They're fine if you have a lot of hefty wood in remote locations. Otherwise, they're costly compared with a small electric for around $200. (For another few hundred you could get an inverter that would let you run it off your battery.)

I pulled my pump, it was not too bad :)
Cleaned it up, I cannot see where it was leaking, must be a seal somewhere in the middle, weep seam?
I will call Nortrac tomorrow and see how much a rebuild kit will cost.

I just got a 1987 Belarus 250AS tractor given to me by a good friend.. It runs great, but has a problem...the hydraulics leak badly when trying to use the 3 point on any implements. I purchased a gasket set which comes with gaskets, O rings, looks like some grommets and some other plastic ring parts. The owner's manual has nothing about rebuilding or repairing the hydraulic system...no schematics or anything. The lines look good, and the pump looks ok, but I'm not sure where to replace all the O rings, gaskets, etc. There aren't any Belarus dealers out here so i'm basically on my own. Any help or advice would be greatly appriciated. I have some good pictures with the pump removed, etc. that I can send if needed. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.<br>

Pretty much had to pull the engine to get to the flywheel. I was sure hopeing that the key was sheared in the flywheel but it was good as new. I guess all that's left is valves and piston.

Hello, I am new to the Board, so Hope this goes well. I dont mean to be long winded, but here is the facts the best I can descripe. I have a 1990 Ford 6610 series 2 with Q cap, 2 wd with only 1678 hours on it. I have a TA26 Westerndorf Loader on the tractor. The loader valve assembly has been tied into the hydraulic's of the tractor by 2 hoses that appear to becoming from the top of the Tramission housing,where the Valve assemblies normally appear to be (Under the seat). The Loader works fine. I have single remote set on the back. Up until a week or so ago the 3 pt worked OK. I had hooked a disc up and done some discing, but during discing I noted that the Hydraulics did repound slower than normal, but they did work. After discing I went to hook up to a 3 pt implemetn. The tractor well not raise any implement at all. Without a implement the 3pt arms well raise normally and stay up, not drifiting down. I have tried with and without the loader attached, etc. No luck. There is a line that comes from the Valve area(Under the seat to the remote set, propaply 1/8" steel. I have removed and blew out. Operated the tractor with it off, and fluid is discharged from the Remote set. Fluid is full, was a little low to bein with but brought up to safe area. I need HELP, and really cna't fin any. I hope someone is out there that can shed a little lite on me. I am fair at mech., and fair at knowing my way around the tractor, but in know means not an expert by any form of the word. Any help would help this ole farm boy out, thanks Ken.

If you're talking about on the oil pump pickup screen, no. Unless the oil has been contaminated to the point of congealing that is.<br>

I think you're right. As I recall after the closure of the Maytag plant he sold is tractor and property and moved elsewhere. Hopefully he is doing well.

I am really glad I did not take your advice. I got a 4.5' Loader Buddy and love it. Well made, fits great and does everything as advertised.....With a little practice I might add. There was some delay in the order but it was worth the wait.

Howdy from the Smokies I have the RC44 dec k and just replaced my furtherest u joint out from the engine on the rear part of the drive. They are really small for the tractor but seem to last me around 800hrs. Make sure when you order that you get the correct one. On the 44 deck they changed the u joint design after sn 14860. The older u joints like mine are the old ring keeper setup, and the groove in the yoke is about .250 different from the c clip setup on the 14861 and up. If you haven't gone to Messicks.com and down loaded all the pdf files for your tractor and deck it's a great set of tools. Just watch out. Shipping for the single 3 oz ujoint is $14.95. find a local Kubota Dealer and save shipping. Rick in NC

Yanmar doesn't make tillers; somebody may have put "Yanmar" on them. I think these came over as part of a grey-market shipment, in which case there would be no documentation in English from the maker. <br>

BTW... the tires and wheels are as-new.... they still have the little rubber whiskers. R-4's are so totally useless in my book the I just replaced them as soon as I could when I got the new tractor.

My slant is that the determining factor is the application, not the bucks you can beg or borrow. A 2-seat car won't do what a 6-seater can. But a 30HP tractor will do everything an 90HP will, just take longer. It's easier to transport and cheaper to equip, and can get into places a bigger one can't. And they're much more common on the private resale market.

But if the application requires a Category III hole digger or the transport of two-yard bucketfulls, then you don't have the option of a compact rig.

Randy yes I replaced it. Much the same as you I had my doubts. But I figured $5 what to heck I try it.

Again I can't say enough good things about the guy with the info. It saved me a lot of money. There have been many other folks on here that have received advice that saved them money and headaches.

Anyways not one problem since.

Hours are possible. I have a 10 year old Kubota with about 70 to 75 per year. A lot depends on the rpms they are run at as the hour meter is based upon RPMs and time run. No idea on the price.
