I can not speak from actual hands on experience but my understanding is that the 420 FEL is spec'd for the 4200/4210 and the 430 FEL will not fit. You may be able to make modifications to it to make it fit but run the risk of over loading the frame/front axle on your 4200 should you use the full capacity of the 430 FEL. You best bet would be to go to a dealer and see if you can compare the two FEL's side by side mounted on their respective machines and make notes of similarities and differences.

One of my main jobs for the box blade would be to start loosening up the sod and soil in the top 7" or so give/take a few. Like I said before plowing is not in my near future since most of my planting would be for wildlife and not crop production the fields dont need to be perfect. Just by the looks of a bb it seems like it would be ideal for what Plots1 said he uses it for. I guess I dont know the functions of back plate. It sounds like if it is FIXED it would tend to keep the scrap and junk in the box area longer vs a hinged plat(the later sounds like it would let the junk flow out) Am I seeing this correct? Please correct me if not. That leads me back to the 1/4" side plate vs 1/2". I know 1/4" steel plate is pretty darn tough but at the same time, it's not 1/2"? Does the side plates take a beating or are they more for adding weight? A guy could always re inforce the sides with anouther plate of 1/4" for next to nothing (since I have plenty access to 1/4" diamond plate for no cost to me.
Sorry if I seem like I am beating a dead deer in the road (infront of my truck) LOL. I am really at wits end here, I am spending way more than I want although everytime I upgrade I know it is for the rest of my life and probably well worth it. I would wait awhile to buy the best if I could but I need to get my farming impliments in a ground engageing mode soon. Thanks

Like most questions, i guess the answer is that it depends. Am I in 2 wheel or 4 wheel. Is my bucket loaded or not. How thick are the trees. Do I have a 3 pt implement attached or not. etc. To get back to the question, I thought the turning radius was good, I felt stable but I don't have experience with a comparable CUT. The company brochure says the min. turning radius is 7.5' Does that help?

I also have been using gator blades for a few years,when
I sharpen my blades I also sharpen the 3 little wings on the end of each blade.I use a die grinder with a cut off
on it to sharpen the wings...oh don't forget the saftey
glasses.

I bought a 6'King Cutter box scraper from Theisen's farm
store for less than $400. It works great,has
replaceable cutters.I have snagged it on stumps,concrete and have not hurt it yet.I also have tilt&top and wouldn't

I just went through this decision process and concluded, based on input from the folks here, that a bucket in the 12-13" range is ideal for general purpose work. This thread may interest you.

Definately over the recommended limit. If the truck is not designed to tow that much you run the risk of twisting a drive shaft etc.

My tc33d had the same problem. I fixed it by tapping the upper shock connecting pin with a hammer to unstick the little pin that releases and holds the shock. I had also sprayed it a week before with WD40,don't know how much that helped though.

You know Ken, I would guess you might be right. Its probably something simple. I wonder if, when I was brush hogging, I caught a stick and something pulled apart. I was under the tractor to service it this winter. I didn't see anything obvious then. But I will take a look again tomorrow.

I can tell you first hand that the 3-point on the sub-compacts will be limiting. I went through a very expensive ordeal unloading a sub-compact for my 7800 because I just could do much with the 3ph. Implements are special order and some things just won't work because of the limited lift height. It's the short lift height more than the lift capacity that will limit what you can do with the tractor. Go with the compact, 7510 orange would be a good choice.
