I agree. I looked at both and would compare the Kubota B series to the JD 41xx series. The JD 42xx series is a different size tractor. I have the 7800 and really like it. The power to weight ratio is really comfortable. I have loaded rear tires and have no problems with traction at all. The lighter weight is nice for working and mowing the lawn, and especially for transportation.

What you are looking for may be a dirt scoop. They come in 30" and 36" widths. The one I have can be hooked up to the 3pt hitch to pick up dirt in a forward or backward direction with gravity dump just by pulling a rope while in the seat. In some ways can be faster than a FEL. Say that you are cutting down a high point on your property and spreading the dirt to another location. You can do this driving in a loop, scooping up dirt on the high point and dumping on the fly in the low point and circling back for another load. You will have to come back with a rear blade or box scraper to smooth out the dumped dirt.

I am going thru this right now with my father. A former narcatics detective. just went thru 2 surgerys and he is a handful to take care of to say the least. Pulled out his cath. twice and after 2 trips to the ER to put back in we got him admitted back in the Hospt. for a few days. The day he was to be released he was seeing spots. Back to surgery to put anouther artery to the brain. He surivived all this but here is what is keeping him from coming back home for us to take care of. The Hosp. let his bladder get extended after the first surg. he was on a flow max for urinating easier. Cant go back on it for his blood pres. needs to stay up to keep new artery straight and flowing.. When we take hi home his MEDS get out of controll (HIS CONTROLL) we finally got the doctor to listen to us.After going thru his meds we find he is addicted to Xanax and percacette. I always knew he was using too much but not to this extent. 4 different doctors and all are precribing the limits We admitted him to a rehab/nursing home and got him to admit his addiction.. He is a basket case! For the last 3 weeks it has been a living hell for me and my wife, taking care of his needs and home while working with all other profesionals to help him out. My wife is an RN at the local hospt. so that helps. On top of this his smoking has attributed to alot of the problems of being confined. Well anyway, this last week we have seen great improvement, he is shaking hardly at all anymore and is totally in controll more than not along with thinking clearly again. Xanax is a drug that feeds on its self, look it up, if you or you know anyone that is on it get help!!! Read up on it!!! You will be suprised at how often it is prescribed and how horribly it feeds on its self. I could go on and on but heed my warnings, watch your parents along with all others who are seeking help for anxiety. What my wife and I are going thru is unexpected and truly a living hell. My dad is at fault too, but the profesionals are way to quick to prescribe a med and send them out the door.

As for national health care? Nothing is FREE!!!!!!!!!
I tell my kids all the time, go to school, go to work save as much for your future as you save for your future health care needs. Dont depend on the country to pay for your health care needs. Its not easy at a young age to think like that.
I have been without health ins. twice in my life, thankfully I had saved enough of my income in a special; account just for that purpose. Although I now have Ins. I still put away $150. a month and so does my wife. Some day I will not have what I do and I dont want to ask my neighbor to pay for and of my meds I may need, although it may happen.
I pray for the people who have not, and dont feel a damm thing for the ones who HAD at one time and did not save for when they may NOT HAVE, no excuses here, way too many out there spend like there is no tomarroo and when tomarroo finally comes and they dont have the cash anymore dont come knockin on my door!

Somebody here said that the 14LA will mount on a tc29d with just a leftover mounting hole. Does anybody know if that would be a problem? I know the front axle is beefier on the 29da, so the load capacity on the 29d would be a concern, but other than that???

i have a new 4310 with less than 15 hours on it,and i notice
during the first few hours of use it would do the same thing
as ncrunch32.(it's a e/hydro model also). it may have done
it 5 or 6 times but only in the forward mode.i would engage the forward pedal repeatly and nothing would happen or no
forward motion, but i could engage the reverse pedal and go
backwards a bit than engage forward again all seem to work
normal. i do remember that when all this was happening
i had the rpm's just below 1500 with no load.

the 14 la will fit the old tc29d you will have an empty hole in the loader mountin bracket but the new da do have a stonger front axle so your lifting ablity would be limited.
off the sublect the new desingn of the da was based around loader work the staced head lights are for better light when the loader is raised. and the look will grow on you.
the tc 29 are going to change to the da as soon as stock runs out. The tc24 are alreadey switch to the da any d's on a dealers lot are all that there is most already have da's

When I went to get my Kioti LK3054 with loader, Midwest box blade, 56" tiller, and a 6' finish mower 760 miles with a 93 Chevy 1/2 ton with a 5 speed manual transmission and 350 motor. I used a 16' 7000# trailer. Needless to say it was at maximum and beyond. I took it real easy and did not push the truck. I would say one thing is get a premium brake controller. Mine has a digital display indicating its setting. Very nice. Stopping the whole mess was my biggest concern.

