I just bought a Kubota L3130 HST 4WD w/LA513 quick attach bucket. I paid $14,400 for the tractor and $3,400 for the loader. I found some a little lower in cost, but it would have involved substanial driving time to pickup or substanial delivery cost. So I went with the local dealer.

The auger is typically held by 2 bolts. Typically there is a shear bolt in the pto yoke going into the gear box. Youu gotta pull the guard back to see it. I'm sure there are other methods but this seems the most prevelant.

A thought on the slipping, (cause I've done it) was the pto lever fully engaged? When I do post holes I try to cover both levers to control down speed and to disengage pto if needed. I do bump the pto lever from time to time and the auger does what Ann says and I go: DUH!

This noise did appear to be the clutch pilot bearing. Since they replaced the clutch I haven't heard a peep from it. You are aware of the three rubber plugs at the top of the manual tranny aren't you? They dry out and fall out and allow oil to leak out and dirt to get in. It's best to replace them with metal expansion plugs (freeze plugs).

Take your time on gettin it loaded My projects have backed up also, but in the future if you have time I would appreciate it. Looks like that may be a winter project for me anyway cause I am now looking into Sept. before I finish up my back log. My dad has beeb deathly ill and my wife and I have been spending almost every hour off of work, taking care of him and it looks like it will get worse before it gets better. Thanks alot for the offer!

Congrats!!!! Did you have the tires filled? That would add alot of wieght. Sounds to me like your new machine has the power!! As for getting used to the clutch, I remember driving my buddies ford mustang gt for the first time! I owned a PINTO at the time. You can make that comparison for power. Now all it needs is a cab! with a retractable roof.

I have a diesel tractor in northern Michigan that only gets started once a month in the winter. Starting an in-direct injection diesel in cold weather is not so much the issue. With properly treated fuel and glow plug heating, it starts easily. The issue is lubrication, as with any engine. Organic oil is too viscous at low temperatures to provide lubrication during cold starts. Block heaters keep the oil warm enough to lubricate all those vital parts at cold start and reduce engine wear. Of course, the engine will start easier with a warm block, but I would be more concerned about lubrication.

Either way, there are warm up times recommended in your operators manual for cold weather operation. Follow these even if you have a block heater. They are intended to give the hydraulic fluid enough time to warm and flow properly in the tractor. Your hydraulic fluid is essential for lubrication of the drive train and steering system. Also really recommend you stay with the Super UDT hydro fluid. It is much better for cold weather operation.

Block heaters are avalible at TSC for about $25 and don't have to be installed. They are magentic, and can also be thermostatically controlled.

Have fun with your new tractor. You'll love the diesel torque.

I did a lot of searching when replacing my last tractor, and of the "other" brands than the big 3, the Kioti's are the best engineered and manufacturer tractors I tested. The quality of the dealership is what put me into the Kubota. I was really disappointed with the Jinma line, and decided not to make the compromise.

It is always important to consider re-sale value when making a purchase of this size. The big three, and Kioti, are your best bet for holding re-sale value. The CK line from Kioti are REALLY nice tractors and are priced less than Orange, Green, and Blue.

In total your combined specifications exclude all models my reference reports for LONG tractors. If one of your specs is wrong (year built?) and assuming it is a 4WD (easy to check visually) at about 50 hp it is probably the following:

Joe, The 5320 will not have a heavy "clunk". The style of shut off solenoid is different on this pump. This one is bearly audible when it engages. Just curious, Did you change the fuel filter? Did you bleed the fuel system? You should bleed all the air out at the filter bleed screw, Then loosen the line at the injection pump coming from the filter. Pump the hand primer until you get no more air coming from line. Tighten that line and then loosen the fuel lines at the fuel injectors. Crank the engine until you seee fuel spurting from injector lines. then tighten those lines and the engine should fire. You may need to crank a few minutes before you see fuel at the injectors. Make sure you let the starter cool after every thirty seconds of cranking. If you get fuel at the injectors but it still wont start, you may have it installed out of time. If that happened, it might be time for a trip to your dealer. Good luck.

It is my understanding from questioning the same thing that this series of cub cadet has a over running coupler on the pto drive just as mj4ster suggested thus not to worry.

yes you are right about that,however 3 pt backhoes are ment for light to medium digging not aggresive digging.
if people dig agresivly with a 3 pt backhoe and it breaks
it's there fault not the backhoes fault.

You can get the MSRP pricing of the 4410 off of the Deere website by selecting the 4410 and then select "build your own". (if you have a fire wall of pop up blocker you need to turn it down to the lowest level for the pricing to work)

Now that the 4000 Twenty Series is coming out, Deere may not be so proud of the 4410 and come down on the price. Typically you will pay about $1,500 more for the 4410 as opposed to the 4310. At least in the past.

Normally the best you can expect to get discounted is between 10% - 15%, but under the right circumstances, it is not impossible to get 20% - 25% discount on the tractor and 15% to 20% off implements.

I can tell you that I am VERY satisfied with my 4410 and highly recommend it. I am not so sure I would run out and buy the new 4000 Twenty Series tractors just yet as they are pretty new and unproven. Although the new 4320 with a turbo charged 48 hp engine does sound sweet!

The above discussion on oils may well be the issue or have some degree of influence on the problem but I would think that if a hydro is creeping like that; perhaps either an adjustment to the linkages may be in order or there may be a problem with a directional proportioning valve.

BUT the savings on fuel and maintenance will make up for the difference in price over the long haul.
Plus the average Cummins engine runs 400,000 miles before overhaul, take care of it and it will run a really ong time. Spend the extra money now and you will be glad you did. It will tow much better than any gasser.

Hey Murf, don't Kubota trenchers require rear hydraulics. I thought I remember that you need a hydraulic top link for the trenchers. Thats why Kubota only lists them for tractors with rear hydraulic blocks. Like I said in my last reply, that doesn't necessarily mean you can't add rear hydraulics to other models. Help my memory along a little here.
