A local rental place will rent a 60" 3 pt mounted pulveriser for smoothing out the ground for lawn installation. This thing looks very heavy duty. My question is, can a B7500 tractor move it effectively? I know it can move it but will I be doing "wheelies" or spinning my tires? The tractor weighs 1400# and the pulveriser looks like a good 500# Thanks

Bob, if its a typical heavy-duty unit it weighs something more like 650# or more, and yes you can move it, but I would suggest that the second it bites into the ground your B7500 would come to a rather sudden stop. Even with LOTS of ballast I don't think you would get very far with that pulverizer behind you.

If all you want to do is 'smooth out' the ground a length of chain link fence pulled by a V of chain hooked to a steel pipe across the front edge will work fine. If it leaves too many lumps then put a pipe across the middle and another at the back.

Yes, I agree with Murf. My pulverizer is a 72" and weighs about 650 lbs. Second to last photo in my pictures. I have it hooked to a 27 HP CUT that weighs about 2200 lbs. plus loader. It has its hands full. ....

Please "No envy required"! Yes, I still have the plans for all of the manufactured components although the stock list is not complete. I used a flange mount style agriculture bearing. Some design changes need to be made to further perfect it.
1. It needs some heavy springs pushing down on the trailing arms to get more pressure on the roller. The roller is support at each end by a flange bearing.
2. The shaft going through it is 1 1/4 diameter. I'd go the 1 1/2 or 2" next time.

This design is fashioned after a Land Pride but with the expanded metal roller and slightly smaller "I" beam. You can pickup a Land Pride pretty cheap. The expanded roller is difficult to bend, only a few shops can do that kinda stuff.

I draw in AutoCad but may be able to convert a .dwg drawing and post it as a .bmp file. Give me a few days or a week. I'm real heavy into some hot projects now with near instant deliveries. Got to go make a living! ....

Take your time on gettin it loaded My projects have backed up also, but in the future if you have time I would appreciate it. Looks like that may be a winter project for me anyway cause I am now looking into Sept. before I finish up my back log. My dad has beeb deathly ill and my wife and I have been spending almost every hour off of work, taking care of him and it looks like it will get worse before it gets better. Thanks alot for the offer!
