I recently purchased a TZ24DA which now has 21 hours. It's an excellent mowing tractor, I got the 60" MMM and the HST. I do not have a FEL, so no help there. I did borrow a 5' box blade and played around with it in the garden. I didn't get the rippers. However, I was able to grade without a problem. The tractor handled the box blade very well, but I didn't load up the box blade to capacity and the soil was somewhat loose.

This tractor weighs only 1300 lbs and with the 60" mower you can add another 260 lbs. If your primary use is to mow this tractor is an excellent choice. If your primary use is to load and move material, I would suggest you look at the TC line, as these tractors are heavier and have more lifting capacity.

I've used power Service for years. Half rate in the summer and full rate starting in early fall. I use the Stabil in gasoline machines that don't get used real often and also follow my Dad's advice of shuting the fuel off at the tank so the carbrator will butn dry. seems to work fine. Frank.

Michael, sorry about your experience with the dealer, and congrats on the tractor. There is a lot of good input here, unfortunately most of it is too late for you. At this point, document everything, i.e. dates, times, discussions with whom, from where. Let the dealer know you are not satisfied with them. Don't beat around the bush with them, tell them outright, "I am not happy with your service" (someone in a position of authority). Stay calm, do not lose your temper and get into a shouting match with anyone from NH or the dealer. You are right, you spent alot of money and should atleast not have to worry about your straps when you drop your tractor off there. Call the State of Florida Consumer Services Division at (800) 435-7352 and find out what your options are at this point. Post the dealers name, and tell your story. Give credit where credit is due, good or bad. My new tractor had less than .5 hrs, no dents, no scratches, washed, a full tank of diesel and some Kubota hats in the seat when I picked it up. trezone, it is recommended by most manufacturers not to run synthethic oils until after the break-in period of the engine. Not that familiar with Yanmar Models to know if your tractor is new, but if it is a new machine, you probably shouldn't run synthetics until after the first, and some prefer second oil change (100hrs).

There is a small dealer a few miles from here selling all kinds of implemts & tractor / skid steer accesories. He's got pallet fork set up for $575.00. the forks are solid not hollow & this unit looks preety rugid. Is that a fair price? He also has a hollow fork unit. What do these generally run for in price?<br>

Thanks to all who responded. Yep, I am pretty sure there is nothing important in the owner's manual. Funny thing, I got a grader blade, had nine pages of instructions, in english. The most complicated gear other than the tractor and bucket was the tiller, and I defy anyone to figure out anything they tried to say or draw in the ten page manual. Pretty sure the person who wrote it was smoking something strange.

That situation of save thousands I already explained. And yes It is all about the dealer. That is why we are in the top 5 out of about 1500 in the country.

Brian, I have not gotten into any mud with the chains -- I took them off at the apparent end of serious snow (luckily I was right!) and just as mud season was starting. I decided that getting around in the soft ground was not worth tearing up the meadow I'd have to go through to get to my road, so I just did work around the house until it firmed up.

My driveway is steep enough and crowned properly so that mud is just not an issue. Even when the "main" road is totally impassable, my driveway is dry and firm. That sorta says Murf is on the right track -- better material may be your answer.

Unless someone else can chime in with mud/chain experience...

Oh, you asked about price. You didn't say what transmission it has and what year it is and how many hours it has. You can go to machinerylink dot com, register (it's free) and go to the used tractor price guide in the tools and resources section there. Sometimes the prices there seem a little high, and the FEL or any other implements aren't included, but it will get you in the ballpark.

Now that you ask what I'am planning on lifting, and I think about it. Your right, not that much. Brush, construction debris, small trees, small clearing jobs. So I think I'll be okay. As for breakout force, I'am not sure either, but mine was 1139 lbs less than yours. I wish I would have went with the LA723 vice the LA513. DR your right too. Now that I think about, it I know I have exceeded the 1345. Thanks for the input, and if you find out about breakout let me know.
