I think it is a great idea to remove the larger rocks first, however, they are mostly buried so I don't know where they are until I hit them. When I do find one I will probably just use a SHOVEL (thought I was buying a tractor so I could throw all my shovels away) and dig it out. It sounds like the 7510 and box blade will do what I need, though it may take some time. I think I'm going to get a quote on a 7610 and maybe even a 7800 just to see if I can stretch our budget and get a tractor that may be a little more suitable for my needs. Thanks for the input.

went that route,, but with no luck,, called them,,but they could not help me with any information on the old 900 models,, sure would like to get a manual or a copy of one if any one has one,, but for now,, need to know the easiest way to spin or what ever I have to do to bring in the back wheels on the 900 ,, model 1540,, thanks

The loaders are on the light side, but with proper care and proper placement of lifting hooks, you would find that it can do most anything you need to do. Whether you buy green, orange, or blue, the same common sense is necessary to get a happy long life from a tractor. I move some large logs and stones around the property with my 7800, the bucket is light duty for sure. With proper rigging, you will limit the lift capacity of the loader without bending the bucket. These are nice machines.

On my BX 1800 I cut grass at 2800-3000 rpms which is about 3/4 throttle.I engage the pto at idle just like I do on my big tractor.It is enough of a shock at idle. I don't want to engage it at higher rpm.

Like you I also wired the house my self and had a electricial inspect. I asked the questions as there are a number of ways of doing it.<br>
I have one barn off a 100 amp breaker in the house. I put in a large 300 amp service and then break off a separate 100 amp leg to another box in the barn. If you are not running a heat pump or some thing this is plenty of energy.<br>
The new meter base I put in on the house has lugs for an additional leg out of it , after the meter. I am sure you could just change the meter base.<br>
I also have another barn on a separate 200 amp service, but have a hot water heater, pool pump and spa on that service.

If you look at Bill Mullens's posts several years back you'll find a link to a company that sells CAD plans. Bill and others have built their backhoes with good results and I imagine the same company has loader plans.

I've heard that batteries may not come up to full charge unless they're changed for 24 hours at a trickle rate after higher rate charging. Could be that the minimum charge rates would even out if the packs were trickle charged.

Manufacturing differences could result in varying maximum internal resistance but I wouldn't know how much variation to expect. The different minimum charge rates may affect the amp-hour rating rather than the initial voltage/current delivered. If so then one battery with lower capacity in a series connection would reduce the time a backup pack would support the system rather than the voltage/current delivered initially. It's all speculation on my part. Somebody who knows batteries may have something more definite to say.

Always real good to bring specific experience to bear on a problem and it's good there's so much varied experience here to draw on.

It sounds like push rods as an explanation should be checked but it's not a strong candidate. Yes, the hydraulics is a good candidate and should be checked for sure.

The only thing I'd say is that I managed the same condition some years back when I bumped the 3ph into lift while the hitch was locked down for a 3ph hoe. The engine laboured under full throttle and made gray rather than black smoke. I wouldn't describe it as missing or knocking either but maybe my Ford engine behaves differently. I'd expect the system relief valve to save the pump--at least with my Ford setup. However, all bets are off if the relief valve is in the loader valve and the check valve is ahead of it.

I've had our JD CUT's in for service several times and just never ask about a dyno check, so that's a good question. The same dealer services our JD farm tractors and I know that a dyno check is a regular part of the winter checkup. I've never noticed a dyno check on our 4000 series on the winter checkup list. Next time I'm in I'll ask just for curiosity. I noticed you have a "Super M" and a "Cub". I also have some Farmalls around. I grew up driving letter series and still like them I've got five in parade ready never come out of the shed condition, three or four we still use, and quite a few rust buckets in reserve. We still use a Super M, Super H, regular M, and a 656 that I bought new in 1965 or a regular basis. They just don't seem to ever wear out. Enjoy the day, Frank.

My problem is one of identifying thye machine's exact model number (the plate has long since gone - the previous owner is no help). <br>

I'm a long way from anywhere (in the south-east corner of Australia) and am about to start building a stone and log house.<br>

I have a JD 790 '03 model so it has the smaller engine. Use a 60" box blade with industrial tires with good results, at deer camp on clay ground to rpr a road was able to get the box 90% full and still had power and traction, with a box blade you will need to get it leveled up and set it for the best cut angle-front to back tilt- for particular soil type, as for rocks and sticks don't have one but have heard that rakes are best but have used box blade for same

The Cub 7254 has a Kawasaki 25 hp gas. I do not think the 7254 is what you are referring to. By the way, I checked out the new 5000 series Cubs- also with the 25 hp gas-not a bad machine but I like the larger size of the 7000 series for those 2 foot snow falls.
