Mike, was not being smart as to knowing if drain plug. Have a Kubota model about same as your's and can not remember a drain plug in that area. It sounds a like a drain plug from your description. Lets see if we can get Art to help us, he is a Kubota dealer.

Mine was doing the same and shifted hard out of reverse. After reading posts here and on another site, I turned the idle down to just above where the alternator? far left idiot light comes on. Helped some. Then I grabed the air compressor hose and started blowing out the primary clutch. OMG !!! Can't believe the junk that came out of there. Obviously had never been done. Now it shifts super smooth and no grinding.

Greg, I have friends who had Long and then Farmtrac dealership. It is my understanding from them over the years that the Longs were built in Eastern Europe and thought the Farmtrac in India and was told they were using old Ford Tractor specs, not saying some of them were not Korean. Know at one time there was the Blue and then the Purple models. The name on the label might have been different. I really believe am correct on Long being Eastern European but might be off on Farmtrac. The Mahrandia think is based in India but believe they are not all made there and they may have LS or someone building some of theirs. Think same dealer told me at least one model Mahrandia was a LS and about $10,000 less as an LS.

It is a changing market place.

The problem with sales numbers IMHO is that different companies have different definitions of units, so one company might include rebadged units they bought as part of their sales volume, while others include what some would consider as "estate" or "garden" tractors in their "compact tractor" numbers.

The thing with the cutting brakes is if both are mechanically locked together, then yes, touching the brake will defeat the cruise. But if don't connect the brakes together the right brake will work and still allow cruise to stay on; its the left brake only that has the switch.

For the $10 difference in price would buy the 35 hp rated shaft. The 16 might be sufficient on this blower but the next item you would probably then have to buy the higher rated shaft.

Do check for proper length before you buy and certain don't install too long or too short a shaft for too long WILL damage something and too short can also.

Better tires will always help. Under normal conditions, you shouldn,t put the vehicle in low gear. If you left it in drive, your anti-lock brakes could peform as intended. While in the low gear, the engine braking will not have any anti-locking feature to help you stay in control.

Still getting the front clunking noise on my 2008 620 as posted in 2010. Its coming from the front of the machine and is now more pronounced on first use of the day and lessens after warms. Does the same in 2 or 4WD. Everything on drivetrain checks out and can find no loose components, etc. Its for sure coming from the front drive system as I've eliminated all else...any help would be greatly appreciated before going through the dealer network.

I noticed when I was working my new to me toy the differential in the rear does not lock. The lever only moves maybe an 1/8 of an inch when I engage it. What is normal here? I noticed it will spin either left or right rear but not both at once. Any tips on what could be wrong? new to these things and can not find any info or diagram on the differential. Or much of anything for that matter.

I ran across a maybe strange problem while changing the hydraulic fluid. I found a drain plug in the far back behind the rear differntal...I unscrewed the plug and it was completely dry as a bone. I still changed the hydro fluid from the strainer hole and cleaned the strainer and it fixed the hydraulics...its much better.
But Im concerned about this drain plug in the back that had no fluid in it. It seems to me this rear chamber should have fluid in it.
Can anybody tell me what this rear plug goes to...or if its suppose to be dry ?? It just to the right and below the PTO drive shaft.

Your problem sounds just like mine from a few years ago at 750 hours on my Deere 755 Yanmar. I had the same symptoms as yours and it was lack of compression due to worn rings and cylinder walls. The air intake connections were loose and sucked in a lot of dust and prematurely scored the cylinder walls. We found low compression on all three cylinders. After tearing down the engine every part of the engine was within specification other than the bore. Hopefully it is something else but it does not sound like it.

Hi all a follow up to my Hyd Cly project for my back blade. I purchased a 16" HC from FiteRiteHyd which Greg had suggested. I have it mounted and it works like a charm. Still working on getting the selector valve set up but for now I am using the tilt lever since I really do not need it for my grading project. Thanks Bill
