I believe the L3300 manufactured from 1997 to 1998. Here are the specs:

This is for the L3300DT 4WD

Being that it is a rental unit. I would be EXTREMELY warey of this tractor. I would think this unlikely but if you can take it somewhere to have a 50 service done on it or do it yourself; this will tell you volumes about this tractor. If it has recently been serviced, I would pass. (might be trying to hide something)

Normally the tractor would be worth around $11,500 or there abouts. In this case since it is a rental......... I would not pay over $7500 for the entire shootin' match. Even then you are taking a HUGE risk in that if this tractor has been abused; (and you can bet it has) it could end up costing you thousands to repair right. This is not to say that this tractor is not in great condition as it may be. If this tractor is in good shape; it would make economic sense for the owner to continue to keep it in service and earn rental money. At a certain point, rental businesses move this type of equipment out because it starts to cost them too much money in maintenance and repair costs. Better him than you. Just remember to let the buyer beware. Also consider closely what condition the impliments are in; same thing applies to them.

Chief, I have the hibernator in mine as well. I happen to have a voltmeter that records the highest voltage measured. Just for curiosity, next time I take the tractor out I'll hook that voltmeter up and see what kind of voltage the charging system is putting out.

Finding info. on these things is like pulling teeth. Don't know much about these. Personally I would think twice about a tractor such as thing unless you have a special circumstances use for it. Once you buy this tractor, my feeling is that you will be stuck with it for a long time should you not like it later. On the other hand it may be just what you need. I would carefully research parts & maintenance support. By the pictures shown, this unit does not appear to be all that heavy or heavy built. Makes me wonder how it would perform traction wise and on slopes. (no ROPS) Does not look like you will be able to use standard 3 pt. hitch equipment either.

I used 12 foot sidewalls and steel trusses on 10 foot centers. I have enough height for a lot and have a little over the bathroom area, but do not have a gambrel roof design. My barn is 42 x 60 though.
I used a standard barn truss used in the chicken barns, which are designed for a post barn. There are a number of manufactures in AL.

I hear ya with those blasted funnels! I had one tip over on me as I turned my back for just a second with nearly a gallon of Hyguard in it. It sat there fine for a long time and waited for me to turn my back. I need sound proof walls for the garage. ;-)

Tractor hydraulic oil can be purchased from box stores and all sorts of places nowadays and most of it is fairly universal. I have a long run to my dealer as well and I mix and match oils. You might check with the dealer to ensure that mixing and matching is acceptable and won't compromise the warranty.

Most times air in open centered tractor hydraulic systems is just pushed on through to the reservoir where it bubbles out of the oil before it is pumped again. Some times cycling cylinders is needed. Cycling is just moving a cylinder each way to the limits of its travel and holding the valve open for a few seconds. You should hear a pressure relief valve open, which is a good sound to recognize. You might describe the cylinder free-travel to your dealer. I'm guessing that it's normal.

Chief, yours is easy! Put it in four wheel drive!!! I wouldn't add any more weight then you have, it will take more power to move it in the future and naturally burn more fuel. For all the other things you do, do you need the weight, if not just use four wheel drive!

You might want to do a price comparison between a front blade and a loader with a blade accessory. If the price difference weren't too much, it'd give you a bucket that probably would be useful for lighter work and especially for stuff that needs to be lifted high. A 3ph scoop doesn't lift very high. I do a fair bit of loader work in 2wd myself. The PS on my Ford isn't much better than manual steering. A heavy implement on the 3ph lightens steering and increases rear wheel traction.

I don't know what's available in blade replacements for loader buckets. I have a moderate priced Allied loader myself but haven't seen accessory kits for them on their web site. I guess a good blade would need hydraulics for lift, angle and tilt, which could be run from a three-spool valve. A loader only takes two hydraulic circuits but the third could provide a rear outlet.

Don't know, such a thing could be a pretty good setup but depending on the price compared to a front blade only I guess. You'd still likely want a 3ph scoop for heavy work.

Sears has a tow behind Sprayer, 15 gal, 35PSI, for $260. I would like to tow this behind my NH TC30. However it would take some wiring to get back there.

I thought that maybe I could just put in a 12v Battery (maybe deep cycle or something) and run the sprayer off of it. I do not have a lot of property that I would do - just the fence rows so maybe it would be a two hour job. I don't know how big the pump is but I was wondering if any of you knew anything and if a 12V battery would give me a couple of hours.

Glen, I'll catch it at work in the morning. The breakes begin at a dozen and go up. It doesn't have to be one type filter it can be and normally is a mixed assortment of air engine and hydraulic. Sorry about the Marlboro's, I was stunned too!

If your dealer is advocating shortcuts I'd find a new dealer. Seriously. The first change is very, very important. There are likely metal shavings left over from the manufacturing process and metal particles from break-in that NEED to be removed from the system. Follow the manufacturers recommendation and you should be fine.

I do a 1/4 mile of drive plus the parking areas, some is gravel and some is blacktop. I like my back blade to move snow b4 freeze up. I turn it around backwards so the cutting edge does not bite in and I scuff the snow off at an angle. You can pull alot of snow away from things then blow it.

I have turfs and last year was the first time in 3 years I needed to put chains on. We had a lot of snow!

I now am back to doing a quick clean outs in the am with back blade then when enough is windrowed I blow it.

Hopefully we get lots this year and my first weapon of choice will be the blower. I'm looking forward to a long hard winter...

There are a lot of things that can affect your potential happiness with asphalt paving. I have had things like motorcycles fall over on asphalt because the kickstand sinks in to the soft surface. I have also experienced similar things like the comments about "ruts" and so forth. Heavy items like engines seem to "set" into the asphalt surface. Asphalt does not seem to do this permanent deformation when you simply drive over it, but sustained loads at various temperatures seem to cause asphalt to flow.

I am not an expert on asphalt, but I use concrete in all of my buildings. There may be a way to make asphalt work, but I am not willing to run those experiments with my money.

I have a wireless palm pilot, but I pretty much only use it for changing travel plans and doing some limited email when I am traveling. It stays in the charger when I am at my office.

My cell phone will do internet, but I generally find that it is more useful to connect the cell phone to the laptop to do anything serious. It is hard for me to imagine that I would access CTB on the cellphone, because "tapping" in an email on phone keys is a pain and very slow. The other negative is cost. The only time that I am not near a computer almost continuously is when I travel and then roaming and per-minute charges for cellphone usage add up.

Last year, I burned up a Craftsman circular saw and took it down to the service center to get my "Craftsman" warranty replacement. Unfortunately the warranty that is so good on the hand tools does not apply to electrical or power tools. The "repair" cost was as much as a new saw at many of the discount places.

I like good tools and I decided to buy a Milwaukee circular saw with magnesium base since I use a circular saw quite a bit. It is more powerful and lighter than the old craftsman saw and finished the job that burned up the Craftsman. I got quite a bit of good service out of the Craftsman saw, so this was not an "expensive lesson," but I will not buy another Craftsman tool that has a motor.

Adobe bricks that are used for houses around here are made of pretty much the same soil. It is almost as hard as concrete when compacted and baked in our desert sun.

Jeff, you are welcome to come to my house and see if you can do better. I have a few hundred feet of trench to put in next month. Let me know what day works best for you.

I have a 55gal. Demco 3 point unit. It came with a spray wand 12 foot spray boom and 4 roller PTO pump. I paid about $450.00 for it and would buy again if I needed to replace it.
