I have a new Kubota 2710 and would be glad to share my experience. I bought the small sized tractor, larger than the normal lawn tractor or garden tractor with Front Loader, 5' Shredder, and 5' Box. In three weeks of infrequent use, clearing heavy brush and mowing/shredding three acres of 4-5' tall heavy weeds, I have bent beyond repair the Stabilizer arms. They were designed too light weight for the capabilities of the model, in my opinion. Local dealer is trying to warranty replace them now, but the same thing will happen within a very short time and then what? In less than 7 hours of use, these bent so severely that implements cannot be dropped or connected as that is the primary method of opening the hitch arms. It has been taking me 30-45 minutes of a lot of effort to drop or connect the different attachments for the 3-point. The front loader has worked great, even with no water in the tires. However, while it is in the shop for the Stabilizer arms, dealer is going to water the tires, so I am anxious to see how much better it will work with a little more weight. Also kinda of a gas-hog. I have used about 6 gallons of fuel in 7 hours. Is that normal?

Paul,<br>Tried putting the 90 degree fittings up yesterday afternoon. As a matter of fact, this is the direction they were in when I first bought the tractor. In this position, the hoses work their way over to the right and rub on the TOP of the tire. I guess this is why the extra ties are required. The 420 manual states that only the 870 tractor should use the 90 degree fittings. The picture is the manual shows straight fittings. It seems to me, if the 90's were removed that straight fittings would work MUCH better. <br>

Yanmar 7000 specs do appear to match up to a 1650 JD specs. The JD was sold from 84 - 88 and by my records about 2500 of the tractors were sold under the JD name. If the tractor is nice low hours, that is a alot of HP for the price. JD listed the tractor @ about 60 HP. Due to low production and most JD dealers feelings for grey market tractors I wouldn't count on a lot of help from them.

During the first 40-45 hours of operation, I also operated the tractor at varying speeds in the 50%-90% throttle range. Due to the drought here in the Midwest, I have not mowed my 5 acres since the end of June. The last 20 hours have been no load, low RPM operating a log splitter. This type of operation should not be a death sentence for a brand new machine. The dealer picked the tractor up this morning and I cant wait to hear what they think is wrong. I have a feeling they will tell me that I didn't break it in properly and there is nothing they can do. Next stop - New Holland customer service and my lawyer. Thanks to all that have replied!

Ok, we forgive you. But your last posting here had many spelling errors. I find it kind of funny that as you are saying please proof read what you are posting.. you didn't proof read your last statement.. you too have many spelling & grammar errors... nobody is perfect.. I am definatly not perfect.. I don't care how people type.. and I don't care how they spell.. if they are trying their best, and learning something that eventually will become familiar with them.. then I give them credit.. and as long as they can get their point across to me, and everyone else, and possibly help me with a tractor situation.. Well, then that is all I think everybody else cares about.. I don't knock anybody who is trying their best at helping other people solve problems with their $25,000.00 or more Machines.. so we forgive you.. but just keep that in mind.. we are all here to help and post our opinions and answers.. but we are not here to offend.

I need to know the best method for using a landscape rake to prep ground for a lawn. When we try to use it, we get a big pile of dirt that the rake pulls up and it tends to leave the rocks and sticks behind. Any advice would be welcome. I also plan to use it to prepare five acres for pasture. It is currently brusch and woods.

The International 444 was built prior to 1977. A 485 Mahindra 1998 is very close.<br>It sounds like you have a O-Ring blown on your lift piston. The fact that with the tractor shut off and the lift goes down is one thing that makes me feel that this is your problem.<br>

The only thing that I can say about filters is that you get what you pay for and there are a lot of companies making filters that are will-fit and they are not always up to the specs called for by the company who made the tractor.<br>PAY ME NOW OR PAY ME LATER!<br>Ed

I'm still waiting for delivery of my 2710 to see what kind of hydraulic block it has for the loader, and to measure the top link, determine a suitable place to mount remote quick couplers, etc. and waiting to see what Affordable Equipment has in the way of material to do this job.
