I am looking for rebuild parts for the Shibaura LE892 engine. Also does anyone know of a replacement engine that will fit that tractor. Preferably a 3 cylinder.

Does your gator have a Kawi v-twin like my old mule? I recently had to replace the plastic cam gear on mine. If yours has the plastic one (new ones are steel), it may have skipped a tooth or stripped many teeth as happened to mine. Replacement, at least on the mule, is actually pretty easy. I would suggest pulling at least one rocker cover and checking valve movement and relationship to TDC. If the cam has stopped with valves closed on one cylinder, this can make it seem like it has compression. If the engine cranks but the valves don't go up and down, you've found your problem. If you need to change cam gear let us know.

I recently picked up a 2004 JD4310 w/power reverse (1200hrs) as a project tractor. The owner said it wouldn't start and it was weak in reverse. I fixed the starting issue, changed ALL fluids and filters, cleaned the screen intake filter, and lubricated all the clutch linkages. It works perfectly except its still weak in reverse. When I engage reverse (via power reverser or using the clutch) there's about a 5 second delay before it moves(no delay for forward). It feels like it's struggling to get into reverse. It will reverse 1st- 4th gear in range A and 1st-3rd in range B. After that it's too weak. Once it's moving in reverse it is strong(I pulled a 3000lb block of concrete). The higher the gear, the longer it takes to engage. Higher RPM's do not speed anything up.I have swapped the forward and reverse solenoid valves and transducers which didn't make any differance. The tractor isn't flashing any codes and the light does work. The only other thing is it will not disengage the 4wd but that shouldn't affect reverse and I just haven't got to trouble shoot that yet. I do have the service manual but I'm hoping someone has run across this before. Thanks in advance for any information.

Hey can you tell me how long these draft lengths are for the John deer 4000, I have a fx 32 yanmar and i'm wondering if the John deer will fit. I didn't know how hard these telescoping draft lengths were so hard to find. All the parts people I've talked to don't seem to know the length. That's all I need to know is the length shortened up on center. Thanks for your help

Youngen! Why when I was that young could climb two trees jumping back and forth between them. Wait maybe that was the monkeys tossing me between them. Oh well about same just little difference there.

It has been years since I put on set of spurs and climbed a tree, some what enjoyed the little I have done. Would not want to have to drop in sections as you talked about. Got good at tossing a light weight and strong string over a major limb and then pulling up usually a cable to wrap around the tree for pull from say 20 feet to even 30 feet height. Only had one that did not go great and that one proved the need for a heavier tow vehicle than a compact pickup with 2 wheel drive! Tree dragged it like wet doll baby.

Not sure if the 8 years difference is the more major issue or the 80 pounds as to climbing a tree. Be safe and send more pictures. kt

He had pulled a couple of pine tree stumps a couple years ago and where the roots had rotted and stumps were removed left the ground ruff. It was beating him up mowing it with his rider, so I got a chance to try the new tiller out. I made just one pass in granny low. Were on clay and it looked pretty good. I waited about 3 hrs figuring I'd let it dry and went back over to hit it again and he'd already seeded it. He was satisfied with one pass.

Common problem is the tractor end of the negative cable. Remove it completely, clean both ends with a wire brush. Then concentrate on the area where you unbolted it from the frame. Wire brush the bolt hole in the frame, right down to bare metal. Smear the cleaned area with some silicone dielectric grease, do the same with the lug end with the bolt hole. Reconnect both ends of the negative cable and try starting again.

thanks for that tip> I will try the flush first thing. IT's just a bit strange...when you turn the steering wheel all the way to the right or left it doesn't come to a stop like it used to. I have heavier hydro oil in it then called for and at the end of summer I plan to change that anyway. Here in TN is gets really hot and humid.

After setting up all winter, when I start my tractor it idles uncontrollably high, to the point I have to shut fuel off for fear of blowing motor. I assume the governor/throttle link is stuck wide open inside the pump. Any help, tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for Your Help shipert! I forgot 5 years ago I changed the generator to a GM Alternator that has it own regulator built in. It worked good except the charge lite was reverse. Maybe my alternator has gone bad!

I have an older Ferrari 85, great work horse. The front is too long for a front loader (in my opinion) and just looks way out of balance. That said, a friend has a Pasquali with a slightly shorter front end with a loader on it and it works great. no need for extra weight on the 3pt as the rest of the tractor is heavy enough to do the job. Westendorf makes a 3pt bucket called the AutoDump. lots of videos to see how it works. Fell in love with the articulated tractors when I lived in Italy and saw them in use in hill country. can go where I would be scared to take a JD, Kubota, etc.

hey folks,I've got a Kubota L2500 w/LB400 FEL my bucket has bit the dust, any advice on the best place to look for one without hocking 1st grandchild or my dog? Just heard from a buddy who said that he could build one for me (welder) but now he's gotten real proud of his work, so I'm going to look around. Any suggestions?<br>

No brand has all the best points even if built by another brand or it builds the other brand. Years ago worked for a retailer and we sold a brand that built (not heavy equipment) the same line of product for a major retailer to higher specs than their own label.

LS is not in my part of the world. I have heard of enough problems getting parts for what were very popular local labels to be gun shy on such any longer. As I say, there is a reason the name brands are name brands. Parts and service is one big reason regardless of the product or industry.

Before I would buy a brand of heavy equipment would look at the nearest dealership and think was I pleased with them. If yes now what if they closed, where is the next line of dealerships? Visit at least one of them. Parts counter people can be good sources of advice. If you can buy one lunch. Just ask about ability to get parts, what kind of time table and so forth. Or just stand back and listen to the other customers at the parts counter. Also listen if their parts people are helpful or not. One day you will need it. kt Hey if NH is built by LS their parts people know it, ask about any problems getting those parts and are the parts interchangeable across the labels. They may not know that but probably do. Again, from what I found they were only credited with the Boomer model line and not sure if all of it. No idea how good that line was. The local NH dealership was heavy into commercial and has been hurt.

I purchased the Hinomoto 394 tractor on this post with the front axle problems that was posted on this forum. After attempting to find parts with no luck I decided convert it to a 2WD and replaced the front axle with a Case axle. I have the complete front axle (bad left side reduction gears & housing) or parts for sale.
