A friend wants to sell me his 54" MMM off his JD455 for my new 2210. It looks the same as the 54C listed for the 2210. Does anyone know if it's compatible??
Also, I had a nieghbor who is a crackerjack welder build a set of clamp on bucket forks and a single blade ripper for the 3PH. The ripper does stumps in grand style. It also loosens soil for tilling down to 14" below grade. I live on a glacial moraine full of large rocks and digging by hand is out of the question.
The forks are fabricated from 1/4" thick 3x5" steel tubing. I copied the Rankin style forks.
Lastly, I've order a pair of work lights for the ROPS. There's a single, 2 pronged wire/plug hanging out the back from under the fender lip. What's that for?? I'm guessing it may be a 12v source off the lighting. Thanks for any info on the above.
BTW...the 2210 has exceeded my expectations. My only regret is not having one 20 years ago.

Often the deck pans themselves are the same but for a little weldment here or there. The problem would be the connecting linkage to the tractor. I would believe that to be different although I do not have the knowledge to say definitly. ....

If there are no definite answers about MMM compatibility, I'd try mounting it on your tractor before buying it. MMM frames are fairly specific to a tractor, and MMM's that are compatible with a loader are even more specific to a tractor and loader model. There'd be a good chance that even if the MMM goes on both tractors it may work with a loader on one tractor but not on the other. A lot of people do have to take off their loader to use a MMM because there often is nothing available that works together. ....

As it turns out, the JD455 54" MMM is identical as far as the attach points go to the 54C deck. I got the lift attachments for it for the 2210 and it hooked right up. BUT..the front "yoke" was different and not included with the lift attachments. I ordered the yoke for the 2210 and that should do it...just in time for the last mowing for me in Alaska and the first mowing for the new 2210. ....
