I can not tighten the blades unless they are in the top position, 180 from the cutting position.
Have you seen the blade carriers that grizzly has? It is a bit like a mount for a disposible razor blade.
I have a jig/gauge to set the depth but with the springs, 1 dozen hold down nuts and the rolling of the block it is difficult to hold it while you get it tight. You tend to do it a number of times.

We take a lot of trades and even still get to see a lot of tractors. Some models seem to have this type problem and some don't. The battery location and how crowded of an area often seems to have a lot to do with it.

I guess I was not clear; I have had to deal with compressed air that is pumped through the underground tunnels and had 3" air mains full of water.
I have also set up desscicant and refrigerant dryers, nitrogen generators and step up air pumps, but most of this was for instuments or automated equipment. I did not think this pertained.
I was considering the plastic lines more of a cost and contamination solution. The majority of the contaminates in the lines are from the water and oil reacting inside the iron pipe. You can easily buy 100 ft rolls of PEX tubing and plump for air with only a few fittings and connections.

I firmly believe that people should be compensated in proportion to their value to me, last year he proved invaluable, it was the least I could do. He was not the only one heavily bonused, if not for them I wouldn't have had a company to come home from the hospital to. There was NO hesitation on their part, they just pitched in and ran with it, so much so that they actually achieved a 10% increase in profits.

This winter, with my doctors & good lady's permission I might add, the entire senior staff is going to the Bahamas for two weeks for a 'Management Retreat' nudge, nudge, wink, wink ;->

Mark, I think you mis-understood my statement. What I was trying to say is that they SHOULD have an idle-control system, but they do NOT have it.

My big excavator is equipped with this function, but in that case it is purely functional, you don't want to leave a large engine running flat out while you wait for a truck to back up so you can fill it. In a small machine like this it is purely a nicety, releasing the controls would cause the machine to idle down so you talk over it, for example, or pick up the rev.'s automatically to match power output to the task at hand, in topsoil full power may not be necessary, in clay it would be. A simple pressure sensing solenoid is all that would be required, a drop in pressure would result in an increase in RPM's.

Tom, the reasoning for the seemingly upside-down arrangement of the cylinders may have more to do with safety than anything else. A certain size rod diameter is required for strength, but if the cylinder were turned around, it may generate more power than the rest of the design were able to safely handle and damage to the rest of the equipment might result from exceeding the design specifications.

Thank you Murf! I could see doing it to gain a higher gear but not a lower. I've taken that model Cadet and puled 15000lb tractors into the shop just to watch customers eyes and expressions! What more should a person be able to do with 1000lbs of tractor.

I know very little about New Holland tractors. However, I do know that if a manufacturer sets up a FEL for lower pressure and less lift capacity, they are trying to protect something on the tractor.

It would be a real safe bet that a new and more powerful loader will not retrofit to an older model.

They can turn up the juice now on the present loader and have chosen not to do so.

I would suggest you find a grey-market asian unit importer, most of them have a really good selection of implements, and usually at a low price as a lost leader to help sell tractors.

Also look around the local farm dealers in your area, many of them get oddball stuff in that would love to get rid of.

A 3pth back blade can also be adapted pretty easily to go on the front of a unit, I've done several over the years for friends.

Yes, a "stand-a-lone" 12V battery on that sprayer will last you a couple of hours. But I'd recommend hooking up a battery charger right after you finish so it'll be charged for the next time you use it.

Also, check with Norther Tools at 800-533-5545 for a tow behind sprayer. a 26 gal with boom sells for $289. A 16 gal with sprayer and boom for $249.

BTW tapping in to your tractor's 12v system takes two wires, hot and ground. With the "blade" male/female type connectors makes connections easy. Good luck.

Tom I took an auto coarse at Morrisville college nearby here after high school. When I finished my number was 61 so my new employer was uncle sam. Got back looked under the hoods and thought Italians took over the auto engine development as there was nothing but spagetti covering engines. I had bought my first car at 11, it was an old hot rod that even was featured in a car magizne. Needed wireing and fuel system work which I did. I was really disappointed to find a hole in the piston and a couple of bent valves and a few other parts that were bad so I sold it to a hot rodder who fixed the engine and had a blast. I didn't have the funds to go any further at the time on it probably a good thing.

I have had my 750 for about 8 years and I paid $3750 for it. I think they are about 5-6K now. It has no sub frame and it has it's own PTO pump. (Can you say more flow?)With no subframe, you keep the check chains tight and lower the 3-pt hitch all the way down, and leave it there. I have dug several trenches of 300' ft or more, and it's great for picking rocks. I have no shortage of granite stones in my part of VT, and I get tired of polishing them with my mower blades!! If you want something more substanial, get a track-hoe.

I think these are about 13,500.00 to 15,000.00 new,Im looking at a 1428 with back heo and front loader and box scrape for 19,800.00 new so i would say that one is about or close to 15,000.oo because the kioti is around that also hope this helps you out

I am in the same boat as you. Small grass cutting and yard care business. I have a John Deere F525 and I cut without the guard installed. I bought the machine this way but I would not use it if it was installed. The grass throw pattern is much more dispursed and neat looking without it. With the guard installed and down, it causes the grass to be clumped up and messy looking. The Gatorblades and MegMow blades are supposed to reduce this if not eliminate it, but I am not paying their prices for blades when I have blades that get the job done with out the guard. Mind you I am VERY careful around people and cars and shut the mower down if there is a possibility of hitting anyone or a car on the road. Common sense and care must apply.

Another thought on rentals, some times they are rented to a place over a long peiod of time. I'm refering to a rental that might be like a month or two or maybe for the summer. These are normally nice units that have the same operators and have a good Knowledgeable facility to service the unit. Just a potential for a good rental unit.
