I have built a few buckets for the back of tractors and have only once used it to move snow. Worked ok, but the front blade that I have for my tractor works much better, same goes for using a rear blade. ON my 33D the tack has to show about 2600 when the green light comes on showing 540. at<br> about 2700 rpm the red light comes on showing 600 or over speed. Rich 55

That smock gave me another little chuckel for the day. Thankyou. Only a little puff of blue comes out<br> at start up on the 33D. There is 128 hrs.on it now. Experiencing solution sepage at one rear wheel<br> valve stem at rim hole. Will see if they'l repair itunder warrety.<br> RICH 66

Friends - After months of looking, reading your comments and talking to as many people as I can, I think I am closing in on a tractor. I wanted to get your ideas. It is a Ford 5000, 4cy. diesel, serial number B819048. There is another number on it 5M28B. They guy is putting a new loader on it for me, has put new bushings on the front end and is going through the engine right now. It has definitely seen some work and has been kept outside. It's not a pretty tractor, but seems to run well and has good rubber on it. He's asking $7400, which seems like a lot, but might be worth it with the new loader and all. Thanks in advance for any thoughts you might share.

We found a very simple solution to the problem years ago..........TOPSOIL. Try keeping a yard or so of good quality topsoil around, when you notice a hole or depression, fill it in!! A little grass seed on top and it will be gone in 3-4 weeks. After a very short time your lawn will be smooth as a golf course, as a matter of fact, that is what the golf courses do. Good luck.

I purchased a Shibaura SD 2203 recently would like any information as to dealers<br>or parts availability. I have been told this tractor is manufactured by Steiger in Japan and they also manufacture small Ford Tractors for the US. Which model ford tractor would this cross over to.<br>

My 1050 was one of the first built (1980), only has 500 actual hours on it. This is a 3 cylinder Yanmar turbocharged unit rated at 33.4 HP by Deere. As one of the early tractors, it's hydraulic system has a bottleneck.....the hydraulic filter is low volume, which causes the system to cavitate somewhat during the first few minutes of operation until the oil gets warm. Symptoms include jumpiness in the loader until the oil warms up. Later tractors had a different filter with much higher capacity which allowed oil to circulate better, especially when cold. Does anyone know if it is possible to switch the hydraulic oil manifold (part where the filter screws on) on the earlier tractors to the higher volume manifold of the later tractors? Could it be as simple as merely replacing one with the other, i.e. a bolt-in change? This is a terrific little tractor, except for the somewhat slow hydraulic system. If I could help matters a little by cutting down on the filter restriction, it would be even more terrific. Thanks in advance for any information anyone can share on this.

I believe you heard wrong. Why would Case give up 20 percent market share in a growing market? That would be stupid. NH has a great compact line which will only get better.

There have been a couple of discussions about this in the past in this board, but you may not be able to find them so I will repeat my input on the subject. The general consensus is that the Land Pride system is the best. I have not tried it because the price is prohibitive for me. There is a systme called Delta Hook which looks pretty good and can be accessed through a search engine. I use a Speeco Quick-Hitch about which there is some controversy. It is cheap (149-169 dollars) and rather crude and probablly not adaptable to all kinds of implements. I have had good luck with it on rotary cutters and dirt scoops. Depending on the brand of implements you have some modifications of their hitchs may be required. I have been able to do these my self at nominal cost so far. The lower link adapter bushings that come with the hitch may require some machining to work right but this costs about 20 dollars per implement. <br> Since purchasing the Quick-Hitch I have come across another system thats looks very interesting. Stevent Tractor in Coushatta, Lousiana (1-800-333-9143) sells something called 3PT EASY HITCH ($124 for category 1) Its worth a look and I sure would have considered it had I known about it.<br>

Loaders are expensive - especially if you don't particularly need one! New loaders tend to be $3000 or more. The 430 costs between $400 and $600 more than the 420, but worth it - I think (I've used both). The 430 doesn't lift much more weight, but reaches nearly 1 foot higher, seems to operate much more smoothly, and - at least for the ones I've used - goes on and off easier.<br>Only you can determine what you need - snow removal, digging in the dirt, pulling fenceposts, hoisting shingles up on a roof, etc., etc. I'd also suggest that you should decide what size bucket you want too, maybe a 5' for digging, 6' for mostly snow removal, etc.
