Craig, upon further thought; I would think that since this work is being done at the factory, they have the resources to complete this work and any cosmetics with new parts and OEM materials and as such, had the dealer not mentioned anything other than a delivery delay, you may not have noticed anything and be completely satisfied. There is nothing that I would think to stop them from having done this on other unsold units in the past. When you stop to think about it; I think it is the best possible scenario that Deere gets it right at the factory and NOT after being delivered. Hang in there and keep cool! ;o) (I know........that's easy enough for me to say.............I'm not the one waiting for my pride and joy to arrive not knowing exactly what has been done to it) Still insist that your deal FULLY explain to you EXACTLY what has been done to it.

That's the very reason I passed up the Kubota, NorTrack, and others. My New Holland TC35D has short throws on the direction pedals and I have spent as much as 12 hours a day working it.

Do any of the mfgs reccomend the chromate additive to the af to prevent cylinder cavitation? Ive wondered why I havent seen anything about that here.All the diesel truck engine mfgrs require its use.The 7.3 navistars really caught a bad rap re this in the 80's.Cummins and Detroit both want it used as well. Ive had two different Motorhomes with Cummins and a Detroit,and they are quit adimate [sp?] about it.The PSD must have it too.I put it in the NH out of habit.You must test for the level 2 times a year as it gets used up.

I have a BX22, and I am wanting to purchase a box blade. I have a 5' rear grader blade, that I still haven't used that I could exchange if needed. The questions I have are 1) Is a 5' box blade to big (425#) and 2) Would I be better off going with a 6' rear grader blade. I would be mostly using it light road and pasture work and snow removal.

I would have to ditto art. To by all the equiptment needed for 10acers os not very econamical. My suggjestion would be to get a tractor and belly mowwer and pay a farmer to come and cut and bale the hay.

for the nh tractor you have three options. First is the all in one unit which looks pretty ugly sells for about $200. Then there is the on nh recommends. It has a brain box which mount under the dash and a wired remote that can mount any where you want it you can use either head phones or out board speakers. It sell for around $350.
Then there is the canopy route. Nh canopies can come with an insert that you can install your own stereo and speakers, but that is about $500 for the canopy and the insert.

as a NH tech the l series ssl are one of the hardest units to work on. All in all that would be a job for your dealer. The space is tight and chain routing is even worse.

ok my suggestion is to get a single bottom plow the are pretty cheap and can normmaly find a good used one on any bodys lot. They will roll any large rocks you encounter to the surface. Gp over and scope the large rocks with your fel. Then use the box blade to smoth out the area. The next step would be to rent a power rake and go over the area to remove the smaller rock from the top 2" of soil in to a wind row. Then again use your fel to scope the rocks away.
