AV8R: I used 2 1/2 in. high casters (flat tops - 4 holes). Just noticed that I only used 2 bolts per caster - plenty strong. I did not add holes to stands but I have thought about doing that to get everything to lineup without using jack.

I have a B7200 with a 4 foot snow /dirt blade. I can buy a 5' blade for about $500 but that seems a little pricey for an extra foot. I can buy blade wings that add 10" on either side that may fit my blade. Is there some good way to increase the width of my blade to 5' at least?<br>
By the way- I have a 900 foot paved driveway with a 100' rise. Probably the worst winter driveway in Chester County Pa. This board recommended ROPS(got that) and chains (got them) and has been very helpful. Thank you for all your suggestions.

Kubota does have the new programs out. I felt that with them running out of tractors this past year that the 0% might not be back and it isn't on the B's and L's the most important ones in our size. The lower interest rates make it so in many cases it doesn't make much difference.

Don't forget that in Asia these are Ag machines working fulltime in heat and humidity that we only have nightmares about, toodling around the lawn cutting grass is a cake-walk by comparison.

If the cooling systems on these things were not ultra-efficient they would burn up in no time at all.

We have worked our machines in the Islands doing construction jobs that would have (and sometimes did) melt other machines.

I agree with Art, it is not a design defect, it is an ultra-efficient design. If it's a concern you could always change the thermostat or devise some form of temperature controlled shutter system as used on heavy equipment to keep the engine temp.'s up.

Best the Government has figured so far is that there is DEFINITELY an inverse relationship involved.

It seems that when the temperature or the voltage goes down, the population goes up, there IS however about a nine month delay in the process... they estimate the power failure last fall alone will result in about 15,000 new Metric people.

All the usual fine print applies regarding liability resulting from spilled coffee or falling out of chairs from excessive laughing. Tissues NOT included. Premium membership required to access punch lines.

They sure do Mike. the 4010 - 4115 are exclusively Japanese made and built and the 4210 - 4710 use the yanmar and are assemble in the plant in GA. Its gettin' so almost nothing is 100% USA made.

I'm in the process of rebuilding a loader (mostly the mount) on an L225DT. I'm rebuilding it because I want to be able to mount it and dismount it in less than a minute and I think I have a design that will allow that. I'm not done building it so I'll have to reserve final judgement for awhile. I also plan to leave the loader valve on the tractor and plumb it for a remote. I can send you pictures if you're interested in the "quick-attach" design. Maybe you have better ideas - I'd be interested in hearing them.

Tom, both VOR and RADAR work because of a narrow highly directive radio beam. Any metal obstruction can deflect that focused beam and give a false azimuth reading. In some cases, you this might appear as a ghost image of a single object on the radar.

Only specially prepared glass will shield against radio waves. It is doubtful that windshield glass provides any reasonable protection from RF at all.

The best solution is to mount the radar antenna in the clear and above all humans. A pole, tripod, or any other adequate support will be fine.

If you have a BP/Amoco nearby, check them out. The Amoco premier and power blend fuels are 50 minimum. I have used them for 30 year without the need for treatment. The fuel has most all the stuff in it that the additive provides.

I purchased the TC24D with a NH backhoe. It is a sub-frame attachment type. It is very easy to mount and remove. Cost was $5200. I have put it to good use.

No doubt that the Branson is a fine machine. as far as compact tractors, these machines will give more bang for the buck than anything else out there.
The Tass 180 and 190 loaders on these machines are mounted on the tractor at 3 differant places. front, center and the rear end. The center mounting is massive. The 190 loader has bigger tilt cylinders and is equiped with a quick disconect bucket. real handy

Congrats on your new machine, the backhoe really makes me jealous. I didn't need one but it sure would be fun to play with. Just one observation, I see you bought a 16' trailer. Is that trailer going to be long enough for the machine with the backhoe? I am not that familiar with JD but from looking at some pics of them, they look pretty large and heavy. Just something you may want to look into.

The utility company will install dawn to dusk halogen yard lights around here and the charge is a flat rate. They can't be turned off and I think there's is the power outage thing but that's the utility's problem. I wouldn't have one 'cause I got to liking my country dark. To me it seems very strange driving in the middle of a country night and see one of these places lit up like a used car lot.

We have just two rural service incandescent bulbs on the house and a motion sensitive one at a parking area. The regular bulbs didn't last very long. I figure there's enough light if I can see where to put the keys. The motion sensor is sort of a pain. Wind in the trees sets it off and we have to dance around under the pole to get it to turn on if the sensitivity is reduced enough to keep the wind from setting it off. Fortunately the light is fed from a GFI receptacle on the pole. I tend to use the GFI test like a switch since we seldom really need the light.

It's probably a little late now but I'd tell who ever is setting up the tractor about the chains. They'd likely give you as much clearance as possible either by adjusting the rims if they are adjustable or by reversing the wheels. Reversing the wheels usually means exchanging left and right rather than turning them around. No guarantees that there'd be enough clearance. A few wheels can't be adjusted but it's not too common.

I have an Agric 40" tiller for my b7100HST and I love it,tiller is built like a tank(and just about as heavy)and gives great results.Rocks don't seam to bother it and it will clean up smaller(1" or so)tree roots.

There are lots of pressures to use. BUT it depends on the size of your tip which should correspend to the thickness of metal you are cutting.

Of course then it depends on what gas you are using.

Winterhunter I would suggest that you consider a 4310 if you plan to use a 72" MMM. The 4310 has a taller stance and will allow you more adjustability. From others I have spoken with there seems to be an issue with the amount of height adjustment on the 4210 with the MMM due to it lower height stance. I think the 72" althought it will fit would be a bit much for the 4210 in heavier grass. The 4310 offers obviously more hp and is still a mid frame tractor. It is one of the most popular of the 4000 Ten Series for a good reason. It may cost a little more but I think you would be better served with it.

Sorry... you are right. The Multi Trac C/S shown on the web site was not the tire I saw offered as a turf tire on a new 7800.

The tire pictured on the web site is as good as you are going to get for snow/ice usage in a standard tractor tire.

Your will see some increase in performance if you went to a studded radial SUV tire, but probably not enough to justify the cost.

If I had a 2910 with that tire I would as Murf said ballast the heck out of the tractor and run minimal air pressures....... 10 to 12 PSI.

I think the multi trac would work well with cable chains in slippery conditions and the cables would take up a lot less room under the fender when compared to link chains.

I bought the 200 amp unit and configured it to a old used
murray lawnmower like the one displayed on the Zena web page, it works good but the largest size rod that I can use
is 3/32 because I do not have the HP I only have a 11hp briggs+stratton, motor sounds like your are cutting tall grass when you start welding. Only problem I have had is the connection on the lead control wire connection and a
blown fuse in the control module that is attached to the
generator but company repaired it promptly.I like my unit
but would really like it if I had the power to turn it like
it should.
