it just shuts down before it even gets warm I cleaned gas tank , new gas, new fuel pump, new carb,restrictor and air filter ,all where bad, I can understand pump and carb going at the same time but now the coil? but anyway thanks for the info that's more than the dealer could give unbelievable what I had to go through to find out it has no ignitor so I guess ill replace the coil now is there any kind of sensor that could be shutting it down it seems if the coil was bad it would not run at all how can I test coil before purchasing new

As I was out trimming the hedges today, I had some time to ponder over your friend's situation.

It's possible that the excavator's hydraulic pressure relief valve may have been adjusted, causing the system to go into bypass. Fluid flowing through a pressure bypass valve will also generate a tremendous amount of heat.

I have a Cub Cadet 5234D. After each use, I use my blower to clean the machine. Periodically, I have a similar problem. After starting the tractor, everything seems normal except that the battery light remains on, and the PTO will not engage after pressing the PTO ignition button.

My solution works every time.

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Wait 30 seconds. I take this time to clean the terminals and the top of the battery.
3. Re-install the battery terminal.
4. Start my machine.
5. Everything works as if it were new.

The above works for me. I hope it works for you.

So you have 20 acres but you don't say what it is! Is it woods, or fields that will need to be mowed.

I do agree that a larger size is needed.

I just purchased a MF 35 Utility tractor. The Gentleman I purchased from said he has only had this tractor a few years and purchased from the original owner.<br>

It came with the original owners manual and he stated it was a 1957. My question is the plate on the dash says �Massey Ferguson MF 35� United States. Serial # UGF655001390.<br>
It has a Z 134 continental engine and a Mod. 200 loader serial # 7767<br>

I believe the U is either United States or Utility? The G & F Gas and single stage clutch, but the 655001390 is no were close to and serial numbers I can reference except a model 65, which would be 1957.<br>

The plate definitely says MF 35 and a 65 would have a 176.<br>

Anyone know why the serial number is this high. First few 35's off the line for Massey Ferguson after Ferguson TO 35?

Lets talk on the anti-freeze! The temperature rating on anti freeze will not change from what I've seen but what does happen is the other additives wear out! Yes it will still be good in color but the anti rust, bearing lubricant and the ability of the anti cavitation additive to work all loose there effectiveness over time.
This does not mean that you have to change your antifreeze but at least add additives to restore the additives!
Years ago on the tractor trailer that I drove the filter that was supposed to restore or maintain the proper levels of the additives was EXPENSIVE but I found that Cummins also used the same stuff so I went to that at less then a tenth the cost to keep the wet sleeve engine in good shape.

you Really don't have a Massey-Ferguson tractor your tractor says Massey-Ferguson but it is an Iseki made in japan.Not sure about Parts or linkage.

japan,china,India tractor I try to stay away from..
I rather have an low hour older Massey-Ferguson or a Ford tractor then these foreign made tractors that you can't get parts or anyone to work on them.

A 2 Series Massey-Ferguson tractor is the best I think like a 230,235,240,250,255.Etc.
I have a 250 m-F for sale with about 1295 actual hours price is $8750.00 diesel a very good tractor ,I'm the 2nd owner.

I filled my hydraulic sump to the point where fluid just reached high enough to wet the bottom of the dipstick. But threaded Asian dipsticks should not be screwed back into the hole for a level check. Unscrew, wipe, set back ON the hole, remove, check level. Checking the level ON the hole rather than IN the hole will partially solve the mystery of the missing fluid. The rest is likely in the lines and cylinders.

Also, never lower hitch or FEL before shutting off the engine. Doing so will push fluid back to the sump, possibly overfilling it to the point of spillage out the vent plug. Lower hydraulics, shut off engine, THEN check levels.

Front drive uses same GEAR OIL as transmission & rear end. But you should only fill it to the point the axle shafts are submerged. You should drain some out, or you'll develop leaks. Don't just top up and forget though, as it takes a while for the thick gear oil to flow into the outboard drives. Check again in after about an hour of driving the tractor, and top up as necessary.

Transmission & rear end should have marks on the dipstick. Same thing; remove, wipe, set in hole, check level, adjust as required.

Hydraulic sump has a drain. Front end has a drain, transfer case has a drain, tranny has a drain, as does the rear end. Some variants even have a 2nd rear end drain. And again, if/when topping up tranny/rear end, work the tractor for a while and check levels again.

I have an 05 Cub 7532 hydrostatic.<br>

The range select lever is not working. It was popping out of high, then when in a neutral location was in mid gear. Finally it stopped working at all and tractor appears to be in neutral. Took lever apart and shaft appears to be turning to inside of tranny. Anyone have expoerience with this? Any other reasons I may be missing that cause this problem? <br>

I have already taken the steps I read in your post. The oil did not separate. I definitely have gas in my oil. I am also wondering if the electric fuel pump should run continuously or if it should pump up and stop with the key in the on position?<br>

There lots of drain plugs on your tractor. Please be more specific as to what it is you want to drain.

Building permits and building codes can vary greatly. You need to check with your county on that. Probably a phone call to the building department can answer those questions or get you close. Do note if this is a true farm some areas have different regulations on them or if a true commercial operation again different regulations on those. I would suggest you make a information gathering phone call to begin with sharing as little info as you can. Here calling the building a "shop" compared to "barn" makes major differences in plans cost, building options and so forth.

As to the building itself would suggest you try and find building like you want and begin with asking that owner. Strongly suggest you do a lot of looking at buildings for there are many options and there can be wide variance in cost on similar buildings.

I understand the fear of large repair bill. In my case I spent more on parts that were suppose to be the problem than it would have cost for dealer with wiring diagram and their knowledge would have cost. Also know each shop and case is different.

If still paying off, have you checked how long warranty is?
