Thanks for the reply. Nothing in the tractor is leaking. And no rock hit the glass. I was driving down the road near my field smooth and no pot holes. You would have to see this to believe it. I will post some pictures so hopefully you can see what I am talking about.

It was working and a hose blew and not working since is my understanding. First is why did the hose blow? Do you have any idea? Could it have been defect in hose or pressure too high on the hose? Only reasons I know pressure could be too high is pressure setting is not right or relief valve not working. Not likely the new pump is pumping higher enough pressure to blow the hose is it?

It is possible when the hose blew a piece of that hose was blown into the system.

If you are sure all hoses are routed to correct fitting and you find no restriction in a hose it must be pump, valve or such issue. Guess it could be steering cylinder(s).

Possible a hose is being pinched when using the tractor?

I hooked up cylinder on my boom mower the other day and it would not work other than just a tiny bit. Started off with more movement and got less and less and I worked it. I looked and looked trying to find what was binding it. It is connected with quick disconnects and finally realized I have it hooked to two different valves. Realized it only when the other cyl that was suppose to be disconnected still worked some.

Do give full details of how it is working and hope an expert will chime in. More details the better.

back again for some help and you guys know you tractors. i am willing to tear in and try to fix my stuff unless someone tells me i should let a expert do it. <br>
heres what going on. i dont use my little tractor alot mainly for snow removal off my driveway.start it up every now and then just to make sure its alright. well tried to start it and not getting any fuel out of injection pump. traced fuel line back to tank to make sure no blockage, everything flowing fuel up to pump. i took front cover off to show gear that drives pump, looked find. i did not know governor assembly had a dip stick, pulled it out and nothing showing. i cannot find what type of fluid goes in there and how much. to make it easy for me to inspect i removed the whole unit from tractor and degreased it. the numbers on injection pump was a 9 maybe letter v (really was hard to figure out what it was) and number 6. on the governor assembly TIF250-1100TX. was going to ask the experts what i should remove to check why no fuel was pumping out. unit is still off tractor, looking for some help. this according to the guy i bought from is a 1986 ts 304a 4wd. thanks

If you had electrical circuit that was hot enough to smell think something would have shown such as blown fuse or something not working. Now could it be the alternator is clogged due to trash in the field you are cutting and it is not charging as the smell is from it? Could it even be fan belt slipping? My understanding is when battery light is on it shows system not charging or low voltage. Not the condition of the battery. Now there could be systems that check that also today.

I would also check the air filter and intake from trash in there from the mowing and also the radiator. The smell could be air blown trash from the fallow field.

One other point, if the tractor is running hot with load think the proper thing to do at least to suit JD is to remove the load and allow it to cool before shutting it down. I know my manual warns other wise about potential damage.

Just how do you know how I feel about it? My statement reflects reality, it has nothing to do with how I "feel". On the other hand, I traded my NH Boomer for a Kubota due to a plethora of warranty issues prior to that warranty expiring.

You ought to ask can it be added and if so what price. Just be sure the implement you are using it on is safe at that speed. Sprayer pumps for "me" would be the biggest benefit.

gmanwilder, first welcome to TP.

My first comment on any such purchase is where can you get parts and if need be mechanic to work on that brand in your area? I know there has been post here on where to find parts for them and also know one or two dealerships were recommended. However do check that out before you buy ANY brand.

Second is the tractor big enough for your wants and needs? I think it may be little light on the horse power for what you are wanting to do. Normally what we end up wanting to do is larger than where we began. 25 horses is about right for a 4 foot cutter and you want your cutter to be at least as wide as the outside of your rear tires so you can cut to a tree or fence or ditch. For 5 acres a 4 foot mower will be slow if you need to cut often, say once a month. You may be fine with a 5 foot finishing mower but for rough cut mower (many call them bush hogs) I would not try 5 foot.
If it were me I rather have say mid 30s in hp even to say 45 hp so I could easy run a 5 or 6 foot finish mower and a 5 foot rough cut. Now a lot of that depends on how often you are cutting and what you are cutting. Also how fast you expect to drive.
You also will want a box blade or scrape blade again at least as wide as the outside of the rear tires.

There are a few web sites you can use to find used equipment and I would suggest searching them. Ebay to me is not good. Also suggest visiting your local tractor dealers first to get idea. Good local dealer can make or break your tractor and equipment experience.

Check Craigslist also, you may find a total package for what you want as some will want to upsize, some owners has stopped due to health or such. Do try any used tractor or equipment before you buy. Then be safe and have fun. kt

If the fel is matched to the tractor by the manufacturer is it safe as long as slow steady speed is cutting the dirt to do so with the bucket?
Yes,
IF the tractor stops moving or you hear the hydraulics complain, then re evaluate.
You may have hit a rock or stump that is buried.

I have a similar issue with my dk45. So do you still not know where the 4wd solenoid is located? I had the same problem with the engine shutoff solenoid push rod getting stuck. It had been bent and I opted to get it machined locally. The technician said it was a known issue.

West Coast. - He started in parts with GM a long time before he moved on to work for himself. He didn't start with Kioti until quite late. The group that took over the bulk of the business were equally good when I went out to talk to them, but they have other lines as well so they too understand customer service.

- If you want to see where the problem lies give Kioti.com a call on one of the customer service lines and ask a simple mechanical question. I had several people that probably wouldn't know how to put oil in an engine, - although they all proved to be capable of being excellent dipsticks! ( I probably could have easily sold them some muffler bearings!)

Ok, I'm new here. Been on yesterday's tractors for a while. I have a mf 180 and tried to access the hyd filter the way described here and the cover does not come off because of the steel lines inside that come through the cover. I have the handle for the pto off that has a roll pin and the 2 lines off of the outside. Any help would be appreciated. I thought maybe was the wrong side but cannot reach into the other side. I have a crappy it book for it but hardly mentions the filter and does not say how to access it.

I went to the junkyard and pull a complete set from the back seat of a van. IT is the 2 point and is usually has the adjustable buckle. The ends usually have a bolt hole in flat metal, may have a bend to it.

Not that this will help fix your rig. At least you don't have my problem. The 4WD in my 1120 doesn't work because it came from the factory with the wrong front drive shaft (3/4 inch too short). Previous owner stripped out the yoke.
