Kobota man,northern sells back hoes and end loaders with them as a package,I think they are made by great bend,I don't have either so can't say much there,I use a 5 ft hog with power to spare,mine is the 254,25 horse,the 204 is rated at 20 horse. You should go to northerns web page and look up tractors,Northern Tool.com,I believe. They also have stores in various places,I bought mine at their store in Salem,Va. Their main phone number is 1-800-533-5545,then ask them for a tractor person. I'm happy so far with mine,time of course will tell,but the price is right,and they are good people to deal with after you buy. Richard

My parents had a woodstove (Timberline) when I was little (they still use wood now. My mom was very cold natured so she kept the stove burning extremely hot!!! She had an old rocking chair setting about 4 feet away from the stove and the varnish started to bubble on the chair. She got it so hot once, that she had the stove pipe cherry red and ended up melting the heat sheild in the stove which started a fire in the chimney and cracked the flu liner. Needless to say, dad had to draw the line on hot fires. Now they just burn it hot for about an hour and you can hear the creosote flaking off and falling into the clean out. They tried the stuff you buy off the TV but it didn't work for nothing.

Did you let out any of those Tim Allen grunts as you were driving the new tractor? As far as the imprint of the tire that you were concerned about, how did it do? Everything is very soft in our area now and if it is going to cut in, it would do it now.
I had mine out today cutting off more topsoil but it was a muddy mess. The R-4's suprised me and did a relatively decent job until they loaded up with mud. They unloaded the mud fairly easily by themselves with just a trip through the higher grass. Now the tractor needs a good washing!!!!

I currently have an order for a new B7510 HSD with a 50" B2750 snowblower. I was at the dealer and he had a snowblower for the BX the 50" BX2750 blower.<br>

I was not that impressed with it and I am hoping the B2750 is more heavy duty. Can Art or another dealer tell me if they are the same or is the B blower a little stronger.<br>

Also who makes the Kubota blowers as I have seen them on other machines with other Tractor makers brands on them?<br>

I'd say that is a week to get it in and apart, a week for parts,and a week to put it together. That gives them more then enough time to do the job properly.

DOC changed his handle to Misenplace haven't seen a post on here from him in a while but he did e mailed me a round deer season. haven't heard from him since though. He's probley been real busy workin on his property as he was telling me there were a lot of chores to be done there.

All man-made products have defects, especially complex products in the first year of production. An important measure of quality in terms of the ownership experience is the willingness of the manufacturer to make right any defects that turn up. JD replaced most of the axles on the first 4000 series machines at no cost to the owners. A few people have mentioned Kubota's denial of warranty claims for seemingly BS reasons. Art denies ever encountering this but there have been threads here and on other boards so there must be some truth to it.

* diameter of front PTO shaft
* number of splines on front PTO shaft
* max rpm of front PTO shaft
* when facing the tractor, does the shaft rotate clockwise or counterclockwise?
* how would you lift the blower? (hydaulics? manually?)

Mark one mourning I found the two donkeys in my barn, they were seeking political assylum. They were being ridiculed in the herd for being outspoken on their support of the president and the war in Iraq. They are also big opponents of nationalized medicine or anything else being nationalized for that matter. We welcomed them into our little herd with opened arms and hooves.

I do not think that "Japs" is the proper slang for South Korea. Feel free to correct me... The term "Japs" refers to the people of Japan.
I am a Kioti dealer in the north Texas area... The 3054 was my "bread and butter" for many years. It is a stout, dependable machine. The DK series tractors knocked the LK's out of my "bread and butter" slot.
Of the hundreds of 3054's that we have sold since the mid 90's, I have seen the insides of only 1 (one) engine... This particular machine belongs to a rental company, and rarely has an easy work day. The owner of this rental company has purchased several machines of differant colors, and has informed me that the Kioti was by far the most reliable rental tractor he ownes.
With the introduction of the LK3054XS, the LK3054 should be even more attractively priced.
I am 5 feet 7 inches tall, 200 lbs, in good health. Just as most all of the "older style" tractors, the machine (3054)is diffucult to get on and off of. However, once on the machine, it fits me like a glove. All the controlls are well placed, easy to operate. The price you quoted from Tilton is a very compettitive price. As far as the 3 year warrenty, chances are you will never need it as long as you do the "mantenance thing" in a timely fashion.

You are right about the allowances being low on the dealer. Many people will give the owner more for the unit off his yard then at a dealer as they feel they don't have to worry about the used car salesman. Truth be know we go thru all our trades we retail with oil and filter changes as well as checking the sdjustments. Call me within a reasonable time frame and we will straighten out anything that is not right. That is still selling them as is! Would anybody else do that? When considering trades it still works out as the bottom line is where it's at.

Hey Bubba Joe Claus! What happened to my MX5 rotary cutter, 48 backhoe, bucket grapple, Miller 300 shop welder, and tandem axle gooseneck 24' 20,000 lb. capacity trailer?????? There was spit all over the front porch and the trash cans were all turned over and picked through but no goodies? The wife says to next time put the toilet seat lid up BEFORE you pee in the pot and take you spit can with you when you go! ;o)

I did get a Craftsman circular saw with the laser trac. It has a 14 amp motor and is very heavy. I guess my wife is trying to tell me I need some help staying on line.

The issue with the faded paint is applicable to pretty much all tractors if you leave them parked out in the sun and weather. My L245 was severely faded and the paint looked horrible. I buffed it out with some McGuiar's Heavy Oxidation Remover and the paint looked as good as new. Same thing applies with the plastic/fiberglass on the John Deere's.

I ran into this width problem on my trailer with the 72" MMM on my 4410. Even with the grass deflector chute hooked up and out of the way; the MMM is still about 2" to wide. My trailer is about 77" wide. Next trailer I get will be wide enough to accomodate this problem.

Ponyman, I have a busy couple of days ahead of me and I haven't had time to go through every issue in your e-mail, but two things off the top of my head:

1) The 46 backhoe is specifically set up for the machine. Even the sub-frame from a 4110 will not fit a 4115, so if is unlikely that a rented generic b/h will fit on a given tractor or be safe to use..... as in voiding the warranty.

2) Given your circumstances I think you will be very pleased with the 4115 with one word of caution. I don't know how much your loaded manure spreader weighs but if it is over 2000 pounds and your land is hilly, the tail might wag the dog sometimes. Talk to some other members on this issue like F350lawman. He hauls a lot of s#!* and his 790 is nearly the same weight and horsepower as a 4115.

Do I need a JD 42104WD or go smaller
