Ken, they can be made very easily by just buying a bigger set and cutting them down. It will give you additional cross chains just in case you find a need. I can find them in the listing for you, might cost more to.

Yikes I'd better check the forecast again. Maybe I should take the time to swap the box scraper for the blower.

I think the reason for instructions to maintain low ground speeds is that an engine shouldn't be lugged during its break-in. Lugging means a situation where the engine isn't capable of maintaining rpm given the load. An engine can be lugged from pto or hydraulic system use when the tractor is stationary as well.

A new engine may tend to run hot for awhile and running them hot during break in also doesn't do them any good. That's another reason to hold the speed down if it's going to be roaded during break-in. Art's description of use is what I understand as well and I think a consistent idea is don't baby them but keep an eye on the temp gauge.

I have no doubt my 125 or 3204 Cub would not have an issue with it (no doubt it would take a few hours, but either machine will remove up to 2 feet at a time). The larger picture for me is relatives & neighbors (all very close by-driving distance on either tractor)..obligations with relatives, barter systems with neighbors..a few have driveways steeper than yours..<br>

The amount of work I have accomplished with it for me is incredible. I have 2 acres, and one acres was barely mowable. I almost removed every tree, and re-graded..I have a lot more to do, just to finish clearing before spring and re-planting. It paid for itself 10 fold already. I also have commerical intentions for it very soon...<br>

Yes Long Island is a relative flat island but on the North shore(I'm located) its a little hilly. Yes PA is more hilly & more snow fall? for sure, and based on your property size, you have been undermachined for sometime. You should be using a CUT (Bx22,4110 or something similar) if not for the driveway, but your lawn at least...<br>

I also sell Cadets and they are built as good as the rest of the makes but lets take a good look at this and the answer will be in these answers. Who builds the engines? What stlye of engine lasts the longest, gas or diesel? Best warrantee? What tractor has a hydro for ease of operation? Which is the smallest in size to work or even to enter more confined areas? Should you be comparing the size to the B-7510? Which has the best hook up for the hoe? This is just a start for you to compare. The price is about the same as the BX and they are now available again so which might be the best overall investment for you?

From what I've seen it is just the B-275-414 tractor chassis not the 424/454 which is the next newer model.

Sounds like Gibson may be onto something. Larger fuses are good fixes for fuses that blow provided it's a solution backed by factory engineers. Sometimes engineering designs are more conservative than necessary. Dealers can contact their factory reps to come up with solutions for this kind of problem but they might to verify that everything on the tractor is working normally. I'd be aware that the blown 30A and 7.5A fuses may be separate problems.

Sounds like this should be the dealer's problem if the tractor is under warranty. Nothing wrong with trying to help and save transportation costs by finding minor problems yourself. Short trouble-shooting can get nightmarish and having a wiring schematic is a requirement. The basic approach is to grab, wiggle, tug and push every component and wire run until the fuse blows and then that only gives the general location of the problem. It also doesn't always work. With a repair manual, some circuits can be checked with an ohmmeter for abnormally low resistance. I must have spent a week and gotten 10 cents per hour before I found a problem on a British motorcycle. It's good not to get caught up in this type problem if you can avoid it.

Aq t fist glance I thought it might be a little high but the 3000 series were good tractors and have held their value well. Low is 10 K and high is 12K for a cream puff. From your description it seems like prime rib. Add 1.5K for the loader and 5-7 hundred for the Woods mower and 3-5 for the bottom plow. I don't see how you could go wrong. You must be near dealer list for the equipment at 10.5K.

I've had my BX22 for two months now and the thing never fails to impress me. Quite frankly, I think it would be hard to find a better value than this class of tractor. The only comparable tractor is the Massey GC2310.

It is so incredibly easy to take the BH and FEL off of the little beast, and for $16,500, I challenge you to find a new TLB with 60" MMM in a comparable price range.

On the other hand, the BX22 is a jack of most trades but a master of none. Either way, it is making my work around the house a whole lot easier. Now if I could just figure out a way to use it to finish my basement ...

On the synthetic oil question, yes you can use it. It will need some break-in time with dino-oil. There also are at least two sources of synthetic hydraulic oil.

To use any type of bagger, catcher,vacuum you need a mid mount mower. I haven't found much to beat a Trac vac if there is any thing new out there that might.
