Hope it works but WD-40 has let me down in a number of similar situations. Sometimes I've just started off with a torch when an area can be heated. Saves an overnight wait too. Too enthusiasm with a breaker-bar might produce a real mess. I wonder when you might start getting into wide-load issues in your area? If you have to get a trailer, getting a wider one might be a solution. I'd sure price having the transportation done--especially if a trailer to do the job wouldn't have much on-going use.

One of the problems they were having with that design engine was the balance. They did try several ways to stop it in different versions but I do believe it's the size of the rotating mass there. You can try as Chief suggested to mount in rubber but don't plan on it going away. The engine you have at 16 horsepower when used by cadet still had the starter generator bolted to it.

Most tanks do have a shut off valve on them. The biggest frustration is often filling a filter with fresh product so it doesn't have to dry crank to regain it's prime. They are or can be messy when changing.

If you have live pto, running the blower till the auger clears after stopping prevents most chute clogging. I tend to run my chute fairly open because that also will contribute to clogging. If you don't have live pto then you have to lift the blower before stopping and maybe a 'broom stick holder' on the tractor would be a good idea.

An open chute does make for more snow on the operator though and I don't have a cab either. I swore I'd get a heated snowmobile helmet this year but haven't yet. It's only a problem when the wind is from certain directions and I try to avoid cleari8ng snow when there's a wind anyway. Really bites the face when it happens. Good thing my neighbours are too far away to be disturbed. Cabs without rear window defrosters and wipers have their own problems.

Traditional hydrostatic transmissions like the one found on my NH TC30 incur a load on the valve circuit that is connected to the hydro pedals. This is most apparant at low RPM's as pump flow has some counteracting force. This is a well-known issue and has been addressed with more modern hydros like those found on the Deere e-hydro's and the Kubota Grand L's. What does all this mean? You don't have to like it, but you should expect your hydro pedals to want to stay in the engaged position when the trans is under load. (especially at low engine RPM's)

Lubing your pivot points is always good but will not provide a complete solution. I always use my foot to return my pedal to neutral. It's a habit of mine, and it provides me with total and reliable control at all times. My machine has the rocker style pedal which makes this very easy. It's just a matter of tipping my foot forward and backward.

Some of the Kubota product literature does a good job of explaining the hydro loading issue and how Kubota has worked to improve on the design.

This one is strange isn't it? Yes, it used to run up hill, down hill, sideways with no problem. I have not checked anything in the hydraulics as yet. It runs strong downhill and flat, but even the slightest incline bogs it down. But you would still think it would smoke under heavy load unless it was at the power limit of the machine. That's why I'm still leaning toward fuel control. I think the governor is calling for fuel, but a control limiter or something is throttling it. There is that fuel controller on the back of the governor that is mysterious to me. I cannot figure out what it does. Nothing in the manual says what to do about it other than point it out on a diagram. Also, the mower deck does turn freely and easily by hand at the shaft - no binding.

Something I found interesting is Shibaura engines are a owned or that was my interpitation of the Catipilar site when you type in Shibaura engines.com, the real funny thing was the dealer didnt know this.

You are slipping the transmission instead of spinning the wheel. Something has to slip at some point to start a load. Well I guess it has more to being an infinite speed transmission. The fact is you can not be running at 2000 rpm's and pop a clutch in with a manual transmission without tranfering the energy directly to tires. If the tires do not spin then something made out of steel will spin. :(

To add wheels to bagger: found casters at Lowes that were the same width as horizontals, drilled four holes for each, and bolted them on. Had to be careful drilling near welds. Top 3pt mount goes on perfect but 2 side mounts for 3pt are a little high with wheels on, so I use small jack to lower & support unit while I remove pins, raise stands, and make final attachment. Your pic looks exactly like my BX23.

I am a concrete products manufacturer in CT, My grandfather started the business over 42 years ago. The molds for an 18"X18" patio block can cost upwards of $50 for a quality one. The cost of a manufactured 18"X18" block from a manufacturer should not exceed $5 each. About $2.25 per square foot. The stamped concrete walks and driveways are unusually stressed by compacting the molds into the wet crete, causing premature cracking. The best way to install a slab or paver walkway would involve a 6"-8" compacted base of 3/4" processed gravel, followed by no more than 1" or either angular sand or stonedust, followed by the blocks, with a restraint edging spiked into the ground next to the blocks to prevent migration outwards. If anyone would like detailed installation information on this project I would be glad to mail literature to anyone.

And shortmag,or shortmag,just like typing shortmag,you could pay under 8,000 and have somebody put it together for you,change the fluids,test it out,and offer it with a 6 months parts and labor warrenty,a 254,thats got a nice red color,but you would be missing out on all that fun..... Richard

I used the Nordic system it heat but does not turn on only to heat the tank. When the system is on it heats it does not come on just to heat the tank.

Have decided to purchase b7610 or 2410. Would like to know if anyone has any information or advice on "kit" backhoes as would like to add something smaller than standard kubota back hoe for this tractor. I would only have smaller digging projects on my property.<br>

How difficult are they to asssemble, does this model readily accept them and what kind of cost am I looking at?<br>

The cost isn't as bad as I figured it to be, but I'm like you and I'm sticking with the Kubota products. Thanks for the tip on the rubbermaid pan. My wife has so many rubbermaid tubs it is unreal. She has about 25 of the 18 gallon ones for Christmas stuff along with a couple 50 gallon ones for bigger items. Several more but different colors for easter stuff, halloween things, and so on. She even stores all the baby clothes in those tubs when the baby grows out of them (you know in case she has another one)!!!! All in all we must have a 100 of those tubs!! I should have bought stock in rubbermaid before she went out and bought them!!! She even uses them for laundry baskets.

I was unsure as to the power level of these units. I guess we are suggesting more work. I have worked on eye protection for the IR pulsed lasers, but the lower power can be more dangerous due to its insidious nature.
If you are thinking of a strong single pilon then maybe the 80/20 might be acceptable. It has extrude square tubing with connecting plates.

I recently purchased a B7800. The operators manual is usefull, but does not go into detail on replacing instrument panel lights. Does the instrument panel board remove from the Panel cover easily to replace bulbs. I can't tell if it snaps in place or not, and obviously don't have a shop manual yet.

I installed a 1" diameter 45 degree copper elbow to direct the exhaust down and forward of the tire. Works great.
