I am VERY close to purchasing a New Holland TZ18DA...but, I cannot find some of the specs I would like to know(even from the main website).
Some things I would like are: What is the "top" speed?
Forward AND reverse?
What is the weight of the tractor and also 54" mower weight?
Is the mower assembly a "no tools needed" hookup?
Anyone able to tell me a good cart(15-18cf)I can get for it to haul stuff?
Would be very appreciative for any answers here! Also anybody have a New Holland TZ18DA?
Opinions?
THANKS!

I recently purchased a NH TZ24DA. The owners manual will answer some of your questions. I would suggest you ask your dealer to let you look at one. It will give tractor weights, measurements, etc. I would suggest you consider the TZ24DA with more HP and you can go to a 60"mmm. This tractor has 18 pto HP.

We have sold many of these units. the top speed is about 8mph. there are no tools needed to remove the deck. Not sure of the weight but they are not that heavy. If I had to guess I would say under 2000 lbs. ....

Similar machines weigh between 1200 and 1400 pounds, stripped. FEL's can add 500 pounds and I am not sure what a MMM weighs but they are not light.

As Oneace has pointed out, everything out there with that size tires max's out at about 8 mph. ....

My deck is a 60" MMM (TZ24DA) and the weight is about 260lbs. Yesterday I mowed my 3 acre lot that had previously only been mowed with a bushhog. It took me about 3 hours in 8-12" grass. Tractor did a great job. I do have a couple of problems with the design. The first is there is no indication that the parking brake is set. The other is the front grille collects a lot of grass, as does the radiator grille. However, while mowing in tall grass with high humidity and an air temperature of 85 degrees the tractor did not get hot, temperature stayed well in the green. ....

Stevenc, I would agree 100%. The 4x4 has already come in handy a couple of times. I got hung in a groundhog hole and the 4X4 enabled me to get out without a tow. This tractor (TZ24) also has a rear differential lock, which is an excellent feature. I now have 12 hours on my tractor and feel its one of the better buys for the money. ....