I was in the same boat a while back. I have 3 acres with the same type of work that you need done. In my opinion, todays "garden tractors" are not up to tilling unless you spend around $5K. Tilling is tough on a tractor-I own a 1972 Bolens large frame garden tractor, a true beast, and it barely operated the tiller. it's not so much horsepower as it is frame size, structural rigidity and tractor weight. For around $6K you can easily find a nice older Kubota B series tractor with 60" mmm. Then add a tiller for about $1k and you have a work ready rig that will run rings around a "garden tractor". I looked at the Cub 3000 series, and while they are nice, you have to spend $5K to get a heavy one. For that money, go with a used Kubota and get 4WD, and a heavier machine with enough teeth to get your work done.

We're jumpin' in at this time, as we 've been tractor shopping the last couple of days. We're in the process of relocating to the peach state(soon?)& will have an opportunity to have 8 - 10 acres to mow (pasture) as well as moving horse manure (where?), and dragging the riding ring. We stopped at the tractor dealers locally, & came away thinking we will need approximately a 25 HP tractor. The models were (K) - 7510 & (CC) 7254. We thought about them overnight & decided that we actually need a 30 HP model - 7800 (K) or 7530 (CC). Any & all opinions will be most welcome.<br>

Where can I get a factory loader, most of the web sites I visited dont show it as an option for that tractor. And if I build one I need to know the working pressure of the hydrolics and the valve bypass pressure, Im not sure were to get this info at.

Well this is a tough call. I have only one neighbor and she is accrossed the highway, since my pine tree plantings are next to the highway and her house is accrossed from that I can gaurentee you the wind will not be blowing toward my trees! LOL. I build things all day everyday but it just isnt the same when your not gettin paid. Since I work alot of 6 day weeks (most all the time) I am ashamed to say that when I get home and have some time off, I like to work on the habitat and would rather buy a product working at my job to pay for it than to take a weekend day off and build something. (I hope this dont make me sound like I have nothing better to do with my money, just the older I get the more I would rather do something I know I am good at than the other way around)
Getting back to the subject, any idea how spendy those roller pumps or 3-point pumps are? Just priced out a 60 gal. tank and boom/w 3-pt carrying frame at just over $450 without the pump!!! Ouch! startin to think my 15 gal. tow behind wont be that bad to keep filling with roundup for the 1/2 dozen times a year I may use it?
The 3pt would be nice for trails and some of the rough fields (all though after I RU. them and till em they will always be flat there after. Its a tough call, with all the info you guys just gave me to think about, I will atleast be able to make a better sound decision. Thanks again.

I think you are going to really like that FT80! We had a FT70 here that we just sold and I think it is a terrific value, the 80 is that and then some more!

Your dealer may have told you, that 12x12 shuttle is the same one that is a $2500 option on a certain green tractor!

Well.

I had hoped when I got the new tractor that I could straddle that ditchline and mow over it with my 3 point hitch finish mower.

I got the tractor home and immediately took a spin around the yard. When I got to the ditch, I tried out my idea. It looked relatively dry (this was in October) and after I had gone 100' or so, I thought that instead of backing up all of that way, I would just cut across.

It didn't work.

Luckily, my wife was standing by with the camera, and a neighbor had his old Ferguson handy to pull me out.

It had been home for about 10 minutes.

ScooterMagee, I have seen the breakdown of the Break-in oil and it's all gobble-dee-gook to me. The bottom line, according to JD corporate and my dealer's tech, is that it is a lighter oil without any detergents or additives that are normally added to the "high-end" oils--just like Denno said. This allows for PROPER wear during seating of the rings, etc. Per my dealer, and after verifying this throught JD, I changed my break-in oil at 25 hours and replaced it with fresh break-in oil. I ran that to 50 hours and then began running JD 15w-40 (on both my 2210 and now my 4110). I will probably change it again at 75 hours then move to a synthetic at 100 hours. All of the folks "in the know" I have talked to think it is a good plan, but probably not even necessary. I go a little over the top on my service for peace of mind. When in doubt, do what the manual says: change factory oil at 50 hours to 15w-40 for most applications. The factory oil is most definately break-in oil.

Ken, thanks about the bushing idea. That will probably fix my problem. On the other point - my dealer did move the seat bracket to the outside when I took it in for other work. That has made a difference inc onnecting/disconnecting the hose.
