Hi Chuck,<br>There seems to be a problem with my 4400 hst. my friend has a 4300 hst and has had not one problem. I mow with a finish mower on well kept lawns. I really don't like the tire scuff when turning that is as the dealer puts it

I took delivery in october for machine i ordered in june
When I had about 20 hrs. on it the pto locked up when I stood up to check the saftey interlock in the seat.and the tractor wouldn't even start or move. That took over a month to get fixed because there were no parts available. Then at 40 hrs it had some prblems with the hydralic pump that cause the bucket to run slow (5 days in shop). then at 60 hrs the 3pt went haywire (2 weeks in shop).
All in all I hope my experience is unique. I have had 2 other Deere compacts (755 1000+hrs and 955 700+hrs, 955 i still own) i never had one problem with them.
I am not really hard on my machinery, I take very good care of them. But this is really begining to get me down. This tractor is good when it works, it will dig like a Bobcat and pull like a Kenworth, when it works. If you would like to email me I will detail how the tractor is getting along now. I just checked on a TC21D with a 60

a price of $13,320.00. They also quoted me $2875.00 for the front loader.
I have not purchased the tractor yet, I am doing the same as the others, I am
comparing JD, Kubota, and NH. As well, I found that for the money, NH offers
the most options for a smaller price. These prices were form a dealer around the

the long drain interval isnt an option when you have a tractor due to dusty environs and<br>the loading up of the oil with conataminants. i use mobil 1 but i think anyone that goes 25k <br>before removing all that dirty oil is leaning too heavily on the side of false economy. just a view not <br>facts

I LIVE IN CONNECTICUT AND PLAN ON BUYING A B2710 WITH A FRONT END LOADER AND AG TIRES.I SEE CURTIS MAKES A LOADER BLADE THAT YOU CAN PUT ON IN PLACE OF THE BUCKET. HOW WELL DO THESE WORK? I HAVE A 750' GRAVEL DRIVEWAY. DOES A REAR BLADE WORK BETTER? ANY THOUGHTS WOULD BE HELPFUL.

Couldn't agree more with Roger L,<br>I would use the loader for a year or so, before thinking about a snowblower.<br>Obviously,a loader may not be as good as a snowblower, but is it worth the <br>extra money? Not to mention the extra space and Maintainance required. I would <br>also recommend using the Lighter grade oil, as specified in your manual. <br>15-40 might be a little heavy for the long cold nights of Minnesota. As far as<br>a block heater, if you need it first thing in the morning, plug it into a heavy <br>duty timer, rather than leaving it on all night. Secondly, buy winterized <br>Diesel fuel, or blend it with Kero.(If necessary, down to a 60/40 ratio,or so I've been told).<br>Never had to blend fuel here in Eastern.PA. The winterized fuel works fine.<br>You'll never look back at a gasoline engine, after seeing the performance and<br>fuel economy of a Diesel:)

Good Point!<br>I use clean motor oil, as spec'd in the manual. Not as convenient as a spray,<br>but very in-expensive, with no threat of deterioration. Adding to that, I had <br>a special chain spray/lube that was real good at pitting my aluminum wheels on my<br>Quad, I would assume it could do the same to paint.

The YM276 does not have live pto, but can be operated like it has one. The transmission can be shifted without clutching. The gears are shifted by hydraulically activated clutches.

The left pedal is a clutch. You must engage it to turn the PTO on and when switching ranges on the transmission. For normal operation in a single speed range without the PTO, you never use it. Well you do actually have to push the clutch in to start the thing....

Darned if I know! I'm not sure that they divide their line into compact vs<br>full size tractors. Like the US marketing and manufacturing people do. The<br>tractors just keep getting larger through the range, but have similar features.<br>There is a 35 HP for sale now in Wyoming. A guy in SC was selling a late model<br>grey market 40 something HP recently. This Spring I talked on the phone to a<br>well known grey market importer down South who said that he had imported Yanmars<br>that were close to 100 HP.<br> The largest compact they made when they were importing to the US was the <br>336D. I believe the last year was 1989. This was 33 HP 3 cyl. 12 speed forward,<br>4 reverse power shift with creeper gears. Power steering was integral, not an<br>add on. To the best of my knowledge, these tractors are made by the DAEDONG INDUSTRIAL<br>CO. of Seoul , Korea, following a joint venture arrangement with Kubota. They are probably an older Kubota design, and many of the kubota parts fit straight in.Theoretically the quality should be the same as Kubota.<br>We have experience with Daedong engines in Australia and generally had good results. Quality control at factory level has been a bit pathchy, with bolts<br>left loose, metal in injectors and other minor problems occuring over the past 5 years. I think with care and common sense, they should perform pretty reliably

Hey Bob,<br>look @ KING KUTTER. all I-beam framed, heavy duty tail wheel & stump jumper standard. Out weighs anything in its class. largest selection of sizes. Excellent price and parts support. I think woods cutters are overrated,<br>underbuilt, and overpriced. your paying for thr name & a pretty package.<br>compare the steel in the mowers & the weights.
