I had same exact problem and also bought power steering pump from Danish CO. $700 just for part and it did not fix problem. Finally someone said to have dealer repack or chane some kind of bushings, I think in the steering column itsself. I dont think it was in the wheels. I cant find the paperwork on it I checked. But mention that to your dealer. Thats what I did and I got the info off a board like this one. After $2000 and alot of aggravation it finally fixed it. I wish i could remember exactly what is was but it was something like what i mentioned. Good Luck I know what your going Through

Dave, I'm very impressed with the Wallenstein BX60. My neighbor just bought one a few weeks ago. Have played with it/I mean worked with it a few times and it works very well. I was supprised at how well it feeds manually. The design of the feed shute allows for material to just gravity feed. My neighbor is running it with a JD 4200 and is chipping 4" plus with no problem. The chipper is very heavy and well built. I've had a PATU 6.5 HF and now have a stand alone Wayne 16" drum chipper. If I was going to buy another pto chipper it would be the Wallenstein.

It has started, we are now getting back denials on steel request for quotes (RFQ's). Some sizes can not be bought for love or money as of today. The size we use for the C-NH Super-steer frame rails will not be available to quote untill August!<br>

You may want to scrap the idea of planting this spring and prepair your field this summer fall. Maybe till up your field this spring do a soil sample and start bringing the soil up to where it should be also if you want to feed some deer for the year plant a brassica. Then in Late Aug. or early Sept. disk it in and fertilize again and add what ever else you may need for your trees. Plant a winter wheat for the fall hunt. That should leave you with a nice flat well prepaired field for next spring tree planting. I am not a tree farmer but have planted thousands of trees, IMHO you should prepair your fields or dont waiste your time with the trees. You will be glad you waited a year so you can be ready next year to do it right.

The nut on my model ac-105 cutter blade will not budge.<br>
I am using a 1-5/8" impact socket with a 24" bar. Last nite<br>
poured some old motor oil on the nut.<br>
Can I heat the nut(NOT the stud)? Or use a loooong cheater<br>
bar to break it.<br>

I may be the most confused here, but think about this analogy. Take a 55 gal drum and put enough water in it to fill it to about one third. Now lay the drum down and roll it 30 or 40 feet. Doesn't require a tremendous amount of effort. Next, pick up the drum and carry it the same distance. I believe carrying it requires a great deal more effort because you are loaded with 100% of the weight all the time (like hauling around a ballast box). This may be a poor analogy, and may not be a good comparison. Don't know for sure, but was just trying to help. Any way, good luck to all.

I cut grass for a living, you would be better off buying your self a eXmark 48" metro for $2700 to cut the grass with. Then get yourself the B7510. Look at my pic. I have a B7500 with a 51" 3pt snow blower. I plow 35 driveways with it to make money during the winter. Also the snowplow you see i am mounting to the loader arms like a curtis snow plow. I have a MMM on mine, but thats because i bought it used. I use the tractor strictly for dirt work. The only reason i still have it because my parents are going to get this tractor when i move out. I got another one coming this year a L2600 from another neighor (hopefully). The mower deck rides on the ground. Which is good, less weight on tractor tires=less ground damage. Does less scalping since its riding on the ground. The suspended mowers wheels just try to prevent this. The tractor want to go one way, the ground the other so the deck contacts the ground. So the kubota drag type is better since it truly floats on the ground. Just to let you know if you really want a MMM.

Is it hydro or gear? Is it original owner with records? How about tires, ag. or turf? These things and many more enter into the equation. The hours are really low for that model. If the meter is accurate, I would assume the tractor to be a cream puff assuming good care. Remember, tilling hours are harder on a tractor than mowing hours, so thats something to think about. A rear 3pt tiller can run between $900 and $1800 new, depending on brand name,width,slip clutch or shear pin. The older X200 Kubotas in that HP range sell between $4k and $7k depending on accessories and features. I will go out on a limb and say if it's excellent condition as hours should indicate, that machine will sell for between $7K and $9K depending on features. Some guys on this board will also tell you that geography plays into the equation. But I'll stick to that range of prices, knowing what I know from your brief description. I'm sure others will give their 2 cents.<br>

My read on the problem was that the lines are disconnected and can't be reconnected. If that's true then operating the valves won't do anything for pressure in the disconnected lines but should head off future problems. Yes, lifting the bucket can relieve line pressure but it's good to get one connected first because lifting can relieve pressure on one line but pressurize the other. I forgot to mention the safety stuff and it's always good to get a reminder. Usually it's just messy but it can be dangerous at higher pressures.

Hey everyone, I am trying to make up my mind on which tractor to buy. Here is what I've noticed between the two. The JD has a Kohler engine, I don't know much about the Kohler or if its better than the B&S. <br>

My initial observation is the JD costs more and is more cheaply made. The steering wheel is hard platic. The seat isn't as nice. When you flip the seat up the CC seems to have a more solid structure. The wheels are attached on the JD with a washer and lock pin only...that seems to me to be crap! When you flip up the engine cover the JD cracks and creaks. The CC has four deck wheels, as opposed to the two for the JD. <br>

I can go on, but I can get a 46" cut CC for the same price as a 42" JD, not to mention the 3 blades vs 2. <br>

But most of that is cosmetic I suppose. When it gets down to the meat of it, will the JD last longer? Does it cut better than the CC?<br>

I am leaning CC, as it seems more solid, even though its now MTD, correct? <br>

Well any tips would help, as I am going to buy one of the two on friday. If I get the CC, I will join this bb, hope Im welcome. Is this board for smaller tractors like the one Im looking at?<br>

I have the option of buying one of 2 disks. I am planning on buying a Kingkutter box disk 6 1/2 foot wide. Should I go with the notched blades on all of the disk, or should I buy the disk with the notched blades only on half and smooth on the rest. For the most part I will need as aggressive a disk as possible since I dont plan to till very often and much of the time I will be "disking in" last years crop residue and sometimes disking in "green" crop. Any advantages or disadvantages between the 2?

bobggg, you say you got a 4110 within 700 bucks of a 7500? What did the cost turn out to be. I would jump to the 4110 if the price was even close but the quotes I am getting for tractor fel, mmm are 14100 for 7510, 14900 for 7610 and 16500 for a 4110. Just curious.

I have been offered a 42 inch reverse cut tiller made by Kobota. Only one year old but used on a large farm, asking price $1700. Does this sound like a good deal to you guys?<br>

bigpete, thanks for the info it is very helpful. i need to put down the fertilizer this weekend so i will try out the spreader. by the way i used the tractor last nite for about an hour cutting out the side of a small slope,we had some fun i felt like i was operating a bulldozer in an hour i moved about 6 yrds of hill. my look out of the window and just shook her head:) keep in touch roboha

I found some information on another site that says the Long 900 is a rebadged Zetor 8011. Do a google search on Zetor 8011 and you will find manuals for sale on the web although the english versions all appear to be in the UK or Australia. Maybe a Zetor dealer can help you if you have one close by.
