My manual says to take the blades off and weigh them when sharpening, etc, and make sure they weigh the same or the cutter can be seriously out of balance. But if it was OK before and suddenly started vibrating it almost has to be something else.

There are different models - I'd get the one with two bit holders that will do much larger drill bits.

I've had several drill sharpeners and the Drill Dr is the best.

I doubt if they were designed independantly . I'd say that the most likely reason is for clearance issues .
BTW You're a good man for saying you'd tone it down a bit .

As for the RFM.. mine will take all you can feed it up to about a foot high but I thought when you said "the wife likes it cut short" that you meant at all times, not just after cutting.

I have a XB Box blade because of a previous subcompact I had. I now use it on my 7800 and still like the way it works. It doesn't have some of the features that a high end model has, but it has sufficient weight to cut well. It is a lot better than the cat 0 box blade than KK offers.

I ended up paying just under 13,000 for a 7510, LA302 loader, loaded R4's, hooks on the bucket and a block heater. I found the same set-up for $12,700 from a different dealer, but really liked Salem Farm Supply where I ended up buying.

I have a total of 2 hours on it so far and really like it. I have a 48" brush hog -- worked great cutting waist high (and higher) grass and small shrubs. I went really slow as I was a little nervous about hitting things I couldn't see -- the machine could have gone much faster.

I'm hoping to put some hours on the tractor over the long weekend.

I have followed a few threads about refueling -- which is a huge concern for some. I used a 5 gallon can and a funnel and had no problem with the loader getting in the way.

I don't know anything about this product except that Honda no longer imports them to US. I am looking at buying one with a hoe and loader. Does anyone know anything about them and what they should go for used. It has 300 hours on it and is about 4 years old, looks almost new. They are asking 13K. Also, can you still purchase a scraper and post hole digger?

Actually, I just found out last night that it is going to last more than 22 years. Found out the clutch contacts are out of whack. (i.e. clutch don't re-engage after it warms-up. It needs a 10 minute cool down break before it works again.) Just enough time to have a beer with the neighbor. Then again, some times you have to shut-it-off often to get a 6 or 12 pack down with the neighbor.

I had an old 18 hp Ford with 42 mmm and 5 hp Briggs vacaumn on the back. It was a pain to use compared to the new BX2230 with 60mmm and Kubota rear bagger.
The old unit was always getting clogged up, plus you had to get off the tractor to start and stop the seperate unit.
The Kubota has only clogged once on me, I was cutting a full 60 inch with of very tall wet grass right after it stopped raining ( I know you are not suppose to do that, but that was the only time I had)
The Kubota is much easier to install check out AV8R's web site he has good instructions on installing it.
Buy the Kubota vacumn, you will not be sorry if you use it.
You do not have to mow 2 or 3 times a week in this wet weather when the grass grows overnight Once a week works fine with the bagger.

I've got a TC33D HST w/7308 FEL, ballast box, rake, front forks, 5' hog and a 7' RFM. My senerio here in Western PA on 32 acres is about like yours.

I am VERY happy with my machine and at 260 hrs. it has brought me nothing but smiles! This machine has done everything I've asked of it and more.

Do differently....with an annual snowfall here high atop the Laurel Highlands of just around 300 inches, I'm lookin' for a good snow blower to mount on her!

I was thinking that adding to the side walls would help beef it up. Dont it slide on the sides and arent they like wear plates? Was thinking a bit thicker than 1/4" would help wear qualitys? I see some have thicker sides 3/8- 1/2 and alot of them have only 1/4"?
Also I was planning to use just scarrifers to rip up and loosen the soil in a field I just killed off. I need to go down 4-5" and dont want to pull up any rocks from farther down by plowing. I had brassicas in this field last year and it grew back in more weeds than clover (since I did not controll the weeds last year before I planted) So I want to loosen up the soil so I can run my disk thru it to prepare for my fall plantings. Was wondering if hitting any larger rocks would damage the tractor? I can always buy a few extra scarifers.

If Agricat hs not modified the filters, there are cross over numbers to wix/napa and other available. I've got cross over numbers at the shop, will post them here or maybe someone who has them handy will add them here. May be able to do a search and find one of several old threads dealing with cross over filters

If you have the 30 series you are all set as we haven't installed one yet but that is what they were built for. They are much the same as the curtis but at a higher level of detail and options then the Curtis configuration. See your Kubota dealer or they may have pics up on the Kubota web site.
