I know most 4x4 trucks need to wait five seconds, put in netural, turn the steering a little bit each way and the drive off. Or at least that the way my fire house wants us to do when driving the 4x4 utilies. Try turning the steering wheel a little bit. Which turns the drive shaft. So any friction holding the driveshaft will stop. So its not in 4x4. I usally run in 4x4 when doing anywork. When driving around in 2x4 to reduce wear.

You are right as to the tree's! To dig up an Elm is as bad as trying to split it with a Go-devil, there is nothing easy with Elm. I would not say that your BX might not be all it could be, and I do often recommend a big tool for a weekend and save the fine work for the compacts. The BX's do require near full throttle operation for the hoe to work well.

Have you ever seen that macolm in the middle show on fox. They rented a chipper and started throwing stuff in. Lunch box, stuffed bear, toys, etc.

Me-tellphone book. That made a mess.

Have heard some stories. This one mexican threw a sunk into one and made the whole neigherhood smell. One guy had a employee try to kick something in and the chipper got his foot. On a whole tree chipper, a cable skidder didn't unhook one of the trees and the tree dragged the cable in. Which wrapped around the drum and dragged the skidder backwards and then stalled the engine on the chipper. Also a craweler loader with forks shovel a tree in a chipper and got the forks chopped up, the disk break and the transmission all screwed up. Just ask any landclearing company they will have some sort of story.

Yep, look in your Operator's Manual. It's on page 102 in my manual but I have a 4610.

About the extended warranty. I asked my dealer about it and he said I wouldn't need it. I hope he's right.

I got a used sovema for $166. They guy had left it out side for at least 10 years. But it works. He claimed he tilled 3 acres with it. I think he never used it since the paint was still on the cutting edge. Look at the tines thats the best way to tell the amount of use it has had. That landpride reverse tiller is the best you can get. I am going to get one when i get a bigger tractor.

I hope you haven't taken the blades off yet. I have done this before on a friend tiller. Take one off at a time and replace it. So you put them all the right way.

You could do a lot worse than Landpride, they make excellent products. I have a York, which was for years the industry standard - I swear by it, not at it. If you are a legal business, licensed and all that good stuff, you should be well aware that the purchase price of the best rake can be written off, either in your first year of use or over several years. You'll get depreciation value too. The IRS just revised its rules for equipment purchases for businesses, actually in our favor for a change. So, being a business has financial advantages over the average buyer. Check with your accountant, it probably will be extra money up front, but you'll get almost half of it back either in the form of refund or lower taxes.

Yes, the early 80's Mitsubishi's had over heating problems also. Generally caused by the radiator being undersized. If this isn't a new problem, but one that has been from the beginning of your ownership, then you may benefit from looking into the later model radiators - these have more cooling capacity and may be a simple bolt-in replacement. As I stated earlier, a good Case or Cub Cadet dealer may be willing to help you sort things out.

I have owned 4 such machines, two Kubota's and two Deere's.

All the owners manuals have had detailed information on draining and refilling critical fluids.

I have a driveway that I recently had built. It is 400 feet long and 15 foot wide with fairly steep ditches on both sides. The driveway goes up a hill. I have a Kubota Grand L 4330. What can I do to maintain the crown on the drivey so the water runs of the sides instead of down the middle. I have a box blade and a front end loader. Would these tools do it. I was also thinking about a blade. I am not sure how to make the slope. Any advise would be appreciated.<br>

Just to update on this subject. I was poking around on the other site and they had a thread going about this subject. Someone had mentioned a bearing that had to be replaced in the trans. I called my dealer and the parts guy said he was aware that this could be a problem and they currently had another model in the shop, a B series I think, that he said was similar in design that they were replacing. He said they actually hadn't had many comebacks for this problem but thought the problem might be more frequent in the northern climate. He said the bearing was not in the transmission, but somewhere on the linkage. I haven't crawled underneath to look yet, but he is going to order me one. Hope this helps someone because a sticking or sluggish returning pedal isn't safe.
