I think that was the large blow fies that they released in the north. These are identical in shape and coloration to a regular horse fly except the wings tend to be a little darker and they are large enough to strip a large chunk of flesh from your hide, double to triple the size of a large horse fly.

I guess the point I was getting at is that cross referencing a filter that fits may not be the same spec filter with respect to the job it does. If another brand is designed for and meets the spec. for the use that the OEM filter does. You should be fine. Sorry, guess I should have been more clear on that. The same applys with the oil used as well. If it has been tested and meets or exceeds the OEM spec. you should be fine.

I think you will find that turfs and weights will be the most effective combination for plowing snow with a compact tractor.

My limited experience has shown that fluid in the tires is more effective for ballast and stability than it is for adding traction.

Adding weight to the rims (wheel weights) or the rear frame of the tractor is far more effective at improving traction.

I saw a significant increase in traction on my 4100 when I went from 120 pounds of fluid in each tire to 100 pounds of wheel weights on each rim.

The D200 Wheel Horse is a big unit and it is a gear drive unit. The CAdet has the ability to move at any ground speed you chose at any throttle position.

Does the dealership offer a free 50 hour service? Anything extra? Maybe to ask them if it is there best price, before you go out and shop other places.

Maybe if I had a PDA I'd write less. I'll likely never get into newer tech stuff. I don't travel much--probably because I live in a place where other people want to come to. There's no digital cell service here or high-speed net access so the fancy new stuff doesn't work. My cell phone came before stupid.

For a low tech traveling solution, most public libraries now have no charge public Internet stations. I am a board member of what might be the smallest public library in N.A. We have a public Internet station, and if we can any library can. People drop by from area campgrounds to keep up with their net stuff and you don't have to be a resident of the Township. If you're in the country, chances are that there's a nearby library that offers similar services.

I have an asphalt floored barn. Make sure your base is solid and not prone to any erosion. The previous owner who asphalted my barn did not do a good job and I have had to patch several areas after mini-collapses. Not a big deal but a nuisance.

15W-40 is pretty thick when cold and intially starting up. Is that kind of pressure in my Cummins when I start it first start of the day too. After it warms up; it settles down to around 40 psi. 35 - 40 psi I would think is well within limits. Sounds like you may have found your problem.

Go to Home Depot. They have a Generac 7000 watt/12000 surge generator with electric start, pressured oil 14 hp engine, idle control, auto voltage regulator, super silent muffler and a wheeled carriage for 1100 bucks.

Just my two cents. I have a 1990 B6200 w/ 60"MMM that I mow three acres of field with twice weekly. That tractor will mow all day long without a hint of being underpowered. I even mow my neighbors field which includes grass and weeds up to the height of the tractor. Naturally, I do it in low gear to keep the blade speed high compared to ground speed, but it's quite effective on those types of jobs. Power is a relative term-but I wouldn't sell the 3 cylinder diesel short. I like my 6200, which is essentially the 7300 with a little less horsepower.I also maintain my 100' gravel driveway with a rear blade. Sorry, but I can't make a comment about FEL since I don't have one. But for mowing, snow removal and landscape work, I would give the 7300 a thumbs up. Sure, the new 7500 with extra HP is nice, but it's still basically the same frame size which is just as important as HP. The money you save buying the 7300 can be used to rent a large tractor for those "one time only" jobs, plus enough cash left over to buy a nice rear tiller.
