Just noticed that the big box stores are now selling ethanol free 92 octane premix in quarts for $6.00 or $20.00 for just under a gallon (110 vs 128).

I think it is a good idea but too pricey to actually use during in season use. Probably a great way to store chainsaws and other 2 cycle gear.

The guy in the store said storing with the ethanol free premix was a better way than running dry at end of season.

That is some markup for taking out 10% ethanol.

Have to be nuts to spend that on fuel all season. That said I might be tempted if I remember at season end to store like you said. Doubt I will actually do it though.

I second run dry end of season.

Wish that had no mix version ethanol free version one for the generator too. ....
