David, Yes, It is tax-deductable. A smart way to finance a large ticket item like a tractor. The loan must be secured by the Deed of Trust. Make your payments or your house is history. I'm not sure but the interest rate may be higher than what the tractor companys offer?? But you can at least right off Interest. So which way do you save money??

Looking for some price and hour feedback on a 1994 Kubota 2150 HST, 4WD, Turf, 776 hours, w/ loader and 60

Is the price reasonable?
Are these hours reasonable for a 5 year old tractor?
Is the 2150 a good tractor? I know that it has since been improved to be the 2710.
Is having only 1 pump at 7.4 GPM a major problem when operating the loader and power steering at the same time?
FYI...this will be used on 5.5 acres for cutting grass, landscaping, etc.

HWD,<br>I cannot disagree with you, and you are probably right. I haven't read the 4100 warranty statement myself. I am going strictly on statements from other readers who have run into this sorta thing with owning a 4100. I think my dealer made that statement as well, but I don't want to put words in his mouth either. At any rate, I stand corrected.<br>

My local dealer has Ford New Holland 1620 with 2000hrs on it. It has a Belly mower which comes with it (won't seperate it out) and a front end loader he wants $12,900 for it is this a good price ? Are there any known problems with this model to watch for when buying second hand? Thanks in advance for all your help.

I have a TC25D and it will spin all 3 as well in low range (hydrostatic). My problem is I need more weight. Plenty of power.

I bought a TC25D with loader and backhoe from Ritchie last February. I live out of state, so we did it all by phone and fax. I dealt with Keith Rose. I got a great price from them. I went with Ritchie because the local dealer was quoting list price. I saved $5000. It took quite a while for the transaction to take place. I had a bit of trouble arranging transport. I can't recommend the trucker I used because he did the old bait and switch on me. He changed his price when the truck arrived on site. <br>We also struggled on how to transfer funds. Mr. Ritchie insisted on cash, and I wasn't about to give it to him without some protection. I worked out an escrow deal with his bank. <br>Other than that, the deal went fine. The tractor was in fine shape, all serviced and ready to go. It has worked flawlessly since then.<br> Being out of state, I haven't had any other interaction with Ritchie Tractor.

I agree Norm,<br>BTY: my father has a trac-vac blower system, and that thing handles leaves/clogs very well. I plan to head this route as well.

Larry,<br>I completely understand your gripe, Unfortunately, JD is specifying for the use of EITHER 6 (JD)wheel weights 'OR' 75% liquid filled tires. PLUS the JD ballast box containing a minimum of X.XX lbs inside, potentially using one of the various materials mentioned. JD most likely DOES NOT approve of putting 100% of the required ballast in a 3pt mounted box, and therefore isn't going to give you the recipe to do otherwise. And for a good reason.. of which I had the unfortunate experience of learning first hand, the first day I owned my 4100. Wheel weights not only increase the rear weight ballasting, but much more importantly add stability to the tractor. A ballast box on the other hand can decrease your stability, if positioned improperly (too High). As I quickly found out one day. Doesn't mean your idea won't work.. JDs just not going to put it in writing. Also from another legal stantpoint, JD would be foolish to indicate the total ballasting/weight req's. A lawyer would be very quick to say

No different than a coffee cup stating "HOT" all over the cup....DUH, thats a new one!...But McDonalds can tell you, Stupidity pays off..In the Millions..

There is a JD955 in Charlotte, NC. It is a 1996 model with 170 hrs. The ad says it has a loader with an extra bucket, turf tires, and has been kept inside. The warranty is good until March of 2000, and they are asking $15,950.<br>The phone number is (704) 542-7344.<br>I live near Charlotte and a recently bought a JD755. I too have State Farm, in Michigan, my agent told me, fairly quickly, that my tractor was covered for theft or fire as long as it is on my property and being used to maintain my property. Any use resulting in profits would void this coverage. They faxed information to my credit union, where I got my loan, and they were satisfied, plus I have in writing, somewhere, that they stated that it is covered. I think the key to the insurance is that it is not business related and like an oversize lawnmower. I think most places hear tractor and think you are going to be farming or a contractor.

I have a friend that has a blower set up to run by hydraulic motor and is mounted on a Toro three wheel golf course mower with no problem, except the snow here is always wet and slushy. The mower puts out about 23HP and the blower is about five foot wide. I'm not sure about direction of rotation, but if the pump can be run either direction the you can drive it either direction, if not then drive it backwards. the torque against the shaft will be in the same direction and the pump will not know if it is driving or being driven.<br>After talking to my friend about this he said that it seems that pumps are always smaller(pressure,)and motors biger(volume). My guess is that you would need to figure out the RPM needed on the blower and then the RPM given on the rear PTO and by volume of pump and then volume of motor figure the volume ratio that matches the RPM difference ratio. Should be a correlation like this if pump to motor volume = 1:1 then rpm = 1:1, if pump to motor volume = 2:1 then RPM = 1:2, and if pump to motor volume = 1:2 then RPM = 2:1. So in the first case the pump to motor rpm is the same (PTO to Blower RPM) , the second it slows the motor to half and the third it doubles the blower speed. I will bet that if you talk to the right hydraulic guy he will half a day discussing this with you. Good luck and remember this advise is free and worth just as much.

I have a kubota L175 17HP 2WHEEL drive with a front mount 5'double 2 stage blower it runs it fine. Only problem is its a pain to take off so once its on it stays on for the winter.I also have a back blade that does just fine. Would be interested in selling the snowblower if your looking for one. I have a small driveway and don't really need it.Its a commercial grade blower and its in very good condition.

With those acres look at the JD790. I just finished a deal as follows:JD790,30hp dsl,R4 tires w weights,loader,brush hog for $15,000 <br>I don't have as big a deck (who cares) or hydo but I have used both and the 790 turns a sharp circle for my price.
