I really couldn't care less what people buy, nor am I looking
for a pissn contest.
I just feel that when a new buyer is asking about tractor
brands, there is more to consider than the initial purchase

Hi guys! I'm new here but I'd like to get some advice on what I should pay for this tractor. It's a Branson 3510 with industrial tires, they quoted me $11,795.00. I'm going to get some attachments also, like a 6' finishing mower and 5' cutter, a 5' blade and 18' trailer. None of which are factored into the price of course but I thought by purchasing all this from them at the same time might lend some type of discount. So, I guess I'm asking if I should expect a discount from their quoted price for each individual item since I'd be buying everything at once and also if the price of the trator seems ok. Lastly, do these tractors normally have room for negotiation?<br>

The problem with click-type torque wrenches is that when they're stored without backing off the adjustment ring they go out of calibration. Instructions with the ones I've seen specifically warn against storing them this way. One problem with a used one is you have no idea how it was stored.

Looks like if you want to put a backhoe (kubota) on a 7510/7610, the ROPS will have to be foldable due to height criteria of same and function of implement.<br>

depending on the particular unit, stock write-up on the orange tractors is 15%- 20%.

I am afraid unless the thing is totally burned up I normally take the alternator to the local auto electric. Most will totally rebuild the alternator for less than $75.<br>
If you buy a remanufactured on they are essentially the same thing. Technically the only items that no wear in an alternator of generator are the brushes, diodes and bearings. Most times these can all easily be replaced.<br>
I have seen Mitsu prices on their auto electrics. Ouch!! I have no idea why a little tractor alternator would be so much. If the mount is not too complicated you could change it to an generic one.

They have used red wood and red cedar bark mulch for years. I guess the west cost fashion has finally come east, except we have to dye the ground up oak pallets.

Thanks for the response. To get MY body into a trench would take more than a 12" bucket LOL Actually, I don't see a need to get myself into a trench. This would be for electrical conduit and water pipes that could be assembled above ground and dropped in (I think). I could see where the 9" bucket might concentrate the force more when ripping out roots.

Anyone know where I could download a 47 backhoe manual? The JD site has manuals online for most of their tractors, but not for the attachments.

Burt: I wish I could claim to be the HERO in the photo but, alas, I am not. The photo came to me in an E-mail from a friend who is currently serving. Much to my shame I never served our country in this manner (was talked out of being an Army Warrant Officer helicopter pilot by dear 'ol Mom). Sorry.<br>

The draw bar is in fact a $10 Fleet Farm unit with some home made vertical and top pieces welded on. I work as a machinist and do alot of C-NH parts and the steel was some left over scrap that I welded together. Works good tho!!

Get the upgrade round back bucket and extra bolt on cutting edge. If you need a thumb they as well as quick disconnect come from the KH-excavator side. The auxillary hydraulics on the hoe are nice for augers or hammers as well but it does depend on your uses.
