I live near the coast of South Carolina, warmer temp that most who posted in this thread. Here cooling is the main concern. However I talked with a friend who installed both our systems on this, hold on for my dog's house. He thought my idea was great. Will be a true do it yourself closed system. Will verify some details with him again before the install but think I need horizonal lines it was either 4 or 5 feet deep to have a steady 50 something temp year round. It being a "dog" house only want to keep it at 45 or so for the winter and less than our summer heat for mid 90's to mid 100's we can have. So a steady 50 degree range should handle that.

We decided on a copper tubing made radiant coil for the floor with a cover over it that would let the temp move easy and protect the dog and pipe from direct contact. Most likely 1/2 plywood with insulation maybe below the coil. House is insulated with 2 inch thick foam on sides and ceiling.

He is a believer in the systems and says here horizonal is the way to go or as has been noted a pond of sufficient depth.

I have wondered with our heat pump why could not installed a water circulation system and using a radiator placed on top of the compressor unit why that would not save as the unit should be getting cooler air in the summer and warmer in the winter than the air temp. Of course this would only work if the fan is pulling air in the top and out the sides.

My sister and BIL in the hill country of Texas has a closed loop I am sure vertical bore and they are very pleased with it. Their temp is higher than ours and winter is often colder. Low humidity does that, the wide temp swings. He is an engineer by schooling but not work experience. He will research such to death as the saying goes or he seems to.

No doubt the grass you are trying to grow will have its height it prefers, you need to go there if possible.

One sure fire way to get weeds in a lawn is mowing it too low. Taller thicker grass will shade them and help prevent their sprouting or growing. Have your soil tested for many weeds will grow at lower ph than many grasses will. If you have County Agents there they may offer assistance with soil testing, here we have to pay less than $5 per sample and they handle the shipping and I few days we get the result back by email.

If you can share where you live and the type of soil and grass of your lawn you may get better detail recommendations.

Murf not to hijack this thread. But my tractor is over ten years old and I have no problems with how it runs. But I have black soot stains where the exhaust blows near some of the frame. My friend who owns a tractor said hey whats that? Soot. <br>

I thought a little bit of soot stains was normal. It does not smoke while running. <br>

Just like the cows standing and waiting at the barn door as evening arrives. Dogs are great at Pattern recognition. Who is the one who feeds me? Who is the one who plays with me? Who is the one who takes for me a walk? Who is the one who responds to me when I try to get their attention so I can go pee outside? Who is the one who trains me how to behave?<br>

I did further investigation on the switch to find out that I had the AC and BAT right but the other connector on glow plug start vice on the starter terminal so that was an easy fix then I heard relays and solenoids clicking no lights things were different then checked battery cables cleaned terminals Positive then Negative when I moved the negative terminal I heard relays clicking with the ignition in the on position lights came on the dash GETTING WARMER so I got my jumper cables out and disconnected the negative from the battery and put jumper on battery terminal and to chase tractor started up and ran WELL DAMN the negative cable is bad so I disconnected from chase and it was corroded got the grinder out cleaned up both ends and the chase contact point and IS RUNNING AGAIN BACK TO WORK. Thanks for some further guidance AND CHIVE ON

Not sure on the leg room between the Kubota and JD. To me it was more the design of the JD loader valve or the placement. I have been pleased with the legroom on my B2710 Kubota and was pleased with it on my brother I laws JD 3000 also.

He did not have the mid mount mower so no idea on your questions on the mower. Not sure what model or even brand right off but read recently the extra frame used either for fel or backhoes had to be removed for their mid mount mower. NOW I DO NOT Remember the brand.

Load Trail Trailers are made in Texas, the sticker that info was printed on was made in Mexico, but not the trailer, all trailer tires are made china there are none made domestically. The wheels are from china as well. There are a number of trailer components that are all made in China, jacks, couplers, and lights as well. Guy

You could make a buy a garden tool shed or cabinet. Some are tall and slender while others are short and wide. You could make the exterior match or compliment the outside of your home so it would blend.

You would want to vent the exhaust and have some sort of air input for the air cleaner. Some soffit materials are available with venting. Siding could have slits on the underside by the overlap lips.

Boral makes some artificial brick that is cemented in place. They also have some sections that can be cut to shape with a cement saw blade.

Doors could give access to the generator for starting, filling with gas, plugging in appliances. Additional doors could be used for a actual gardening or lawn tools.

It takes allot of volume to pop a large tubeless tire and seat the bead. Some use ether or starting fluid and light it. That takes guts or no brains unless you know what you are doing.

You can burn, bruise or kill yourself if you mess up.

On small tubeless lawn tractor front tires. I put a load binder around the circumference in the center and draw it down until the tire bead contacts the rim. A modest output air compressor with then pop and seat the bead. Don't over inflate? After seating, let the air back out and release the binder. The tire will still be seated. Then reinflate to desired pressure.

We don't have any Dodge trucks, strange considering a cousin owns a dealership, but still. We don't have any GM's either, although several employees and subcontractors do.

I drove a rented Ram 3500 with the big gas engine, pulled a 5,000 load on a tandem trailer just fine, but rode a LOT worse empty than our Ford F550's do. I did not like the constant shifting on anything but perfectly flat, level roads.

The interior was ok, but not great for a Laramie level trim, everything had a cheap Walmart quality feel to it.

We do have several aluminum body Fords, no issues with them in general contracting work, all got a sprayed in liner from new. Like Hogslayer, we don't drop concrete blocks into them from 6' up.

Some of our trucks have the Eco-swoosh engine, but the ones that pull trailers have the 5 liter V8 in them, same mileage as the 3.5 when hooked to any trailer.
