I have a 1630 and have not had any mjor problems with it. It was two year old in May. Farmlady is right the 25 series had some egine issues BUT the 1630 has a different engine than the 1725. I would buy another 1630 in a second! Email me with any questions.<br>thanks<br>Mark

I was told 6 weeks to get a 4100 w/hydro. This, combined with the lack of folding ROPS, led me to get a TC21D instead just a couple weeks ago.

I have an old B7100 with 2500+ hours in OR. I think it is late 70's early 80's. I have had no problem getting parts. I broke it in half last year(my fault) and called a local dealer. He made some calls and found me options for new or used. I had the parts for my tractor in 2 days delivered to my door from the east coast. I was able to split this tractor, move all my gearcase parts to the new gearbox and reassemble in about 4 hours. These are amazingly well designed for easy repairs. I was also very impressed with the condition of the moving parts after so many years of rough service. I would not hesitate to purchase another Kubota!

I'm being offered a 72

sandstone to scrape. I can't figure out if Bushhog, Gearmore mowers are better than Land Pride and if Rhino or some other name is heavier or "better". Every dealer says something different. I greatly appreciate any help. (40 hp 4wd drive Kubota) "> Implements - Is there any Real Info

As far as the tractor goes, it is an nice tractor at a honest price. If you<br>would buy these very implements it moves up to being a good price. If you know<br>a local dealer who admires this make and looks forward to providing parts<br>and service then it becomes an excellent price! Many people would not buy this<br>tractor because it is not one of the popular brands <br>with dealer support. This will affect the resale, and does require that you be<br>comfortable with routine maintenance and mechanically knowledgeable - for your<br>own peace of mind even if you are not going to do the work yourself.<br> Roger L<br>

MF is the largest selling tractor worldwide. They just don't have the marketing of compacts that Kubota, JD, etc. does. Check out the major agribusiness farms in the midwest sometime or travel overseas and you'll notice far more MFs than anything else.

I was faced with the same decision a few months ago. Both Kubota and MF dealer were excellent, but MF dealer was closer and the 1250 just seemed to be more substantial upon close examination. Dealer brought it out for trial and I bought it for right at 16k with loader. It's been a great machine--no regrets. The dealer tells me that MF is the largest farm equipment manufacturer in the world but doesn't market compact tractors too well. I've recently been to Mexico and S. Africa and seen many MFs in both countries. I'm happy with mine.

I have the same brand of 4-in-1 bucket on my Kubota L4310 HST that Steve Carver sells. I recently traded an L3600 GST in on the 4310, but I kept the bucket.<br>I wouldn't be without one, personally. I think they're great. Every time I work on a different type of project, I find new uses for it.<br>If you do get one, consider the electric valve option. It's an electric diverter valve that uses a thumb-operated pushbutton that replaces the grip on your loader joystick. When you push the button, rolling back (left on mine) closes the jaws, and dumping (right on mine) opens it. This way, you don't need two hands to operate it. When you want to pick up loose material, like mulch, you just push the button, pull the lever toward you and when the jaws start to lift the bucket a little and you need to roll back, just let go of the button momentarily. One caution: If your loader uses a regenerative dump circuit, it won't work without modification. If you need help with this, let me know. It's too complicated to go into unnecessarily, but I'll be glad to help if you need it.<br>Anyway, yes, they exist, and yes, they do work well.

If you are mowing on flat land, remove it, keep it so you can reinstall if you sell the<br>tractor later, this is what I did with the 4100 I had. I now have a 4300 folding. Richard<br>

New Holland's collection system that I am familiar has the cylinders located inside the telescoping rectangular tubes that support the box. I have seen debris get packed around a cylinder, preventing it from pivoting slightly on its barrel-end pin. This caused uneven return of the box, as you are experiencing. Disassembly & cleaning was all that was needed in the NH, if your machine's design is similar, the trouble could be also.

Check the rotation of the spindles the belt rides in. If any one of them <br>are hard to move they will have to be replaced.<br>Additionally, the spring tension is important too. Check your manual to see <br>what the spring length should be.<br>Are you cutting a clean lawn or are you running over small branches and stuff. if so, you will increase your belt wear if they get stuck and you have to manually free them. remember that the belt is still moving but the spindle is stuck so you're burning off belt life when the blade is stuck.<br>You also need to check the grease fittings on the spindles. There should be <br>one fitting on each one. Make sure the fitting isn't frozen which would <br>prevent grease from getting in thus making it tougher to turn the spindle <br>which would reduce belt life (also wears out the bearings)<br>

I thought indirect injection was quieter? Or at least thats what I was<br>told when I asked why my B5.9L Cummins was louder than a 7.3L Powerstroke.<br>I did hear that the direct Injection was more efficient and cleaner burning.
