Wildman, The quick attach works for the blower, the broom, and the blade. The broom I purchased this year. It worked great, as long as you put it at the highest setting and use the float position.

Sounds like you deal with them? I was certain no one one was on this site except JD owners. In your opinion just a guess what would one go for with the options and hours I have listed? I think a new one is probably pretty high if it compares to the JD. What would you say are the main differences - Chief said it was most like a 4600.

Second time today I've been to tractorsmart. Looks to be an interesting site. Whether or not it's the same engine speced on the site, thanks to Web for the heads up. Sure does bear checking out. I'm not sure if the phone call to Tractor Smart and the site are the same company.

I'm still studying this front snowblade thing. Can anyone tell me if you need to remove any loader brackets to install the JD snowblade? Also there seems to be an abundance of 300-400 lawntractor snowblades around here anyone know if they could be adapted to work?

I am considering buying a snow blower for my New Holland 35 hp tractor. My New Holland dealer is suggesting that I buy a JRW snow blower which is manufactured in Canada. I am not familiar with this brand. Could someone give me their evaluation of the blowers that are made by this company? Thx for any help.

Ah, the screen/strainer. Yes, spend a couple of minuites and take it out to clean it. I used carb cleaner and the air hose to clean mine. If your transmission is shredding parts the strainer is a good place to catch the problem before it becomes a $$$$ nightmare.

The monkey, feeling a bit hungry, picks up a single peanut from the bowl
on the bar, sticks it where 'the sun don't shine' and puts it in his
mouth. The bartender sees this and says to the monkey's owner

"You know that monkey of your is really disgusting, look what he is
doing with those peanuts! I have customers who want to eat those
peanuts!"

To which the monkey's owner replies

"Yes, but my monkey doesn't eat anything anymore without measuring it
first!"

Well, it's sort of funny. My sphincter alarm never did go off! I think that's because things happened so slowly and I had time to work through the whole thing in my mind. It probably took 5 seconds to tip all the way over, so I had time to think about hanging onto the wheel and riding it out. First the ground started sliding to the left, taking the tractor with it. At that point I was thinking how to get out of the situation without making it worse. As the tractor started tipping the loader arms contacted a small tree which slowed the rollover considerably. The tree slowly got pushed over and the tractor never was completely on it's side - maybe it was 10-15 degrees tilted up when it finally came to rest. I was lucky not to be pinched between the tractor and a tree, but because that was not the case I just hung onto the wheel and went with the flow. My instincts never told me to reach out and stop the fall.

How far can it go without tilting? I dunno - I think when the ground gives way you are SOL no matter what. I generally try to go straight up and down the hills anyway. In fact the tractor never would have gotten stuck in the first place except for the fact that I found myself sideways while sliding slightly downhill and to correct the situation I turned the front wheels downhill and went forward to straighten out.

melensdad, I would not consider it a retraction as what I wrote was absolutely factual and 100% true. I stand behind it 110%. I just felt that it was water over the dam not worth the time to write it upon second thought and best left down stream.

What happens when you get into soft dirt? What is the casing diameter comparisons? Both are needed. the casing diameter is often more important in soft soil as the bars or tread height will be in the ground.

When I got my NH tractor and loader, I wanted quick attach options and a good set of forks. I opted for the industry standard quick attach plate and the forks that I got are the ones used on a NH skid steer loader. The quick attach plate option on the loader was >$300 and the forks cost $950 or so. They are very nice with shot-pin width adjustment locks and long slender forks rated beyond the loader capacity. They are easy to adjust. They do add >300# to the loader and they do cut down on the peak capacity by that amount.

I dated a Blonde girl once that looked like she had some stuff well hid away to, intellegence certainly wasn't one of them and I didn't want to spend any more time to get there after half a nite. Probably should have but I was worried about more disappointment, could have been tissue. I've seen a lot of changes in tractors and there fit and finish has improved so much in the past decade. Even the details of the instructions on the tractors have improved so much. I remember having to look at the levers as to where they went into the tractor to know what they did.

I was using my TC24D with a PHD yesterday. It has enough clearance to lift standard length auger bits with 1" to spare over level ground. The neighbors BX won't do that. As for 12" bits, they shake the tractor pretty good when digging into clay!!! I usually use a 9" but for tree planting I use a 12". I have very heavy clay soil but no stones.

The TC24D is a totally different class of tractor than the BX series Kubota. For an accurate compact tractor comparison, compare a Kubota 7800 to the New Holland TC24D. If you want to stay with a mini-tractor, compare the BX to a Massey Ferguson GC2300 or to the NEW sub-compact from New Holland called the TZ24D.

Been using that method of lawn raking for years, too much of it to try and bag or vacuum. Only problem I have is due to the chute direction it is necessary to continue in one direction,lots of backing. I don't know about the Deere 72" but the 5' I had along with the NH and Kubota don't blow very well backing up. Usually end up going over the area in reverse and forward as well to bring them to the final destination (woods).
