I don't know the 250 right off. But found a site that is suppose to have a free download of layout on that tractor.

I would doubt the PTO lever would connect to a filter housing. Does that tractor also have remote hyd? If so on some MF you can not run both 3 pth and a remote lift at same time. You have to normally pull the 3 pth fully up for the remote to work and if one of remote levers is in not the central position don't know if the 3 pth will work. My brother has a 273 or so model and think the hyd filter on it is a spin on type. About same year as your's.

Have you checked your oil to be sure it is still clean and does not have water getting in it still?

The electric clutch has a certain gap range that it operates in. If the gap is too tight, the clutch will not disengage. If the gap is too much, it will disengage. The clutch is a spring loaded device in the pulley and has 3 bolts that can be tightened. I believe there is a service manual describing the procedure.

I guess I'm in the minority here.

I use a 3pth splitter run off the tractors remotes, but I also have a bracket that allows me to put it on the FEL in place of the bucket if I so desire.

Without working too hard at all, and with a helper or two, I can easily split a cord an hour.

Considering I only burn about 4 cords a year between all 3 of my places, I don't see 4 hours of engine time a year a big deal.

I put more than that on it driving around the neighbourhood. ;)

I have a 2x4 with the 12 volt accessory outlet on the dash. It goes to a 10amp fuse in the fuse block. I know because I blew it. I did not notice anything else that stopped working. Does anyone know for sure if that is the only thing on that particular circuit, and would there be any issues with upgrading the fuse?<br>

Remember a new mower can have a bent pulley or bad belt or bearing or something loose. Have you checked to be sure all turn freely and you are greasing all properly. I found out a air powered grease gun (my does any way) will sound like it is pumping grease when it is not. Learned to use manual for bearings.

You asked for suggestions between those tractors, I will passed on that also.

It would be a help to tell how close to the house you will be digging. How wide you want to dig or need to dig. Also when you say a "few" meters how many do you mean, a number range would be better.

If you wanting to dig only, excavator sure beats any TLB. Depending on depth and width needed a trencher is also great. If you are far enough from the house for the outriggers the TLB does offer the front end loader benefit. I would check the specs and back off the max digging depth by a foot at least. Also since you are looking at used machines pay some attention to the bucket. Just because it has a certain width bucket does not mean it will handle that width in your dirt and it also might not be a digging bucket but probably will be.

Renting a machine is low cost compared to buying and hiring is lower cost compared to damaging house. If you are looking to price for rental don't take a daily rate and figure that would be price for say 7 days as weekly is less and monthly is less than 4 weekly rates would be. At risk of being rude and don't mean to if you are installing draining ditch here be sure you know the proper materials and steps. I know, it is no fun to install drain tile to have to come back later to do it right.

The mounts on the deck are different spacing. About the best way to do it is to find another tractor with the right deck and change them and then sell the one with the 42" deck. The Super series used different brackets yet! This doesn't meant though that with a torch and welder that you couldn't modify to fit!

You mentioned cruising speed, so it is when being driven I assume. If you have four wheel drive are you running it in 4 wheel drive on such as paved road? If so the drive train is binding up loading it up.

TYM = "Tong Yang Moolsan", based in South Korea, never has been Chinese. They have manufactured tractors for SAME, Mahindra and Montana, and have been sold in the USA under the Millenium and Scorpion brands as well. TYM also builds John Deere tractors for sale in S.Korea. Several of their models use John Deere engines.

Mahindra is based in India. They buy some tractors from Tong Yang (10-series), Mitsubishi (15- and 16-series), build some in China at their J.V. (2525 for example), and the rest they build themselves in India (00-, 25-, 30-series)

i have a john deere 790. i was using it and it died and i had to jump start it. it ran for about 15 more minutes. then died again and when i tryed to jump it again it blew the 5 amp fuse. now keeps blowing that same fuse everytime i try to start it... does anyone have any ideas of what it mite be?

Men,
I am fixing to establish a bermuda grass lawn of about 3 acres. Instead of sowing my bermuda in my flower beds, driveway, and the cotton field surronding my yard, I thought about using a yard maker. My question is will the gate close down enough to accuratley drop bermuda seed? the ground will be worked and rolled down to a firm seed bed. I was wondering if the roller was going to be to aggresive and plant the seed to deep. What do you guys suggest??

You are correct on the o ring there is none on a 4x2 gator the man said the carb was rebuilt right and its sealing off the fuel correct so its not the carb i ordered a ignitor for 71.00 today it will be here tomorrow and ill see if that fixes the machine cutting off I will post if that fixes the problem Bart..

Does your 2210 (I don't know that model) have the "powershift" system, that is, a control to the left of the steering wheel that you use to shift into reverse, neutral, and forward gears 1, 2, and 3?<br>

If it does, the floor lever would be the "range" selector. It gives you five speed ranges (the C would be for the extra-slow "Creeper" gear), within each of which you have the three forward and one reverse speeds from using the powershift. <br>

There may also be a floor lever that lets you select 3 or 4 PTO speeds. The slowest would turn the PTO at 550 RPM when the engine is a bit below the maximum.<br>
