I had a B7100D & like Art said it could be mounted horizontally or vertically as the flange between the exhaust stack and manifold was square. I rotated mine down to avoid hitting tree branches & don't really remember breathing fumes all that much.

I agree with Mark. I think Deere could have handled this in a much better fashion than they did and they owe the buyers or these tractors an explaination if not an offer to trade up or some kind of meaningful good will jesture.

The 4310 and 4610 are the best value buys of the 4000 Ten Series CUT's. Most bang for the buck. For plowing the gear shift trans is best. For FEL work the ehydro. The ehydro can do both and has other advantages such as fine creeper applications and great ease of fine accurate movement for much easier hook ups. Get the eHydro, you will be very happy with it. If you are wanting to save some money or want a good middle ground between ehydro and straight gear shift. Get the ePowerReverser. The 990 is also a good choice if you want a more basic tractor with less bells and whistles but still a great tractor. Which ever you decide, get 4WD. You will be VERY glad you did. Helps with 4 wheel braking, traction in muck, as well as FEL work.

Art, you are doing really well with these two-for-one shots. To continue: is there any clutching necessary with the GST transmission? How would the GST perform when using the MMM as compared to the HST? I simply have had no experience with a transmission like that and cannot quite get it together in my head. You can do it though~:-)
Seems to me that with loader work and mowing the HST would be the best choice but my lack of knowledge of the GST is showing here. Thanks.

I paid 11,800 for my tractor with loader, delivered. So high nines for the tractor itself would be about right.

Has anybody been successful in finding out any information on Hinomoto? Ever so often I see where there is a cross reference to another model of Massey Ferguson, but nothing close to what I am looking for. I am trying to find any manuals for model E174 and any information that someone might have might help me. Thank you.

Forgot one important step if you try this method, after seeding, use the BACK side of a metal leaf rake, and rake your seed in.
You need to get a little dirt on top of the seed to aid in
sprouting,then roll it.

I ran across a 2003 model LB1914 with less than 100 hours on it. It has a loader, a spreader, a grading blade, a shredder and a post hole digger with a 6" auger. I'm not that familiar with Kiotis but the reports I've seen seem to be generally positive. I've got a couple of questions regarding it;<br>

1)Is $10,000 a fair price for the whole package?<br>

2)I will be using it mostly for occasional mowing of a 20-25 acre pasture. Mostly weed control - cattle graze it most of the time. It is smaller than the majority of the units (25-35hp)I've been looking at. Is it capable of doing what I need done?<br>

I have a 7500 with a 3pth 54" provonost blower I use on a
200' paved drive and 50x50 parking area. (Rear blower costs 1400.00) At the most how many times a year are you going to use it? This leaves the loader available to move banks and
clean up. Or, to lift something when needed.
For a paved drive, to me a blower is the only way to go. if it gets any sun, it will be clear soon after blowing.
I have never used a back blade, but have watched a guy a couple of times, I can't see it works that great, maybe for light snowfall 6-8"s ? We have had two good storms this year
so far, 20+ inches =4-5' snowbank at the road in the morn.
I had no problem,had to go slow when the snow was rolling over the blower,but it chugged right through. The Cab is
on the wish list though !! right after I get my 60" MMM.
In the mean time I put on my goggles and go for it.
I am sure you will be happy with any of the models you are considering. Talk to someone who has the one you like?

mushing, I see from your profile that you probably used to work in Rochester at IBM before going to St Mary's. I'm also in Rochester but live in Wisconsin. We're practically neighbors. When you get your deer plots in you'll be able to bring in those big Whitewater bucks that roam around over there.

Art, Need your advice and input. Is the high output alternator upgrade(BX7310 480 watts)and reversing the rear work lights provide ample lighting for snow removal with the FEL.<br>
