Mark, I'm told that they make a device like those ulta-sonic rodent repellers but they give off a much lower frequency, probably sub-sonic, that is geared towards repelling snakes. Since snakes depend on hearing and vibration to detect prey they are kept well back.

I plan to work on it in small pieces at a time and eventually move there after building a home on the place. You may be right about the bigger tractor though, but I will try and see how this one does with the duty.

Yeah Murf, sad to say the boat is up for sale. The kids have so many different activities that they are just not very interested anymore. Mom has to take them to the various activities and that take her out of the boating equation too. Figured I would pay off the tractor with a sale of the boat. Maybe in the future we may have another.

You want part number 8000842 and maybe an elbow to turn it around so it can be read depending on where you have to connect it into the system.

When I was shopping for tractors, I was told that I couldn't have both on a 24.I didn't really want a mmm anyway because I have one on the LGT 165, but I dont like closeing doors either.Ultimately I ended up with a 35,but on the 24 fel and mmm was not doable.

German, usually when electric brakes don't work it is for a simple reason.

Probably the most common reason is wear. The electromagnet is embedded in a steel cup filled with friction material, when the power is aplied the magnet sticks to the drum and is dragged along, mechanically applying the brakes. When the magnet assembly wears down it eventually gets to the point where the coil gets shorted straight to the drum. This means the magnet loses its 'sticking' power.

Next is rust. Electric brakes develop very little application power compared to other types, like hydraulic. Disassemble, clean and reassemble usually fixes this problem.

Last is wiring. Broken or frayed wires, poor or no ground can all mean no brakes either. Make sure all grounds are solid and making good circuits.

As for testing, an ohm meter will tell you if the magnet is making a good circuit or not. A battery charger will definitely actuate the magnets. If you can jack the trailer up, apply the charger to the brake circuit and try spinning the wheels. Even if you cant jack it up, a charger on the circuit will create a deep hum that you can hear by leaning down next to a wheel.

It was the hydro. A local dealer fixed it for me, but it was big $$$, $800 for the pump alone. Works like a gem now.

My 2003 2500hd, 6 speed, gets 19-20 around town and anywhere from 20-22 on the highway. Has anyone modified their fuel fill spout to accept the larger fuel nozzle? This really bugs me I fuel our VW Golf TDI (48-52mpg) which does accept the larger nozzle.

Good morning all. I am new to this forum and also to the computer as evidenced by my previous post. Did not have my 11 year old grandson to instruct and proofread ie. kuboat. Now to the question of the tires, rear especially.The tires are Denman 13.6-16 R3. They seem overly large making this little Kubota look like a hotrod. Well sorta. Any help with tire question is appreciated. Thanks. jim

I had to improve the two track to my property to build my house last fall; $16,000 worth. The county spec's were grub, grade, and gravel; 28 ft wide cleared, with 12 inches sand and 6 inches gravel 12 ft wide. I had 2000 running ft. Grubbing was tearing out trees and stumps. That was half the cost. You will save a lot not doing that. A large backhoe would dig a few scoops around the stump and then push the tree over, using the weight of the tree to pull the stump loose. I followed him with a chain saw and cut the stump loose and he pushed it to the side. A dozer was then used to grade the road to a nice even flow, no dips and small hills taken down a bit. Where I live it was all sand, wow! Saved about $5000. The gravel was about $8000. including the dozer to spread it, which was the best way to go. He got a nice crown in the center to shed water. In a few water problem spots we plowed out a small catch basin next to the road. Our cars packed it down just fine. Four other neighbors on the road enjoyed the fix up. The first few months I graded it with my JD and box blade. Now its staying smooth and solid. A good road gravel will go a long way; some clay in it helps for packing. In front of the garage I used Dolomite. It packs like cement, but spread it thin, it doesn't go a long way. One more thing to consider; another attachment I treasure is my snowplow blade for my JD, since it's up to us to keep the road plowed in the Michigan winter!

I sharpened my OEM blades prior to mowing this spring and I am already getting brown tips and torn blades of grass when I mow. I checked the edges and they are just slightly less than sharp. They are still much sharper than they were when I purchased them, the edge was actually rounded when new. The second set I bought lasted quite a time before requiring sharpening, so I will be filing a new edge on them tomorrow. <br>

I have searched the web as well as checked with the local dealer for some hardened steel or Gator blades for this deck but can not seem to come up with anything. Has anyone here been able to find better blades for this mower?

Can anyone please tell me approx. what year this kubota L185 #L185-52513 was made. Also what size turf tires came on it originally ? I suspect that the tires that are on it are incorrect.

Did you get anything from Kubota on installing the vacumn unit. I have it down to under 15 minutes if I can get the top pin lined up without too much problem, but that is where I am having problems, both on and off. To get it off I drive the pin out, but not much room to get a hammer in there to work. To get it lined up to install the top pin, if i use both hands I can line everything up but when I try to let go and use one hand to install the pin things slip and I curse and start over. I hope Kubota has some ideas. Jim

The garage is not heated, I live in Northern Ohio, so it does get cold and the run off does freeze in cold winters.

Paulss,

I followed your approach with the long neck hose sprayer for trees. I was able to do up to two stories and used the ladder for the higher spots.

Worked great makes short work of this project, thanks for the tip it saved me alot of pain versus using a tank sprayer.

What I have is green moss on the north side it is not black mold.
