The oil came out so fast, the velocity of it hitting my hand and its lightness made it splash all over the place. The oil pan / container I have been using for years was sorely inadequate as the drain whole was too small to take the volume of oil that was coming out and risked over flowing. Probably get a plan old dispan for the next change.

Drain and refill it with Kubota's UDT. Use the tractor for a few hours and call the dealer. The bearing is on a constant run shaft for it to make noise all the time. The drive train is covered for three years.

I'm not sure about your specific problem, but you need to get the service manual for the 6522. If you ever have someone work on it, they will need it.
I have a 6522 I bought used back in 2001. I really haven't had any major problems with it, but have had to change out some electrical parts.

New Holland has had a few issues with the switches on the TC tractors. They are not cheap unfortunately.

Hi having just purchased a 1995 Honda 6522 with cutting deck and not having a clue about them I thought I'd best ask for some help and advice of which any would be greatly appreciated. Firstly its a bit strange at going into gear as once selected it somtimes dosent move and none of the hydraulics seem to be working correctly which lead me to think it may be low on hydraulic and transition fluid but working out how to check or top it up is a mystery???? I have searched everywhere and can't find or work it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated 👍

I hooked the hoe up and got the length measurement for the rigid toplink. I got it cut and drilled the 13/16 hole. It's almost scarey when everything fits right. Got it all hooked up and it's good to go.

do you have a good welder shop in town ? or a good machine shop talk with them and show them pics if you can to see if they can weld the block I have had an aluminum block welded up have been running it now for 18 years with no leak it cracked between 2 freeze plugs it's a 215 ci. alum. block buick motor if it is iron block they will use cast iron welding rods to do it

If you need a 100% sure check, jack the tire clear that is in question and rotate the valve stem to top and remove the core and slowly rotate the tire till the fluid begins to run out. But the frost or dew line to me is right accurate if both tires are in the shade or sun the same. kt

This makes for great reading and very unfortunate outcome. Try looking on Ebay for Kubota B8200DT Control Valve PN: 67830-37305. I only see well worn used stuff not cheap either.

I cannot see why a Kubota dealer could not install a different newer control in its place even if they had to fabricate a plate to mount it though.

Assuming you have measured the pump pressure and it is good, it may still be that botch job done in the beginning on the hoses and fluids that may still be the culprit with bad hydro line connectors :(

Couple more things on the Subaru Boxer now with the ultra thin oil 0W20 weight they had some oil consumption issues. Also some head gasket and ring issues on the 2013 Impreza, supposedly resolved in 2014 models.

If you need to do a valve job the engine has to be removed on Boxer style blocks.

I think the low center of the engine does help with stellar crash ratings.

These are high revving fun engines though!

Harvey I am always amazed at what I see almost every time I am out on the interstates.

Yesterday a petite lady in an Acura leaning against the drivers window with her Iphone wedged against the glass, could barely see over the steering wheel. Totally distracted by the phone conversation, oblivious to the slow moving tractor trailer in the right lane, rapidly closing in at over 80 MPH, only braking at the last minute. Talking on the phone even hands free is bad news, most people completely forget they are driving and cannot even remember how they got to their destination!

jobone, I am puzzled by what the problem with weight below the axle? For preventing roll over the lower the weight the better (which you sort of mention with working on slopes). I have had one tractor with radials and the dealership recommended filling them and they pulled very good. May have good pulled very good if not filled on that tractor, as they were filled when we got it and filled when it left.

By no means a traction expert, seems the best way to find out on a tractor would be to test it with heavy pull load with air only, then fill the tires and test again. Just my experience have bought from two different dealerships and had tire worked on by other dealership and at least here seems to be the norm. That does not make it right.
