for those of yo that are worried about down presssure for 3pt phd i just foud out that bush hog makes a phd with an aux. hydraulic cyl. to create the needed pressure.<br>

Ken - i wasnt able to finish reading your pole because I only have the free listing on this site :( but what i can say is it was at the dealer several times before the "big" meeting with Mills. If your sinario was corret, would'nt they have corrected before the big meeting?

if you do not like the position of the soy stick you could always make a new one to better fit you. All you have to do is go to your hardware store and buy a piece of round stock the same diameter as yo stick cut and bend it to make it fit your preference the cut threads on both ends to match your current stick with a tap and die set. i have made quite a few moddified joy sticks for customers at work.<br>
Any way just a sugjestion, but remember the longer you make the stick the longer the throw will be.

yes that is a great deal snach it up. btw i work as a mechanic fo a nh dealer in pa. that tractor is priced very well, is there any visible damage ie. cracks in the fiber glass grill damage ect?

i'm the one who said about the mounting of the 14la. they way i look at it is the engineers didn't change the trans casting to that many hole cause the were board so i would say yes it will affect something somewhere some time or maby it won't but i would ckeck to see if your dealer will cover it under warrenty. i work at a nh dealer and we will not cover damage if that loader is mounted to a regular d tractor.

ok on a mmm when proporly adjusted the whells will not touch the ground until you hit uneven terrain, and most are supported to the tractor with springs which in turns allow the mower to move with less effort. murf you are right with how most rfm are set up but they do not float as well as mmm sorry for any confusion.

I didn't dig deeply enough at kubotaengine.com...

A link took me to a graph of hp and torque vs. rpm.

Hp increases essentially linearly between 1400 and 2800 rpm.

But torque is quite flat between those two rpm. It's highest at about 1800 rpm, but by only a wee bit.

2300 rpm still seems about right for heavy work, but lower rpms should be fine much of the time. --Mike

Is there any difference from an automotive thermastat and a so called tractor thermastat ?????????????<br>
My D2650FD was running hot. I discovered the radiator was pluged and it did not have a thermastat.I want to put one in but i do not know the type or temp setting...................HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a big fan of JB Weld, but...
it worked great on my latest Farmall tractor gas tank. Drained the tank, cleaned up the surface of grease and rust, applied and let it set a day or so, then ground it smooth with a flap disc on an angle grinder, primed and painted. Started as a temporary fix, but unless it vibrates loose this summer, it will probably stay the way it is.

I believe Agracat, Farmpro, Jinma, Nortrac, and others are the same tractor with different importer/distributor names on them. If Agracat isn't around, the manufacturer of the tractor is. Agracat is a distrubution name. Norhtern is still selling the Nortrac tractor.

Engine Idle unsteady (1500 rpm and low). Finally died. Been some time since I had replaced fuel filters. Replaced filters bled system. Started engine, had to use starting fluid. Engine Idled for about 5 minuets, then started idling 1500 rpm and low until it died. It only would run if assisted with starting fluid.<br>

Height and ease of hook up have made these very popular. Like I said, I use one too. But the consequences exist, and should be communicated. I saw the results first hand, and it was awfull.

The best that could happen is have the manufacturers offer a solution based on the tractor. I know Kubota says only from the drawbar, I would suspect the rest are the same. It would be great if they came up with a solution that is engineered to be compatable with the equipment.

The plate is replaced by the threaded adaptor that the block heater threads into. Maybe I am not following what you mean. MowHoward has a 2210 and has installed the block heater I believe. He could give you first hand feed back.

Just to close this out - I spoke to a JD advisor at the 800 number. They said my dealer is correct. The 47 BH manual was written for general 4000 series tractors. The rockshaft on 4010 series tractors will not lift the BH high enough to install the LPin without a workaround. She said contact your dealer for suggested solutions. I brought up the bushing idea that Ken suggested in separate thread - she said she had heard of that and there might be other solutions that the dealers have (like using the outriggers to boost the hoe up, etc).

Unfortunately pin diameter, space between mounts, etc., will vary between manufacturers.

There was a movement a few years back to try to standardize mounts, sort of like with Category 1, 2 & 3 3pth equipment is.

The big problem was that none of the manufacurers wanted to make their existing or past equipment obsolete. That kind of equipment is in service for MANY years and the phase out of 'non-standard' equipment would be a VERY long and expensive proposition.

The other problem is one of simple design factors. The length anmd diameter of cylinder that moves a bucket for instance dictates how far the two pins need to be apart to make sufficient torque and rotation for digging, and the capacity of the machine dictates how strong they need to be, that in turn requires certain minimum sizes of pins.
