Unaware of a model 435. I'm guessing you mean JM354. If the backhoe and front loader are Chinese, you should personally test operate both to see if you're satisfied with the hydraulics. Most quickly find them jerky and erratic, which is why you see so many Chinese tractors wearing aftermarket (American or Korean). Next - 25 hours doesn't necessarily mean "almost new". We should know what model year this machine is. You can get that info off the engine plate and/or the tractor plate. Not to mention that you should visually confirm that the hour meter actually works.<br>

And "[i]cracks next to the bucket[/i]" is a little vague. There's a big difference between bucket repair and boom replacement [b]especially[/b] if it's Chinese.<br>

Bought a trailer and truck 2 weeks ago on truck and 3 on trailer. Put truck in shop this week for some minor issues and got it out today.

Bought a 2000 GMC 3500 with dump bed on it. Put it to work last Saturday and if weather if good tomorrow also. It sure made hauling and unloading trash from old barn easy.

Every body needs a tractor, trailer and dump truck. Looks good loaded and parked in yard.

Bought both for my needs...price cheap and travel on road short.

My 2000 4x2 Gator is having brake problems. When in neutral I can not push it forward or back as the brakes are engaged. When in gear it will move but when the gas is let up it will stop within in a few feet. I have been told to adjust the brakes or to replace the brakes at a cost of $1800.00 which seems excessively high. Is there a way to adjust the brake tension or do they need to be replaced.

Some cool furniture there----love that big round table that expands---don't know where I could put one though--our cabin is only 600 sq. ft..

I too suspect it's a regional thing Dennis.

Around here it's about a 60% (dealer) 40% (private) split on used cars.

I just got back from another shopping trip to Tampa FL and did a bunch of 'pre-shopping' research online before going down there, there was no shortage of a) private sales, but more importantly, b) no shortage of dealers offering [u]big[/u] discounts off the asking price for quick cash sales.

One of the items I bought as an example, was a 2004 motorhome, NADA value was $76k., dealer was asking $56k, I bought it for $38k cash.

I also noticed a lot of dealer 'inventory' was actually consignment units.

I think things are getting better in the hitch world making interchangability much easier. In the past in an attempt to keep you buying their brand of impliments International Harvester and Allis Chalmers come to mind as having their own design of hitch on the tractor that only their brand of impliments would fit. Also some of the short line builders of three point equipment didn't comply with standard dimensions of the catregory one like most of us little guys have or on up thru the bigger tractors and impliments of category 2, Cat. 3, Cat3W, and Cat. four for the really big ones. Finally I think now all major builders are using the SAE standard three point hitch.
I have a Land Pride Category one quick hitch with the adjustable top hook. So far everything has fit the lower pins but i have had to adjust the top hook to accomidate some iof the impliments. I did modify a couple older impliments to fit the quick coupler rather than modify the quick coupler, I'm glad I did it that way because those old machines have long since bit the dust and been replaced with ones that fit the quick coupler.

If not mistaken that tractor is about 60 HP. Would think you would be fine with a 5 foot and maybe 6 foot "bushhog". By that think you mean rough cut mower.

Now is it a good tractor, well two issues here. For it's price Long had decent tractors all I know of them. But the issue is parts for the company has closed and left dealers in a mess with no support or very little parts is my understanding and nothing has really changed there again is my understanding.

FYI the older farm single shank subsoilers did have sharpen vertical edge or at least in my part of the world they did and they would shear a side root right well. Agree with your method.

I woul dcall the folks at flailmaster and chat with them about the flail mower. I believe the Vemco folks were bought out by Alamo Industrial and shut down.

IF THE LEVER THAT IS CAUSING THE GRINDING IS ON THE LEFT SIDE UNDER THE SEAT AREA, THAT CONNECTS TO THE DRIVE TRAIN AND THE CLUTCH NEEDS TO BE PUSHED IN, ALSO CUT YOUR RPM'S DOWN. THE HEIGHT ADJUSTER IS ON THE RT SIDE OF THE SEAT. THE GRINDING SOUNDS LIKE THE LEVER THAT ENGAGES THE PTO AND THE CLUTCH IS KEY HERE.

A friend emailed it to me.

Apparently he was in stitches watching because of what my Deputy Dog did a few years back. My friend had bought a new place that included a barn that was pretty infested with mice and Norway rats.

I offered to bring my two Jacks over to cure the problem, he was skeptical, until he saw how frantic they got at the mere scent of the place. Just like that one was doing in the ladys arms.

The two of them went nuts darting to & fro often dispatching rodents at a full run without even breaking stride.

He just stood there with his mouth hanging open, speechless at the scene unfolding in front of him.

Unfortunately the little bugger has a problem judging size, he took on a wild hog in Florida last week. :)
