A local farm supply dealer I spoke with today carrys a phd called a worksaver for 450.00 plus 75.00 for the auger. He said they have been selling them for fifteen years and have had a good track record with them. Has anyone heard of them and how well they perform and hold up? Eric

I've got a Bodozer BG-5 grapple from borgford on my 430 loader. It attaches using the standard JD quick connect bucket mechanism. You need a 3rd SCV to operate it. Check out my pics and this link. I'm very pleased with it, it's built like a tank.

I think you would be happier with a sprayer without wheels and mounted on the tractor- you will have much more mobility. The simplest approach is to strap it on the hood and hook it to the battery with alligator clips. Another option is to mount it on a carry-all or pallet. It could be powered by the tractor's electrical system or a separate battery (a garden tractor battery will last a long time).

Lawman, my neighbor is well-connected in the community. Somehow, she gets away with burning leaves and brush in the road. She drags her debris out there, sets it ablaze, and directs cars around the smoldering mess. We live on a fairly busy main route (dirt road) and this baffles me. I never go down that direction, so it does'nt affect me, just baffles me.

I wonder if you've used the mower before and this is a brand new problem. The first part sounds like what happens on old tractors before live pto and before built in over-running PTO clutches. That doesn't really sound like the problem though although you might say if the tractor has live pto or an over-running clutch.

When the PTO is disengaged, I also wonder if the clutch pedal operation feels normal, if the pedal returns to the top of its travel and if it has some free play at the top? Is there any feeling that it is engaging and do the gears shift easily. Is the PTO still powered? If there is an access plate that can be removed so the clutch can be inspected, I'd do that.

Plenty of questions, but more info would be good.

It's funny how these scams pop up every few months or years. I saw this one first a few years ago and it comes around every six months or so. Somebody must be biting and it's amazing that people never seem to learn.

I believe the clutch is like the 750. The clutch is similar to one used on a cars air conditioning unit. It is mounted on the front of the crankshaft. I would wonder if it was rust on the clutch bearing surface. Certainly any oil or antifreeze on the clutch could be a problem.
Are you sure the front drive belt is not the problem I would think it would be difficult to know where the noise is coming from.

It's not a rumor, I have discussed it with several dealers.

It will be called the TC33DA and the loader will be the 14LA. The weak point on the current TC33D is the axle, which prevents it from having a higher lift loader. The new TC33DA will have a beefier axle that will be able to handle the additional load of the 14LA. No one knows what the final specs will be on the 14LA. However, most people assume it will be similar to the JD 430 or Kubota LA503.

The TC33DA will also have the new style of vertical headlights. Everything else should be the same. The current TC33D will not be able to accept the 14LA because the front axle is not rated for it.

The release date is widely rumored. I think the 14LA is due for shipment this fall but the TC33DA is due in January. However, given all the new NH products due out, it will probably be closer to the spring/summer of 2004.

If you can afford to wait, you should.

I have a 360 long, 1999 year also, park your tractor on level ground, engine off, if the bubble is snow white the oil is lowm if it looks yellowie, your looking at oil. If you need oil you fill from the back, stay where you are, it is up from the bubble and to the right, I have a woods bucket on mine and I disconnect the hose and fill there, you are going to have to make an elbow to fill, I know it is bull shit, but thats what you have to do. Good luck

I recently purchased a Rhino 85 backhoe , with subframe and 18" bucket for $5200.
Seemed like an excellant price and works real nice.
The draw bar and lower link arms are left on when the backhoe is installed.
Goes on and off tractor in minutes.
The subframe detaches and comes off with the backhoe which works out OK but does take up more storage space.
