I've got FEL,4'box blade and a 54"mid mower...
wanted a rear bagger but found it hard to spend
$1,400.00 just to pick up leaves in the fall!
But I do a lot of composting for our garden and flower
beds so I need to come up with something!

34 lb! What does GB makes those out of, balsa wood? This is the first time I have heard a complaint about any tractor equipment built TOO sturdy. LOL BTW, the 18" bucket weighs 108 lb for the 7.5 and 119 lb for the 10.5 hoe.

The vendor in MI uses UPS and they have been requested by same to remove teeth before shipping, if shipped naked. In a box, they might poke through.

As for the Woods hoes, the 7500 models do not use dual swing cylinders, while the Prairie Dog does. This puts the 2 machines in different leagues. Woods prices on the parts as well as the hoe are usually 50% higher. I do like the colors they offer, though......

Re the QA setup for your NH.... I am considering adapting my JD with the Bobcat style QA. Seems most of the current CUT manufacturers are offering their own style QA with their loaders. Obviously not compatible with all the Bobcat attachments out there. Where did you buy your
loader-side QA adapter?

BTW, I wonder why CUT owners don't mount backhoes on their
Bobcat-style QA-adapted loader. Easy on and off, no risk of frame damage, no need for subframe. Any ideas?

Selling private usually always yields more for you..
As for the 4100 price its not many hours and it includes good attachments specifically the blower being the most expensive!! No difference between a new unit (feature wise) so you dont lose out there in value...see what he says on your offer

when you go for the TZ ,,be SURE to pay the extra $150 for the automatic 4-WD,,it is a real value,,I drove one this past weekend,,WOW,,it sure beats the Kubota BX!

100% in agreement about the 2910 if possible. Rear hydraulics will be going on my 7800 when I can figure out how. If it was cost effective, position control would too. But I think that's a pipe dream. <br>

The 3pt accessories would also be nice, expecially the ratchet link. But can be worked around. <br>

My work around is a "Pat's Easy Change system" a poor mans I-Match. I think Northern has picked them up, but a google search is the easiest lookup

The 5 foot will do fine as long as you run it with care. It is a little big for it generally speaking but it should do you just fine. Like any mower you will have to make the best choice for your application. The tractor will not give you any problems though. They are really built tough and they have 90% of the parts in stock in NC. When they get there web site running you will be able to find a dealer close to you I am sure. Enjoy your tractor. Just make sure you do not break a part in the 10% range. lol

The book on my B7800 says 4' rotary cutter max, but I wanted one big enough to cover my wheel tracks. I bought a 5' Razorback. The cutters PTO Hp recommendation is 18-35 and weight was within tractor specs so I went for it.<br>

IMHO its a great pairing for cutting an already cleared pasture like I do and trying to work my way back to the old fencelines through light brush. If I let the grass get too high where its very thick, it starts to bog down a little, but then I just let off the hydrostatic a little and she picks right back up to speed. I can usually cruise in mid range, pedal full down at full throttle. Cutting about 6 acres in 3.5 hours (not counting the trimming). Add a set of hearing protectors with a radio and you're all set.<br>

Only complaint so far was getting hitched. Then I found a gimick called "Pat's Easy Change System" or a "Quick Hitch" from Northern Tool. A Google search will get you a hit if interested. Kind of like an I-Match but simpler and no impliment modifications required.<br>

Also, as someone here suggested in another post, use a chain in place of the top link if the field has a few hills. It really helped me.

The fact that the 15 series was well proven and prefected for year was important to me. (Cub International Harvester mfg by Mitsubshi) The 10 series was made by another company and I heard (true or not) the 10's are being discontinued. The 15 series also comes in a gear model. The recent addition of an available rear backhoe for the 15's was nice. It all depends on what you want to do and how much. The 2615 is probably bigger than I need for my 3 acres but the power, 3rd speed, and the width of the unit makes it nice and stable on our Pa. hills. The problem, I'm told by the Hardi dealer, is that the newer JD 5000 series tractors have the lateral arms of the 3-point hitch going wider, when they go higher. The result is that some narrower Cat-1 implements are having busted lynch pins when fully lifted and the related dropped implements, etc. Just wondering if others have dealt with this at all. The hole-to-hole distance on my Hardi sprayer is 29.0". But I'm having trouble getting the JD dealer to confirm whether or not the 5320 that I'm looking at has a wider spread at full height than 29.0". THAT'S the dilemna...

I was just helping a neighbor with a 24 hp Sears Garden tractor(I know this is a little outside the area of this board). The wires that power the electric clutch for the mower deck are torn off. It looks like the whole clutch is turning. I ran a jumper to the clutch. It seems to work fine. I am not sure why the entire clutch body wants to turn. I don't see where there is a spring or anything to keep it from turning. Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

As I think about reusing your trucks carry all with a receiver hitch on the tractor I realized that may not be the best way to go. It would mount higher than a 3-point design and may raise the center of gravity more than you'd want.

Thanks.. I know the JD dealer has the Worksaver post hole diggers. I think he quoted around $800. Seemed a bit steep to me.

Any suggestions on where I can find any of the brands you mentioned?

Oops ....my mistake...790 2WD and 4110 are Gear Transmission Driven PTO. The 790 4WD and 990 are Conntinuous Live PTO

I have Land Pride rear finish mower and it is a rear discharge and it works great. The nice thing with the rear discharge is grass can be 6 to 8 inches tall and when it is cut it does not clump up like a side discharge. But I agree that if I didn't care about looks I would get a bush hog which is cheaper.
