for your intrest and input toward my next shop project. the pump I have on hand is rated 15 gpm at 2000 rpm. And after thinking a bit, a few years ago I mounted a 35 gpm pump on the belly of an M Farmall and drove it off the belt pulley hub with a double V belt drive I was starving the pump at full throttle with an inch and a quarter feed line to the pump from the tank, so by changing pulley sizes I slowed the pump down about 500 rpm and it's worked fine since. So I'll use a bigger feed line on the 4410. I'll mount the tank and valve system high on the 3pt. about the level of the weights on the bracket to keep access to the rear pto and regular drawbar. Likely the pump will have to be under the tractor being I never take the loader off. Grandma and I have a few Grandkids to visit yet before school starts up, so likely I won't get much shop time in for a couple weeks. However it turns out I'l post a picture of two. Frank.

Thanks Murf, I have had 2 weeks vacation a year or less for the last 7 years with logging an average of 600 hours overtime a year (being brought down only by the last 2 years otherwise it would be closer to 700. I know I deserve it but cant seem to stop smileing! LOL
Last time I was unemployed by layoff was in 1984 so I have been lucky, and in that year I met my wife so I wanted to impress her and took anouther job instead of sitting in a tree stand and enjoying it. (Now that was stupid)

runslikeadeere, You have me wondering what type of rear tires you have, being you mentioned the front tires being rib tires my guess is you have R1, (regular farm tractor tread desigh all around). If the rear tires don't leave an objectional tread mark in the lawn you could likely put R3 (turf type tires) on the front. You may have to switch rins and all for clearance reasons with out spending an awfull lot of money. Changing rears can get real pricey not only for the tires but it's unlikely that your curent rim will work out unless your wheel has an adjustable trad feature wher they could be moved out a notch or two for clearance. Back to your original question, If you replace the front tires with a wide flat type tread pattern you can likely add as many weights as the bracket will hold for a more secure feeling. hope this helps. Agreed. I have Power Beyond.... just an hydraulic tap.... no valves. There has to be a diverter valve someplace in your new set-up.

Wow, take a couple days off and this string really went!

When I said "super cheap fleet sales" for Ford this was not meant as a slam, but rather Ford takes great pride on selling volume numbers of vehicles to state, county, city, and "industrial" fleet customers at huge discounts. Not through regular dealer networks, but corperately. Which is good for them.

Been there, tried to bid against it, lost badly.
