Second the blower with a nice warm Cab it is a no brainer and takes the traction issue out of the equation, and at 6000 feet you will be getting powder only I assume.

What is the cost of foam filling the rear tires? I hadn't heard of anyone foam filling, curious about the pro's and con's. I fluid filled to lower the center of gravity on the tractor because I side mow a fairly steep slop along the drive. How much weight does the foam add?

Hello Dennis, yes I signed up for this job because it provided reasonable hours, health insurance and just enough salary to get me by. However, as you get into any job, you find they have extra projects on the side, etc etc that they would like you to do as well!

I am working a couple of extra hours a day and it is difficult to keep up with these youngsters. It is as though the keyboard is part of their body. But for the most part weekends and nights are free.

Have a 220 Steiner. finished mowing for the season and when I was leaving mowing site the deck would not raise. Checked both lift cylinders, have power steering, and hydraulic pressure. What else is there to look for? What about the lift lever manifold?

JD 4310 want come out of 4x4. I think my transmission pin is stuck or broken. Can anyone tell me how to check? The cylinder is working but the tractor will not come out of 4x4.
Have disconnected the cylinder and there is no resistance on the transmission lever. I noticed that you can pull it out about .5 inch I can move it back and forth and do fill It hitting something.

I went to Woods website and put in b106, and came up with nothing so I tried bh106 because thats the norm for woods hoe numbers and came up with nothing. The phone # for Woods ag equipment is 1-800-319-6637, you can call and ask them.

It's rubber and no ball bearings anywhere. I found out it's located in the MFWD Final Drive, page 626 in the 4310 Tech Manual, the letter I, seal.

Years ago I helped a friend replace a light fixture as it was bad. How od you know, none of the light bulbs work. Guess what, the bulbs were all bad. When we got through the new fixture did not work using those bulbs to which I ask, when did the light stop working of the owner to which she said, when the last bulb stopped. Learn do the simple wear items test first.

I think that JD1050 or JD1070 motor parts are the same as this tractor. I know the turbo from JD fits the FX42D

That sure is the way it comes out. Dont't know if that is a boxer engine thing or not.

The drain bolt is mounted on an angle so it shoots out to the side instead of down. But the stuff is insanely thin like water.

Got the engine pulled away from the rest of the tractor and now on the engine stand. No issues with separating from the tranny. The clutch disc was not rusted to the shaft.:) Now to begin disassembly of the engine and find out what repairs are needed. Had to modify my engine stand mounting hardware a little after I read that the crank has to come out the rear of the engine. I have a pic that I hope shows up in this post.

Tractor is stuck in 4x4. Yes there is power to the solenoid. What I want to try.<br>
Swap the rear pto with the 4x4 solenoid to see if it is the solenoid that is bad. The 4x4 solenoid does not click, no sound, it is magnitized. <br>
Cant take 4x4 solenoid off because there is a part of the transmission housing right above the solenoid nut. So I think the block that the solenoids are on has to come off. My questions, When I take the 4 bolts off to remove the block from transmission housing, is fluid going to pore out of the transmission housing. I know what is in the block will come out. Thanks for help. <br>
Update. I got solenoid stem out some, put it back in and it has started working.<br>
Next problem.<br>
It still want come out of 4x4. The rod of the cilender on the left side of the transmission housing is moving like it should. What could be wrong??<br>
Maybe the rod is not moving out enough.<br>
Is there an ajustment for it, or is something broken inside?<br>
I have jacked intire tractor up and turned tires by hand and with tractor transmission engaged.<br>
