No offense intended there grinder! I am sure it will be a mechanically great vehicle but the styling just did not appeal to me.

Yes. You need the power beyond port to continue the hydraulic loop for the rest of the tractor hydraulics. You have the diagram of the hydraulic block. One of the ports on the block is labeled power beyond. Follow line on that port back to the FEL valve. It will be on the output side of the valve, going back the hyd block. The other line on the output side of the valve will go to the return port of the tractor. This is where you will need a tee to connect the return of the aux valve with the return of the FEL valve. Tractorsmart can give you a diagram, or draw a diagram from my previuos reply. Once you see it on paper, it makes a lot of sense. the per beyond is necessary to continue the high pressure circuit for the tractor hydraulics. Let me know if you need any more infor. Good luck

I agree with Art. You probably have a 6 foot wheel base on your tractor.

A six foot cutter is not just six feet wide but six feet long as well. And it hangs 7 or 8 feet behind the balance line on your rear axle.

Too much, I think.

There are books available and they do very by the methods they use. Some go by auction prices and some go by what dealers tell them.

I don't know of a website but most dealers have books on them at this point. There are several different ones that cover them.

There is a little more of everything but the horsepower would be the largest gain if it was needed. Implements for the most part would be the same.

You can gear to do most anything. On finish mowers depending on manufacturer they talk blade tip speed. The higher the better as a lower blade tip speed means mowing with a slower ground speed for the most part. There also is the consideration of blade lift. This will stand the grass up better under less then ideal conditions.

I don't have a 4-in-1 bucket but instead have a grapple and a regular HD bucket, so you must be talking about the grapple. The grapple has tines on the top and bottom jaws. A 4-in-1 is a regular bucket with the top section hinged so it can open and close. The grapple is wonderful for clearing and piling up slash and trees but it and a bucket combined probably cost more than a 4-in-1 (not sure what a 4-in-1 costs, maybe someone else can answer). My grapple is a 5-footer and cost around $2500. If you're interested in the grapple here's a link.

CharlieR - I don't have a disk. But when I was a kid I spent a lot of time my friend's farm. They used the disk to tear up the sod, then used the plow to turn the soil, then a harrow to comb the soil before planting. Maybe it depends on the soil - but I don't think they ever expected any kind of deep soil penetration with the disk.

Was that 89 cents a gallon for propane? I use around 800 gal/year and as of my last delivery it was $2.15 per gallon.
What a ripoff here in Maine, Spend tax dollars for State/Federal fuel assistance programs, then the suppliers raise the prices because the 'program' will pay whatever they ask.
With a little luck I'll be back to wood heat by the fall. Scroo all these 'support your local whatever' who rip off their customers. Will gladly pay the premium for 'low volume user' if I can get down to 100-125 gal/year. The dealer can eat 'losses' on the tank and regulators.

I ran across a YM 1500 tractor with a 4 ft. shredder. It appears to be in really good shape and runs great. It also has a small box blade with it and the seller is asking $2000 for it. <br>

My questions are: 1) Is this a fair price? 2) How many horsepower is this tractor & 3) Is this a gray market unit and, if so, is there an imported equivalent and are parts readily available and where?

Thanks very much for the response. I bought a rear-mounted flail mower shredder instead of a mid-mount mower. It not only mows well, but it will also cut through small siplings. The top and tilt hydraulics were ordered as an afterthought - glad I did.

A relative is asking to buy my tractor - he lives in the San Diego area and his house on 5 acres survived the fires. Needs a tractor to work the area, so I'd like to give him a fair deal on my tractor.
