Hope I'm posting in the right place, this is my first time... I have a 14 month old NH 3010S that has started leaking fuel from the tank. It appears to be coming from behind the bands that secure the tank. The only way I see this happening is if the bands rubbed a hole in the tank. Before I start ripping things apart has anyone heard of this problem or have any ideas?<br>

Using a leaf blower is a great idea! I've got an old homelite that I haven't needed for a few years. I'll have to get it running again now that it has a renewed purpose.

Just moments ago I checked my e-Mail and got a notice of a cumulative patch under a very official looking Microsoft banner.

It didn't get very far because my Norton virus scan caught it and slammed it. Thanks for the heads up!

I think you will find most bush hog manufactures recommend the front be 1 to 2 inches lower than the back but I still installed a guard on my ROPS

Don't know if this will help any, but if you have New Holland dealer nearby you might take your belt there to see if they can match it up. The NH compact tractors are made by Shibaura.

A friend wants to sell me his 54" MMM off his JD455 for my new 2210. It looks the same as the 54C listed for the 2210. Does anyone know if it's compatible??<br>

Also, I had a nieghbor who is a crackerjack welder build a set of clamp on bucket forks and a single blade ripper for the 3PH. The ripper does stumps in grand style. It also loosens soil for tilling down to 14" below grade. I live on a glacial moraine full of large rocks and digging by hand is out of the question.<br>

The forks are fabricated from 1/4" thick 3x5" steel tubing. I copied the Rankin style forks.<br>

Lastly, I've order a pair of work lights for the ROPS. There's a single, 2 pronged wire/plug hanging out the back from under the fender lip. What's that for?? I'm guessing it may be a 12v source off the lighting. Thanks for any info on the above.<br>

BTW...the 2210 has exceeded my expectations. My only regret is not having one 20 years ago.

I just looked in the YM155D Parts Manual, Yanmar made two different gears for 1st/rev. If your s/n is before 51000, then it calls for part no. 194200-25530.

Cliff this was something that got covered up and forgotten. This will happen less as we have a new box to catch posts. We have had some discussion on this you need to search the posts. I believe Wix and NAPA were mentioned but you need to check the postings.

An intersting string of events here. I have also lost a lynch pin and hunted for 2+ hours looking for all of the spacers.

Since then I have safety wired all of the pins on the wheels. just makes 4 less things I have to watch when I mow.

Here's where everything gets all scewed up, in Oklahoma anyway. Someone can go buy a $50,000 trailer and be living in it as quick as it takes to be delivered and set up. No down payment...no closing cost. Now if the same person wanted to buy a $50,000 conventional home, they would be looking at a month at least. There's the financing, appraisal, servey, abstract update, title search, title insurance, lawyer fees. There's a lot of people that can afford all of those costs.<br>

I just had a truck load of screened topsoil delivered last week (the same day the tractor stopped working). I covered it with a tarp to keep as much rain as possible off it until the tractor is returned.

My previous load of top soil wasn't screened. It was difficult to spread around, and required a lot more work raking and flattening to get into shape. I kept it covered as well while I used it over a year period)

Covering also keeps many of the weeds out of it.

My take is that there are no formal roles. A number of people are putting together data for a tractor specs page and I think that's a good thing. I also think the unanswered box is good because it had caught some questions where responses would have been good.

I've looked at the unanswereds and also found many of them don't invite responses. The original number of questions was a pretty unmanageable length and needed to be reduced or we'd end up missing things again. Shortening the length of time unanswered remained on the list might keep it to a more manageable length.

Use of terms varies. I think of ricks mostly as referring to hay or straw stacks that are shaped up well enough to cover rather than of a particular volume. Face cord often means 1/2 cord but an older use is a stack 4'x8'x 1-piece. It's the face of a cord of 4'x'8'x4'. The amount of wood depends on the thickness of the pieces.

We're all saying about the same. As far as I know about the only reason for buying a cutter that doesn't cover the tire tracks is heavy-duty cutting. Most compacts don't have the HP to run heavy-duty cutters that are as wide as the tires in heavy brush. Certainly a narrow one is going to leave some grass that's not cut well even with overlaps. That may not be a problem if the idea is to just knock down weeds in a field.

I don't think I thought through how the deck was getting dented. I was thinking it's probably be big rocks that somehow are bashing the deck during turns or something. Doesn't seem too likely and I think it's small loose rocks that are flung by the blades. Art's point is well taken. If it's loose rocks banging the deck back to shape doesn't seem like a long-term solution, and something in the operation needs to change. Maybe less concern with appearance and just not cutting as close; different cutter setup; less float on the 3ph; removing the rocks--something. Maybe the problem is having a pasture and thinking of it as a lawn. It's not good to continue to operate in a way that's going to beat up any implement in a short time.
