Thanks Art. How do you think the loader would excavate in sand for the foundation holes? We build beach cottages, typically 26x34 foundations, with the holes a few feet larger each way, so not very large, and only about 24" deep. I know it could probably be done with the hoe, but thought the loader might make it a bit quicker.

We're probably thinking new due to the right off bonus that extends through 2004. The IRS gives new equipment purchases a 50% first year bonus, plus 20% of the remaining, so it works out to a 60% first year write off. Kubota has some really low rates right now on their new equipment too.

We were quoted a retail price of about 27k for the B21TLB. What would you guess the real sales price should be?

I am in need of a hood support bracket for a YM2010 that has notches in it to stop the hood from going to far forward. Also I need 1 rubber foot rest pad & 1 complete chrome hood latch inside & out for this same tractor

Grizzly I think the reason that some companies make things the way they do is so they can sell more parts! I don't think you have anything to worry about as those tracotrs are quite well built andthere parts supply system is the best it's ever been.

On the larger farm tractors many of the makes have introduced the ability to free wheel at least a 1/4 turn. I think it will come to compacts with the hydraulic clutches. Many of the hydro's can be turned on the older units before the hydralic clutch packs came into play..

JD is best at marketing I have to agree. Zetor offers a lot in a tractor cost/performance wise. In many countries they are not orange with the name of Zetor but green and yellow and say John Deere. The post that stated he could find equal JD�s that were slightly uses for less money than in a NH or Kubota speaks volumes. The price of slightly used cars, trucks and tractors reflects the profit margins for the factory/dealership for the most part. Why, because they will not pay more for a trade-in than they could go and replace it with another new one. Personally I run from higher margins when buying new if products are within a hair of each one.

JD benefits from the American Icon image even if it states Made in Japan on a small tag somewhere. I know farmers that spend $100K+ on equipment each year that will only buy the green line. If looking for a mower, compact, etc they only look at what JD has period. This is why JD can extract more $$ then the rest. That is because they have the best marketing skills. They are more resellers than manufacturing when compared to some other companies. The Zetors they sell in many countries are identical except for what paint line Zetor sends them down.

I agree JD is a very good tractor but an even better marketing company. More JD�s are sold based on color than another tractor on the market. One reason is they have stayed with the same color. Ford left red and gray in 1963 for some reason then about 10 years ago sold to a top of the line hay-baling firm. Cases are now red. Like autos today, there is no All American tractors it seems

I have the 60 mmm with the bagger for my bx22. It is my understanding the 60 mmm msy give slightly better cut due to the self balancing linkage. However I have no knowledge of how the 54 mmm cuts.

I have no problems removing and installing th deck (done it way to many times). Now installing the bagger, thats another story. I only use mine for leaves, so I dont have alot of pratice with it.

Harvey, I think it's great to see posts from anyone who wants to help/learn. I'd guess at this point poor Dennis is a bit frustrated, with good reason. <br>
One thing that all of us need to consider: at what point is "help" not help? This is particularly true when someone posts regarding a potential purchase. I like my Jinma and can't see why others want to spend a lot more money, and so I could easily go make posts on other boards trying to "help" them. But they probably wouldn't see it as help. And, for example, sometimes it's hard to bite my tongue when I see someone post about spending $xxx on a fifty hour service. But we all have different preferences, talents and priorities.<br>

Does anybody have a CK20 with a midmount mower and R4 tires? I just took delivery of mine and notice that the tires rub on the front of the deck when I turn. I have to believe this can be adjusted and was looking to see if anyone else has had this problem.

I have an L3000DT with position control. I seem to get good control over movement of the 3ph in the downward direction (i can lower it incrementaly with incremental position lever movements), but not as good in the up direction. Once the 3ph has been lowered to a certain position I have to move the position lever quite a ways in the opposite direction before it starts to raise. it's basically a trial & error process to find the point the implement will start to raise again. Makes it difficult to control for box blade work. Is this pretty much normal? My B7100D had finer control although it had a slightly different system.<br>

I disagree with you,it seems to me that quality and value were being discussed as well as how they compare to the so called big three. I simply voiced my opinion, a point that maybe a prospective tractor buyer might consider.<br>
If your going to delete any slams on a particular brand, seems to me you will be deleteing a good part of your text.<br>
