I have a Canon S820 Photo Inkjet Printer, its 2 years old now.<br>

It has a separate print head with separate cartridges for each of the six colors it has.<br>
<br>
Well one of them got clogged. I tried the maintenance program that pushes ink in the nozzle. No dice.<br>
<br>
I searched for advice and soaked it overnight in rubbing alcohol and used cue tips on the head. I dipped and dipped and swabed and swabed for hours.<br>

Stuck it back in, no dice.<br>
<br>
I searched for another approach and found one that said to soak the head in warm distilled water. Then blot the head on a paper towel until no ink is left, and keep dipping in the warm water.<br>

Hmmm that made things a little better. I made a page of stuff in the color of the clogged nozzle.<br>
<br>
I found that cleaning the head in the warm distilled water then putting it in the printer and printing my test page for about four cycles cured the beast.<br>
<br>
After the rubbing alcohol failure I was about to give up, but then I saw that a new print head can cost $80 to $125, which is actually more than the printer costs now.<br>
<br>
I could have saved alot of time by just using this distilled water, print a page, distilled water process. The cure uses alot of ink though, but at least I do not have to toss the printer, and I have a bunch of unused cartridges. Hope this helps someone that has this type of printer<br>

You could buy a larger B-series and add a hoe later for about 6000 dollars round numbers. Thats a coupe of thousand more then the BX. It would be able to dig deeper and have some additional strength but often times it becomes cheaper at this point to just hire someone for the jobs and just sit and wait for them to come to do it, and then worst of all, sit and watch them have the fun! I've seen 18" apple tree stumps dug out in minutes with a BX with little yard damage done. They have newer low rates out you should check into as maybe a four or five year program might work for you.

My 1996 1715 FWD is leaking from the same place. Please post what you did to correct the problem. My leak isn't too bad but it is getting to the point where I am going to need to do something about it before I lose alot of coolant in a short amount of time.

I was thinking of installing a power inverter on my tractor. I know 1 horsepower is equivalent to 750 Watts. Does that mean a 2000 watt power inverter would run a 2 horsepower electric motor? Do these inverters work?

Art, I'm asking for your advise. Can you quote the package I described (BX2230, FELw/4 position valve, 54"MMM, snowblower)? Also what do you recommend for rear ballast when using FEL or snowblower? I've heard so many suggestions---ballast box, wheel weights, back blade, load the wheels, etc.. What is your opinion?<br>

I got a friend with a 36" auger on his John Deere 270 skit steer. That would work, but will run you twice the price of a Bx23.

That grill guard comes in handy. I already saved the hood, head lights, and grill a couple of times. I had a 8 inch thick log come rolling down off a pile of brush and BAM hit the guard. Didn't even scrape the paint. That whole front runs $600. Happened to a friend's tractor.

Get the biggest loader you can. It will hold up a lot better. PLus you can pick up more. My dealer has a 7610 on the lot with an old la302 loader from left over stock on it. He sold more 7610 in the last month than B7510.

planning to rent a 3 point pto driven overseeder in the next few weeks to overseed horse pastures. However the rental runs about 275 for the weekend. I can buy an older Brillion seeder ( GLP64-01) that is not pto powered but has notched wheels and looks heavy enough to get thru existing sod.Price 1450.00 Likely I'll be overseeding in the fall and possibly next spring as well. Rent or buy ? Ps any one have experience with these non powered Brillions ? Thanks.

I can not see how the shims would be long enough to move it in that far to not engage. If it is engaging some of the time I guess out of alignment is out of the question.
Normally this problem is not fully moving to the starting position. Sometimes a battery that does not have enough voltage (low voltage) or poor ground will do this. If you tested on the bench did you use the same battery?

Can anyone tell me if you can get a backhoe for the MF gc2300 or do you have to buy the gc2310? The specs for the MF2375 backhoe list the 2310 only.<br>
I don't need the backhoe at this time but I don't want to limit my options for the future.<br>
(i was set to buy the kubota bx2230, until the dealer told me they didn't make a BH for it - they want you to buy the bx23)

Wallenstein BX60 vs. Patu DC 40 vs. Valby ??. Need to chip primarily limbs & saplings - not heavy brush - on about 50 acres ... over time. We also have ~ 8 acres of reclaimed pasture. Just placed a deposit on a used Kubota L4310 and have not seen any mention of the Wallenstein product; 1 dealer said Valbys are "power-hungry"; for a few hrs/weekend is the hydraulic feed feature (& remote??) really needed? Only want to buy once!! (choice of power tools: Bosch & Delta) Also, does anyone have a Curtis cab? Your thoughts are appreciated.

Book on the tractor appears to be about 10K, but as you can get the TC30 for around 1l.5 or 12 K with 4x I think this is a little inflated. Personally I would not go above about 6-7K.

Good question. It looks like the pros like Art missed this one. I would not assume that the bushing has been replaced. Probably just wear. I would not bet against the bushing shim having worn in two and disappeared.
I am not sure if it would be brass on steel or steel on steel. Is there no where that you can fine the 8N parts? If you can find the hard brass then the brass on steel would likely be better for wear.

I believe AV8R said he had a Diesel Jetta already. I took a new Beetle TDI with 5sp for a drive. Not really slow.

I disagree about the skidsteer they are not nearly as versitile as a CUT. They are limited in ground clearance also no good for mowing. They will tear a lawn to shreds. A cut can do many more things much easier than a skidsteer.

Reich4300, I went to both Adams and Keil for JD. I didn't think either dealer was easy to work with. I just wanted a price from Keil and they wanted to send me all over NY to look at used tractors because that's what they decided was best for me. They wouldn't just give me a price. So I went to Adams - they didn't budge much on price but gave me what I wanted. Plus Adams has a great reputation for service.

However, I have been paying attention to what's been said on this site. I think its true that you might want to buy a tractor from a place that caters to farmers - like Pine Plains Tractor (New Holland). Adams sells lawnmowers and moved up to compact tractors.
