Art White,

Maybe you, or someone else here, can tell me a bit about the new B50 Series being offered by Kubota.

The Kubota website has a walk-around video (New Products section), but the tractor is sitting in the shadows. No real view of it.

Any idea what the engine horsepower ratings will be in the new B50 Series? I see they are offering tilt wheel, arm rests on the seat, possibly more ground clearance, maybe larger front and rear tires?

The new B50 Series even has a step, much like that of the larger L Series. I also notice they've changed the design of the front mounting plate. It sticks out further in front than the older design.

I'm a bit anxious to hear more about the B50 Series. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am looking at putting Kasco front blade on a L2250 DT and the hydraulic lines hook up under the seat by the draft knob,but i have a hydraulic block down by the filter on the right side of tractor with 2 plugs and flat head screw on the side with 3 steel lines coming from the back of valve.My question is can I hook into this block instead of going to the back under the seat?? The Kasco blade has 1 cylinder for up/down of the blade and 1 lever to raise it up and down.Thanks

I've got sa whole box full of differeent ez-out gizmos that were all a failure compared to the left hand bits.
An old friend who ran a machine shop tipped me off to the left had bit thing years ago.
The worst case situation, and I've been there is to have an ez-out snap off level with the end of the broken stud or plug. Those things are hard as glass and impossible to drill out, so the next step is usually the acetylene torch, but that raises all kinds of other issues, don't go there if at all possible.

Have an early sn# TO-35 and the control valve inside the hydraulic pump needs to be replaced. I have found the control valve but I also need the second spacer/retainer that covers it inside the port. It is the spacer/retainer that has an o-ring on both sides. Whoever worked on it prior to me damaged it when getting it out and they reused it but it is now cracked and I do not want to use it. Can anyone tell me where I could get this part. I am at a standstill until I find the part. Thank you. Just got my 1957 Massey Ferguson and it runs great, needs hydraulic overhaul. Sometimes you can remove the rears and reinstall them with the other side out -- to increase the offset, that is, make the track wider.

You are correct, Sir. PTO generators aren't cheap. However, when I decided to purchase a backup generator for emergency power, I decided that I'd much rather have a PTO model.

Since emergency generators don't get used too often, it's only natural that they also don't get much medical attention.

I didn't think I'd use my emergency generator all that often, so I went with the PTO model. However, now that I have the capability of powering my welder and plasma cutter wherever I want to, I find myself using the generator far more often than I first thought I would.

When I compare the cost and capabilities of both systems, I'd much rather have a real generator.

The problem with the "dead man" switch got better, but the problem was not totally resolved. It continued to happen, just not as often. On October 23rd I added another veneer circle cutout on top of the one that I had previously installed. I also readjusted the seat to make it "stiffer" when I sit down on it. <br>

As of November 3rd I now have over six hours of additional tractor use since the things mentioned above were done. To date I have not had any more problems with the "dead man" switch. I have not however lifted the seat up since adding the second veneer circle, so I do not know what will happen should I lift the seat and then put it back down. I guess that I will find out in time whether this issue has been resolved for good or not!

We do take filters apart from time to time and it is interesting as to the differences in construction as well as the paper used. There are often reasons for lower prices!

How much of a concern is it that there is no power steering? Someone mentioned that if I was doing a lot of loader work it would be a problem.
Also is this the model that I have read about in the past that has a poorly designed generator of elec system and an upgrade is necessary?

An hour meter is an hour meter (though some show the full time only at working RPMs) but make sure an off-brand tach will be accurate for your engine.

I have an L3410 3pt lift on it, make your own mount to the fram, i did 3pt only lifts it, the mount prevents it from moving back and forth no slop. Works fine with a hoe. Is not a quick on and off item.
